Ceril pulled valentine off of suzaku and kept a foot on his chest to keep him down. She was still smiling, not letting anything ruin her good mood. "i've got this hon. what's going on is you're ruining our...honeymoon...i guess this is what this would be. she glanced back at valentine, frowning slightly. "we should really go somewhere to celebrate. It's what the humans do and since I didn't get a really wedding I think it's only fair." her eyes drifted back down to the damphir under her foot. "i've always wanted a big fancy wedding. Oh well...you. You shouldn't be here if you want to live. Especially since one of your kind was killed by the VHS earlier today. You're like the foolish gazelle that walked into the lion's den. If master balmore see's you, then you have absolutely no chance of survival." there was a beaming smile across her face as her red bangs fell into her eyes. "i'm doing you a favor and you should be thankful."

 

Balmore Manor

Valentine vaugely heard her words and crawled up her body to her neck and mumbled, "We'll go somewhere nice soon.... Somewhere with blinds....and a big bed...and the ocean." Suzaku snarled at her from under her foot, "You're really crazy, lady. I'm here to kill that damned Vampire that lives in this church! I'll kill him even if he kills me and then I'll kill your husband! Vampires are a disease to our world!"

Ceril acknowledged valentine's words with a quick nod and dug her foot deeper into suzaku's chest, applying a great deal of pressure to his ribcage. "how can you say that? It would be understandable if you were human, but you're not. I used to think the same way actually. It wasn't until recently that it changed." although her expression was stern towards suzaku, she gave valentine a pleasant smile. He was the reason her opinion changed. "if we're a disease, so are you. You are half of what we are. You share our power, but with the bonus of not needing blood and the ability to die a natural death. If you insist on not leaving peacefully, you'll be dead before master balmore even realizes you're here." her redish-brown eyes flashed a vibrant crimson as she stared down at him. "i'm not crazy, but if you want to see crazy...i'll show it to you." she dug the toe of her flats into his windpipe.

 

Balmore Manor

Suzaku choked and gasped for air. Valentine licked Ceril's neck in one long stroke and bit into her vein. Thirst burned in his throat and her blood slowed in her veins, calling to him. How could he possibly resist the temptation.

ceril loosened the grip on suzaku's neck when she felt valentine bite into her. she knew he was hungry, but now was probably the least ideal time for feeding. she had offered herself to him early, but he had been too proud to take any blood. ceril was trying to keep a serious face as she stared down at the halfbreed, but it was slowly starting to fade.

 

Balmore Manor

Suzaku gasped and stared up at the couple. For a few minutes he was captivated by Valentine's rapid successsion gulps. The slow motion of his throat swallowing the blood held Suzaku in a trance. Though it sounded like someone gulping down mouthfuls of water, the expression taking hold of Ceril's face told him easily, Valentine wouldn't let her feel any pain. The Vampire must have been starving for the amount he was taking...perhaps he'd been wounded before.

 

Mayor's Office~~

"And you never will," Rin said, a tear falling down her eye. Deep in the pit of her stomach, she knew it was wrong to cry. Seth was going to find her; he had to.

ceril kept a firm foot on suzaku's chest, while running her fingers through valentine's hair. her eyes were closed and she tugged lightly on the ends of his locks. her voice was a faint whisper as she spoke down to the damphir on the floor. "do you still insist on fighting or will you leave?" ceril's eyes flashed open for a brief moment, awaiting his response.

 

Mayor's house

Lucy thumped onto her bed and scowled at the girl, "You act like a child. Your vampire boyfriend isn't going to come for you because he doesn't know where you are."

Suzaku blinked and shook out of the trance. His eyes narrowed into slits and he grabbed up one of his knives from the ground. Plunging it into Valentine's thigh. "I'll never surrender to Vampires!" he shouted before an unearthly scream filled the manor. Valentine's cry wasn't human, it was pure Vampire as he shrieked in pain.

ceril's eyes turned crimson and her attitude quickly changed into something fierce. she slammed her foot down on suzaku's chest, most likely breaking a few ribs. valentine was her husband now and she wasn't going to let some silly delusional half-breed hurt him. ceril picked him up by the collar and through him into the wall. "no one hurts my husband! especially not a damphir like you!" she bared her fangs and lunged for his throat. if he was going to attack them, then he was going to die trying.

Suzaku cringed in pain and still managed to slither away before Ceril could rip out his throat. Even with a few ribs broken, he could stll fight. "It's because of Vampires like him that I'm what I am! If I don't kill him...he'll kill more people...and that means my associates will come for him. Either way...he dies!" His small fangs slid out as he faced her.

ceril's eye twitched as she stepped forward, closer to suzaku. "HE did not do anything! it is because of some foolish sex crazed male vampire with no priorities decided to have sex with a human girl! that is why you're here. not because of my husband." She was seething. it was true that valentine had attacked a human the night before, but the damphir wasn't because of him. that was someone else's mistake. "we actually have a code, laws and rules. hunting humans has been virtually outlawed. we have a new means to feed us." her fangs glistened white and her eyes were as bright as her hair. ceril pressed her finger firmly into suzaku's chest. "would you like to learn more about it?" her voice had softened and was smooth, almost enticing. she batted her eyelashes and ran her finger down his chest.

Suzaku knocked her finger away from him, "You can't trick me as easily as you trick humans." Skirting her, he hopped up the stairs, "Vampires are all the same. They kill for food or pleasure. I'm sure your husband is no better!"

Valentine dug the knife out of his leg, the wound closing quickly before more blood was lost.

ceril moved towards the stairs rather quickly. she didn't want seth to be disturbed, since he was already so upset. "it's called the circle of life hon. everything in existence does it. vampires, animals, and even humans. humans hunt animals both for food and for fun. it's a fond past time for a lot of humans, called hunting. i'm sure if you ask anyone in this backwoods town you'll come to learn that right quick." she stood at the bottom of the stairs and was ascending them rapidly to keep up with the damphir. she glanced over, seeing valentine pull the knife out of his leg. "are you okay, sweetie?"

 

OOC: Now that I'm back for good, can i get a recap?

 

ooc: Suzaku mananaged to pull himself from the river, choosing to burst carelessly into the Balmore Manor again and picking a fight with Valentine and Ceril who are now mated by Valentine's rash actions. Seth has gone into a frenzy. Lucy kidnapped Rin and took her to the mayor's house where she lives. Nina has taken the other Dhamphir's closer into the center of town to avoid the Lycan Hunters.

Suzaku took advantage of Ceril's concern for her husband and threw a right hook at her face.

Valentine cracked his neck and dropped the knife. "Never better..." he mumbled and disappeared in an instant. Reappearing in front of Ceril and Suzaku, he caught Suzaku's fist and tilted his head to the side. "I didn't realize you were fond of hitting women. Tsk...you should be more respectful." With the barest of movements, Valentine snapped Suzaku's forearm in half and crushed his hand. Suzaku dropped to his knees, gritting his teeth to hold back the screams of pain. "D-doesn't hurt..." "Oh?"

ceril raised an eyebrow as suzaku dropped to his needs. she gave valentine a kiss on the cheek and smiled. "thank you for that sweetie." she knelt down and squeezed the damphir's hand. "are you sure? it looks like it hurts pretty bad." even after he tried to attack, she was still being kind. ceril held his hand gently after squeezing it and smiled happily. she didn't care if he was in pain, but she was still willing to help if he planned on stopping. "are you done fighting now?"

Suzaku groaned out his pain and snarled between clenched teeth, "And if I say no?" "I'll rip you limb from limb." Valentine said with such careless ease that Suzaku didn't doubt his words. "Destroy me...and others will come. Others more skilled than me."

 

Rin's fists clenched. She saw no reason to keep her self control, but she felt that Seth wouldn't wish for her to put herself in any more danger. "He'll notice," Rin said lowly. "He'll see that I'm not home and he'll find me. Then you're going to pay."

 

Mayor's House

"And if he doesn't come for you?" Lucy sighed at the girl's reluctance to see how unreliable vampires were when you weren't their kind. "What if he has something else to worry about? Something closer at hand and he can't come for you."
