Road to Chruch~

"While I am from out of town, I'm quite familar about the rumors of the chruch." Keel replied before carefully moving his hand to where his revolver was. "From my point of view, it sound quite interesting so I decided to check it out."

Luin~

While the bats where flying out delivering the invitation Allen decided to throw a rock at one of them. As soon as the rock hit it, the bat dropped the invitaion right at his feet before flying off. It was carrying something. Allen thought as he bent down to pick up the invitation. "Maybe Onii-chan knows what this is." So he decided to go in the direction Keel went, without bothering to examine the invitation himself.

OOC: Decided to change Keel's weapon to a rapid fire revolver.

 

Orphanage~~

Anthony didn't smile when he saw Seth. He didn't distaste the man, but he didn't hold much trust in him either. It was just a mutual feeling, one that he could never shake. He raised his hand, offering him the seat right in front of his desk. "And what my I help you with today? Would you like to make a withdrawal?"

Hospital~~

Johanna had already gotten bored with the book that she was reading. Out of boredom, she picked up her invitation to tonight's party. For a long time, she didn't feel like going, although she knew that it was mandatory for her to attend each party. She was able to control her thirst for blood when she was working in the hospital, but she knew that she had to eat very soon. She then thought back to the young sick girl that she took care of during the past few nights. "I can save her," Johanna said to herself, crushing the invitation in her hand.

Johanna quickly pulled out her cell phone and dialed Seth.

 

Bank~

Seth didn't sit, but rather paced back and forth in front of Anthony's desk. "No, no...actually I'm here to discuss business. Your latest investor is not on good terms with my companies. His credit is low. My fortune telling-lupine friend informs me that this man will drag our business to the ground in a short three months. I've become so worried that I had Yuka delve further into his background and we've uncovered some nasty little secrets. Nothing like our secret of course...but he has a 23% chance of returning to this bank and Luin and ultimately setting fire to my quiet hometown. I'd like you to..." he paused and pulled out his cell phone that vibrated against his chest in his chest pocket on the inside of his jacket. Frowning at the caller ID, he clicked the little green button, "Yes Johanna? Is something the matter?"

Road to the Church~

Suzaku cautiously shifted until he was on the side of the road. "Interesting you say? I haven't heard such a thing...after all...what could be interesting about an abandoned church?" His eyes caught on a rustle of leaves and lifted both hands, removing his hand from his knife, and caught the leaping Nina. "Nina!" She smiled and chomped down on his nose, "You left me alone too long. I was bored so I followed you. This guy..he's a Dhamphir. Whether or not he's chosen the path of the Vampire Hunter Society, is his choice. Life...or death?" she turned red eyes towards the man and Suzaku yanked the hem of her dress over her legs.

Personality: Annie is serious and determined. she will do anything to protect her family. being the oldest, she always feels the need to take charge and be a leader. when it comes to changing, she has to lock herself away in order to keep others safe.
serena is more easy-going. she has her shy moments, but only when annie is taking charge. serena is always rather friendly, even when it probably is a bad thing. she usually doesn't have any problems when she changes, other than the occasional confusion as to where she is located when she changes back.
Bio: the twins, along with their younger sister, have been on the move since a couple of damphir killed their parents. they had been out in their werewolf state when they were attacked. the last place they lived started to have a series of disappearances and fingers started to be pointed at the strange newcomers in the woods. that was when annie decided it was time to pack up and head out. she found an add in the paper for a two-bedroom cabin with three acres for sale in some town called luin and now they are on their way there. annie and serena have been worried about their younger sister, since she is now the same age they both were when she started changing, but there haven't been any signs of her doing so.
Other: annie has a deep hatred for vampires. when she and serena made the purchase on the cabin, they had no idea what kind of world they were about to enter. serena's only encounter with vampires were the damphir that killed her parents. doesn't have a hatred for them like her sister, she actually wants to learn more about them.

bio: she doesn't really understand what is bothering her sisters, but can see that something is clearly wrong. vickie has been pestering annie and serena into letting her attend school like all the other kids, but for some reason they just wont allow it. she's not excited about moving for the what seems like the billionth time, but has put on a good facade. she has come to be very wise for her age and has yet to find out about their family history of being werewolves.

personality: rather morbid, hasn't taken a liking to the whole 'undead' thing. keeps to herself in her and rarely sees other people. her only form of interaction is the parties. other than that, nobody from town usually sees her. as if she didn't even exist.
bio: ceril was turned about thirty years ago. over time she has slowly lost the images of the man that made her this way. the one distinct feature she knows she'll never forget is his eyes. she sees his eyes in her reflection whenever she looks in the mirror. the red crimson eyes haunt her, especially at the balmore parties. ceril sees them on the faces of almost every attendant. she loathes being a vampire and tried to kill herself many a time when it first happened. she once was a heavy believer in the church and now feels that she's been condemned to a life of purgatory. she's learned over time that she doesn't have the ability to change others, and for that she is thankful. the last thing she wants is to force upon this life to others.
other: ceril spends all her time in a tree house she made herself in the middle of the woods. it's calls it her wooden prison. the punishment she has received for a life of immortality. there are no windows and the only belongings she has in it are a few of her favorite books that she's literally read a thousand times. ceril made herself a bed inside of the tree house, but since she doesn't sleep the only purpose it serves is a chair. she has come to adjust her diet to only drinking animal blood. at the parties, she goes without. the blood isn't the same as drinking a human, but she's learned to deal with it.

Vampire Hunter Society. Keel thought as a slight smile appeared on his face. It only lasted long enough for them to see his fangs before he decided to speak. "Sorry, but I've neverd heard of the Vampire Hunter's Society. you could say that I'm a freelancer of sorts.

Suzaku and Nina stood, brushing dust off of their clothes, "Now that we are better friends...why don't you tell us the real reason you're here. If the VHS didn't send you then...you've heard the rumors?" Suzaku raked his fingers through his red hair, his rings catching on strands. "What a bother... Alright...here's how we're doing this... Whether or not you're from the Society, we do this together."

 

Hospital~~

Johanna felt like panicking now. She wasn't quite sure what to ask him; her mind went completely blank. In desperation, she thought of the first worry that came to mind.

"Well, I was wondering something. What would happen if a vampire sucked the blood of someone with...let's say, cancer?"

annie sat in the driver's seat of her silver prius, headed down a long dirt road. it was a gift to herself and serena from their parents for their sixteenth birthday. as she drove she noticed that this was the only way into town on this end. it reminded her of the song 'hotel california.' you can check in, but never out. it might be what they finally needed. a place they could never leave. annie could tell all the moving was having a serious affect on her youngest sister vickie, even if she never did say anything about it. how was a seven-year-old supposed to make friends if she always left them. annie listened intently as her little sister sang along with the radio quietly in the backseat. "we're stopping at the bank first right? setting up that trust for vickie? along with our accounts?" she gave her sister serena a quick nod as they entered the heart of the town. the road into town was rather deceptive. it made it seem like the town of luin would be rather empty and barren, but once they got into it, she could see otherwise. vickie make sure you stay close. we don't want you disappearing. new town means new people. we have no clue what anyone here will be like." the little girl gave a silent nod as she climbed out of the backseat into the parking lot of the bank. it was rather large- almost intimidating.
serena held onto vickie's hand as they entered the bank and took a seat on the bench. she watched as her older twin walked over to a teller and spoke. she was only gone but a brief minute before returning to join them on the bench. "the woman said all of the bankers are busy at the moment. it shouldn't be long before we get to speak with one." serena caught the whiff of a strange aroma in the air. "do you smell that?" "yeah, i noticed it on our way into town. the add didn't say they would be here. there better not be trouble."
vickie looked up at her older sisters in confusion. "they who?" she watched as annie and serena exchanged nervous looks. they who?" it bothered her that her sisters never told her what was going on, but she always hoped it would change. apparently today wasn't going to be that day.

ceril sat on the makeshift bed in her small house. she had managed to find one of the tallest trees in the north woods to make her own. her tree house sat about thirty feet in the air. do to her speed and dexterity, getting up the tree was never a problem. she heard a light rapping coming from the floorboard entrance of the house and knew there was only one creature that could make that noise. "is it that time already?" she moved quickly and lifted the handle, caring manuevering so that she was out of the sunlight as the bat fluttered into the room. ceril took the small envelope containing the invitation to tonight's party. she let out a deep sigh as the bat flew back out the trap door. looks like i need to go out to eat tonight. she hated showing up to the party hungry, it made the desire for human blood very strong and almost impossible to withstand, but she swore and oath to herself that she would never drink it again. not since what happened last time.

 

As Mark was walking toward the forest, he spotted a group of people on a road leading out of town, to an old building that looked like a desecrated church. "I wonder what are they doing up there?" he wondered out loud, and then, glancing around to make sure no one was watching him, he started to stride up the road towards the group of people.

 

Seth pulled the knot of his tie down and cleared his throat, "Well...I'm saying this as a concerned friend. It wouldn't affect a vampire like us...but why would anyone want the blood of a sick being?" He sniffed and growled, "My apologies Johanna, I must be called away at the moment. You know you are always welcome to bring whomever you choose to the party. A guest of yours is a personal guest of mine."

 

Serena bit her lower lip nervously as they sat there on the bench. "Annie, I have a really bad feeling about this. Maybe we should come back later." Annie's gaze quickly shifted around the room. She could definitely smell a vampire, it was just a matter of where. "no. We need to do this now. It can't wait and wherever that vam--person is, we won't let it bother us. Not right now. There is too much at risk." she continued to watch the large floor of the bank while holding their bag tight to her side. nobody was going to get in their way of happiness, not this time.

 

Road to Chruch~

"Sounds like a plan." Keel replied as he noticed Mark out of the coner of his eye. "Guess I'm not the only who came to see the chruch."



Outside the bank~

As soon as Allen as came infront of the bank, he came to a sudden stop right in front of it. I'd reconized this feeling anywhere. With Keel gone to check out the chruch, Allen was left with two option. Go and get him or check it out for himself. "Guess I'm going in." he said to himself as he entered the Bank.

 

Annie let out a small growl as she notices the amell of vampire strengthen. "this is about to get bad. It's getting a lot stronger." her eyes turned fierce as she watched in the direction that the smell was coming from. All annie wanted was a safe place for her sisters, but that appeared to be impossible. They had called so many places home; all she wanted was for one of them to be true. "annie we should really just come back later. This isn't safe for vickie." vickie watched her sisters curiously. She didn't know what was going on, but knew asking was pointless. "no. We stand our ground. We're out in public surrounded by people. It would risk too much exposure. No way they would be that reckless. Discretion is key. They have their own ethics just like us. Bout the only similarity there is." she grit her teeth angrily as she waited to see who this vampire was.

 

-Road to Church-
Mark strode closer to Keel and the others, his brown eyes flicking from one to the other without him actually turning his head. Mark doesn't stop as he walks by Keel and the others, his bootsteps light and even. He tries to listen to a bit of the conversation as he passes, with a horrible attempt at making himself look inconspicuous.

 

Orpahange~~

It had only been an hour or so since Seth had left her, but Rin was feeling very upset. She didn't want to wait so long to see him again, but she didn't feel like she had much choice. Quickly, she went into her room and started looking through her things. The orphanage provided them with dresses for a number of occasions, but she rarely ever wore the fancy attire. Trying on a dark red dress, she looked at herself in the mirror.

"I feel stupid," She groaned to herself. "But, I guess it's the best I can do."

Hospital~~
"Alright, thank you," Johanna said into the reciever, her voice low. She closed her phone, staring at the ceiling. "Please hang on, just for a little while," Johanna muttered to herself, thinking about the sick girl who was barely hanging to life. That was all she cared about at the moment.

Bank~~
Anthony tried not to make any movement that would offend Seth, although he found it rude how he just blew him off for a phone call. "Is there anything you need of me, Seth?"

 

Seth shut his phone and shoved it into his pocket. He snarled at Anthony. "As of the moment no. But that latest investor...decline his account number and don't enter his payments into the accounting books. I'll handle him myself. Oh...and if you do come to the party tonight...do be prepared for a lovely night. I have a few special guests coming tonight." He grinned, all white, shimmering fang and left. Nearly slamming Anthony's door shut. He loathed the shut up prick. His eyes caught on the "smelly" trio sitting quietly on a bench waiting. Pasting on his best non-vampiric smile, he walked over to the girls. "Are you three here for a loan? Or perhaps a deposit. You seem new to Luin." He wanted to curl up in the nearest cellar and hide there for a while until his skin stopped feeling like it was going to melt.

Suzaku lifted an eyebrow and frowned at Mark. "Little boys will never learn... Nina."

Before he'd said a word, Nina had disappeared and was now standing in the direct path of Mark, about two feet from his face. "Only an idiot would investigate a vampire den during the day time. They may not be able to leave the shade...but they don't sleep and that makes them mighty cranky." She hissed at him and Suzaku couldn't help but roll his eyes. "We want them on our side, Nina...not scared of us. She's more vampire than human...which is why she'd one of the best Vampire Hunters in the Society."

 

Annie gripped the edge of the bench hard to contain herself. She spoke through gritted teeth. "that's because we're new. just bought a cabin. Here for a deposit. New town new bank." serena set her hand on her sister's shoulder. She was leaning rather far forward and she wanted to pull her back on the bench. She looked up at the man almost pleading him to leave with her eyes. "we're just looking for a new home. Not trouble. We didn't know your kind had already occupied the area. We mean no harm." annie gave her sister an icy glare. In her mind they didn't plead with vampires, they fought them. her sister had a different theory. She noticed the teller wave them over. "oh how wonderful. Looks like there is finally a banker available. Serena let's go." her words were like daggers as annie stood quickly. She scooped vickie up in one arm and gm rabbed the bag full of money in the other. Sereba gave a quick and muffled apology to the man as they walked off in the direction the teller pointed. Annie had managed to leave a handprint in the bench where she had been squeezing.

Ceril sat in her tree house waiting for sundown. She had gotten better with the whole aun thing, but in order to have enough time to hunt she would have to wait til nightfall. She had filled her diet with mostly rabbit and squirrel, but to survive the party she would need something bigger. Ceril tossed her copy of 'call of the wild' on the floor, having now finished it 587 times. She could pretty much recite it word for word. She always wanted to go to the book store and find something new to read, but with a lack of money abd the book store only bwing open dyring the daylight, it was hard to find time. maybe on a rainy day when the sun isn't so bright. she sighed as she sat on the pretend bed bored.

 

Mark winces at being caugh eavesdropping, "eh, no, I wasn't heading for their den, I'm heading for the woods over there," he said, pointing with his right arm at the stretch of woods a distance away, "and so you're like me?" he asked, glancing down at Nina, "a half-breed?"

Luin Bank~~

Seth straightened, "I see..." He watched them leave and wrinkled his nose after them, "A foul smell but the scent of girl lingers in their skin. It would be benefitial...to have werewolf investors..." Sighing, he shook his head and left the bank. He should pick up Rin before he left for home again.

Road to the Church~

Nina snarled, baring her fangs, "Call me a half-breed again! I dare you!" Suzaku snapped his fingers and Nina reeled herself in, "Now now, Nina... My apologies, she hates being called that. We prefer Dhamphir if you must refer to our half-vampire blood."

 

After annie was finally done setting up all the bank accounts, she got the three of them loaded back up into the prius and on their way to the new home. They drove in silence as she tried to manuever carefully down the beaten and overgrown trail. The prius wasn't meant for offroading, but they always managed to make it work. When they finally made it to the weathered little cavin, vickie was the first one out of the car. Serena had to chase after her and grab her in order to keep the little girl from tripping into a mud puddle. Annie unhitched the trailer by the front door and grabbed the set of keys they were given. The house had a musky smell to it. Serena immediately jumped to cleaning, while annie hauled their possesions inside. Vickie ran around checking all the rooms and exploring the backyard. When everything was done, znnie took a seat ln a wooden chair. "i'm gonna run to town and go grocery shopping. Do you wanna set up the fence while i'm gone?" annie nodded and sat there digging for the barbed wire and signs in the boxes. Vickie ran over to serena excitedly. "can I come with?" serena nodded and patted her younger sister on the head before grabbing the car keys.
