Bloody Nightmare

Annie slowly followed after. It was chalking up to be a horrible night. She wondered what was to come even if her wolf didn't.

Ceril continued to sit for a moment, contemplating yuka's question. "i'm not...i'm not sure. The multiple personality disorder is going to take some time to get used to and it all happened so fast, but I do enjoy his company. He's a pleasant person to be around when he's relaxed. I have a fondness for him and I do believe that in time it can grow to something more." she gave yuka a kiss on the cheek and stood to rejoin valentine. Ceril walked out of the church and sat down beside valentine. "i'm sorry. I hope you didn't miss me too much." she smiled at him.

 

Mayor's House~~

Tears were rolling down Rin's eyes, furious at Lucy. "You know nothing about my situation. All you see are monsters, but that's not true. He...he's never said that he loved me...He doesn't want to love me, to protect me. I know that inside, he feels differently. To me, their not monsters; they're much more human than those who live day by day and allowing their lives to rot."

 

Forest

Nick crouched low as he watched the sheep meander around. Picking one out of the crowd closest to the fence, he launched himself at it, nipping at it's legs to get it to stumble and topple over.

Balmore manor

Valentine had been cleaned and bandaged by Yuka and Cooke later on. He sat up on the couch and searched her face, "I'm terribly sorry for compelling you to feed like that. I know it was wrong..." His entire features softened as he looked at her, "I...I only missed you a little. No big deal."

mayor's house

Lucy released her and scowled down at the girl, "You're younger than I am...how can you possibly think they're even remotely human. They don't walk out into the sunlight, they don't even eat normal food."

Serena flanked nick's right side and went after a sheep nearby. Annie hesitated by the fence. She watched them take down sheep and licked at her chops. Finally she couldn't wait any longer and went after the sheep serena had taken out.

Ceril smiled fondly at valentine and took his hand in hers. "it's okay. I was just a little overwhelmed. Are you hungry? you lost a lot of blood."

 

Forest

Nick lifted a paw and let out a long howl before dragging his sheep back towards the forest. Lights came on in the shepard's cabin and he moved quicker, gnawing on the leg as he dragged his quarry.

Valentine shook his head gently to avoid vertigo. "No, I'm alright. Just a bit dizzy. Seth...wasn't himself. He seems upset over something. You think...it's that Rin he was talking about?"

Annie helped serena quickly drag the other sheep under the fence. The farmer had already exited his home and was coming out to inspect the noise.

Ceril gave valentine's hand a squeeze. Her eyes wandered in the direction of seth's room and she frowned. "it's...a possibility. I've on met her briefly and we didn't speak. It was right after you left today. He seems to care for her a great deal, but she's so young. Younger than me." she laughed lightly and glanced back at him smiling. "younger than I appear, I mean."

The shepard's eyes widened at the sight of Nick, Annie, and Serena's glowing eyes in the dark and pulled out a rifle. Nick barked at Annie and Serena and growled at the shepard, the blood on his muzzle gave him an extra menacing look.

Balmore Manor

Valentine shivered. His wounds had closed and the hunger set in. Refusing to accept that he was hungry, Valentine diverted his eyes to Seth's room. "You think he'll be alright? If he's so attatched to that girl...he won't feed from anyone else. Seth's appetite must have grown since having her in his company. Being able to feed regularly is a luxury."

serena let go of the sheep and turned back for the trees. Annie ripped off a large chunk with her teeth and followed after. After everything that happened, getting taken down by a sheep hearder was not on her to do list.

Ceril raised a finger to her chin and sat quietly. "i think...he'll manage. If she cares about him as much as she claims to, she'll find a way to come back. If rin ran away...then it was probably for the best. I'm sure master balmore is aware of this. He'll have to feed soon. He wouldn't risk his life like that?" she looked at him a little confused. "would he?"

 

Forest

Nick backed slowly, taking the sheep with him and kept his blue eyes on the shepard. After a few feet from the fence, Nick hauled the fuzzy creature into his mouth by it's neck and took off in the direction of Annie and Serena's home.

Balmore manor

Valentine shook his head, "I don't think he would. My brother is foolish for allowing a human to have such control over him but he's not stupid enough to take his own immortal life over a human. They're like butterflies...beautiful and interesting while they're alive...but when you turn around they're gone and dead."

Serena had run home by herself, while annie stayed at the same pace as nick. The gray and gold wolf sat diligently on the stoop, awaiting their arrival. She curled up into a furry ball and shut her eyes. As long as they were home, they were safe as well.

Ceril nodded and snuggled into valentine's side. She still didn't believe it was love, but there was affection. She liked him and for now that would have to be good enough. "exactly. So we just have to let him calm down and then he will start thinking clearly. Hopefully he'll realize how irrational he was being." ceril's reddish-brown eyes flashed up to valentine and then back down to their hands. "to be honest, she wasn't even pretty. Very drab. A plain jane." she chuckled a little, but felt bad at the same time. Seth had seen somethkng in her, that was for certain. It was just a matter of what.

 

Forest

Nick dropped the sheep at the base of the steps to the cabin and sat at his kill's feet, waiting patiently for her to recognize he'd brought her a gift.

Balmore Manor

Valentine chuckled and coughed, "That's true...she certainly is no Lirum. Or, as a matter of fact...you." He listened to Seth's growling from upstairs as Yuka tried to bring him some of the synthisized blood. "He's being a big baby... If I were a betting man...I'd say he was keeping her around for her blood and a warm body to keep in his bed. Vampires could get cold...but it wouldn't bother us."

 

Cabin
Serena perked her head up at the offering. She didn't make any noise or even leave the step. Serena just pushed the meat back at him and annie,with her nose. She had already eaten before the attack and no longer had an appetite. Annie sat next to nick, waiting for him to dig into the meat first since serena didn't want any and it was his kill.

Ceril smiled, appreciating the comment valentine made about her. "are you sure you're not hungry? You look a little pale...er than usual." she was conscerned for him. The amount of blood he had lost would have killed a human, but they weren't.

 

Cabin

Nick bit into the sheep after a moment of considering Serena. Gnawing through the stringy tendons, he let his wolf feast for the one night of the month.

Balmore Manor

Valentine patted her cheek, "I've fed from you often enough this day. After all...I've gone for longer with less."

 

Mayor's House~~

"And being able to do those things is what makes somebody human," Rin retorted. Her hands were balling into this. She no longer felt like being civilized. "There's more to living than having a beating heart."[/COLOR]

 

cabin
Annie bit down on a chunk of leg, tearing at the meat. She ate it until there was just bone and then started gnawing on the bone itself. Serena tucked her face into her shoulder, guarding the door. Her wolf remained on the stoop all curled up and ready for sleep.

Ceril curled up on the couch into valentine's side. "all right. If you change your mind just let me know." she closed her eyes and gave the appearance of sleep. It would have been the perfect moment for rest, if sleep were a possibility.

 

Mayor's House

Lucy frowned and sat on her bed, "I don't understand then."

Cabin

Their meal passed in a flash and Nick curled up, yawning next to the bones.

Balmore manor

Valentine hugged her to him. Being affectionate was different for him, but she wasn't afraid of him and if his heart beat it would've made it beat a million times faster.

 

Cabin
Annie curled up next to nick. Her wolf wanted to be as close to him as possible and she had no desire to argue with it. Nick had been strong and did his best to protect them earlier. If he was willing to risk his life to help her family then he really must care for them all. Annie was prous that someone so wonderful could be interested in her. She rested her chin on top of his neck, like she was gaurding him.

Ceril's red-haired braid fell over her shoulder and her bangs hung loosely in her face. It was comforting to have valentine in her life. Everything had seemed so empty and boring, but now it would all be different. There would most certainly be the struggles of dealing with his madness, but as long as she could get him to listen to her everything would be okay. She rubbed the back of his hand with her thumb and began humming quietly to herself.

 

Cabin

Nick closed his eyes, pleased Annie was beside him. If only her human side didn't protest so much to the idea of laying with him. He could practically hear his Alpha calling him a pervert for being interested in a younger girl. Rats...he was always being scolded for his tastes.

Balmore Manor

Valentine lifted her face up to his, "Ceril..." The door burst open and the red haired Suzaku panted in the doorway. His hair was dripping wet and his clothes were soaked. "Vampire!" Spotting Valentine holding Ceril in a compromising position, he blanched, "Uh...wh-what's going on here?" Youthful embarrassment overruled his Vampire Hunter instincts.

Ceril pulled away from valentine and stood up. She set her hand on his shoulder as a gesture for him to remain seated and slowing walked over to suzaku, not wanting to startle him. "what was going on was my husband about to kiss me. I guess we can share another later. You're awfully wet. We should get you dried off. You don't want to catch a cold." ceril knew why he was there, but she hoped she could get him to leave by being nice.

 

Balmore Manor

His cheeks flushed, "Oh...your...husband. Wait...what? He's...a Vampire!" His hands flew to under his heavy trench coat and Valentine hopped up and twirled Ceril behind him. His normal blue eyes flashing gold and red. "Back off boy!" he snarled and crumbled forwards, landing on Suzaku's shoulder. Shocked, Suzaku let him rest for a while and dropped his knives. "Why is he...what's going on? Vampires don't show weakness. What's wrong with him?"
