Bloody Nightmare

Outside Cabin

Nick hesitated outside the cabin. As the sun set, he felt the tug of the full moon, it made his heart race, his mind spin and his breathing hitch up a notch. Calming down was something he was incapable of doing at the moment.

Forest

Valentine dropped down after her, landing somewhat gracefully on the ground. Being un-used to his new clothes, he felt they restricted his movement. "You really think...it's a good idea? I'm almost positve Seth hates my guts right about now." His courage wavered and doubt made him trembled on the edge of sanity.

Annie lingered in the doorway watching nick struggle. "you gunna be okay?" she reached out for him hesitantly, not wanting to trigger anything.

Ceril reached for his hand. She could feel him starting to panick. "i guess we'll find out. You'll never get the chance to talk to him if you don't try." she squeezed his hand and stepped in the direction of the church.

 

cabin

Nick took a step back and rubbed his eyes, glancing up at her he smiled anxiously, "Yeah I'll be alright. I'm just gonna hang out here for a while." His eyes were pure blue, no white remained in the sea of blue. Some called it puppy eyes, the way a werewolf's eyes become when they feel the tug of the moon. Though he kept smiling, his eyes cast him in an odd light in the approaching darkness.

Valentine shook as he walked beside her, nervously scanning the ground. "Yeah...yeah...now...what was it I was going to talk to him about?"

 

Cabin
Annie could feel a stirring under skin. As the seconds ticked away, she grew closer and closer to changing. She gave another quick glance up at the moon and then back at nick. "all right. I'll see you in a little bit." she walked inside with vickie on her hip in the direction of the little girl's room. Annie tucked vickie into bed, fully aware that she wouldn't be changing. Not now, not ever. There was a light rapping at the doot as serena came slinking in. "how was your walk? You guys were gone a long time." annie turned around smiling. She watched her skin ripple and she bit her lip, hard. "it was...good. We should get outside, before it's too late."

Ceril shrugged with valentine's hand in hers. "i dunno...you just said you needed master balmore to listen to you. That the town needed to change. And that you wanted me there...to help keep the peace..." she glanced up at the pureblood. Ceril wondered if her parents would be proud of her. It only took fourty-nine years to find someone to spend the rest of her life with and she had no intention of baring children. It would be cruel to everyone involved.

 

cabin

Nick shucked off his clothes and closed his eyes. When he opened them, he was already flying through the woods. Paws beating at the grass and tearing into the dirt as his claws fought for traction. He heard a distinct whistle and stopped dead in his tracks. Flicking his ears about for the sound again, he lowered his belly to the ground and crept away from the area. When he was a good mile from it, he lifted one foot and paused, the urge to call out to his brothers and sisters...to sing that lonely song to the moon overwhelmed him and a howl broke loose from his throat.

Valentine kept silent. He didn't remember what they'd talked about. All he remembered was Ceril lying on her back and her slender hands tangled in his hair. A wash of warmth flooded over his skin and he walked a bit faster. Excitement over the fact that the world was looking up, he wanted to see what Seth would say.

 

Cabin
Serena stepped outside wearing only a robe. She wanted to stay clothed, but not have her clothes destroyed. She noticed the pile of fabric on the ground and figured nick had already changed. It was cobfirmed at the sound of a distant howl. Serena dropped the robe to the ground and wrapped it around her ankle. She prayed it wouldn't fall off and then shifted into a smaller gold and gray wolf. The coat was predominantly gray, but with flecks of gold scattered throughout the fur. There was a slightly taller all-black wolf staring at her with brown eyes. Before she could even move, the black one took off in the direction of the howling.

Ceril stopped briefly. Her nose twitched and her eyes darted in every direction. "they've changed. We need to get out of the forest quickly. And safely..." she let go of valentine's hand and started running through the forest. The trees blurred beside her at the speed she was going.

Nick dropped his head to the ground, sniffing in search of Annie's wolf.

Valentine followed after her, "They? Who..."

 

Forest
A black wolf came running through the forest. Thete was a light thumping sound as feet hit dirt. Annie's wolf rounded a corner, almost taking out the blue-eyed wolf standing there.

Ceril shifted her head back and forth nervously. She had never encountered werewolves before and didn't want to start now. "the werewolves. A couple of them just moved out here the other day. I think they live nearby. You don't smell that?" her face was riddled with disgust as she glanced at valentine.

 

Forest

Nick threw his weight against Annie and pinned her to the ground. Wagging a brown tail, he barked and rubbed his muzzle against her fur.

Valentine had opened his mouth to breathe as a response to running and an instinct to not be able to smell the humans. "Werewolves....oh, them. The pups that attacked me when I was trying to get a meal. So they live here... They aren't so much a threat. It's a full moon, more than likely they'll just be running around looking for some deer to maul."

Annie blinked and stared up at nick, who had pinned her. She nipped at him; not wanting to be held down. Annie struggled to get free under his weight and let out a small growl.

Ceril stopped dead in her tracks. The dirt around her was dug up from stopping so quickly. "you met them? And didn't say anything? Aren't they supposed to be dangerous?" she stared down at the dirt on her shoes and frowned.

Nick let her up and licked her nose. Blue eyes brighter, he hopped in place like an excited puppy.

Valentine shrugged, "They're just mutts. It's not like they could've done serious damage. Plus it was only one. A male...he was defending the girl I was trying to feed from. She didn't seem fazed that a wolf had saved her."

 

Forest
Annie smiled on the inside. Her muzzle contorted into a menacing grin, showing her teeth. She strolled over to nick and rubbed her cheek against his neck. She couldn't remember a time when her wolf didn't spend the entire night on a rampage. This was the most friendly she had ever been. Even her sister was usually in danger if she came too close.

"maybe she was unfazed because she was one of them." ceril marched through the rest of the forest, coming up alongside the road. She didn't look back to see where valentine was, but knew he couldn't be far behind.

 

Forest

Nick tugged on her ear lightly with his teeth. His wolf was finally happy to be able to meet Annie's wolf and he couldn't find any other reason other than that it would scare Annie if he attempted anything tonight.

Valentine followed again, puzzling over the wolves. "That would make sense...he was awfully protective. Perhaps that girl was his mate. Hmm...werewolves confuse me. It's like they don't know what form to take. Wolf or human."

 

Forest
Annie curled up on the ground next to nick's feet. her brown eyes stared up at him. While she wondered what he could be thinking, her wolf let out a small bark. She didn't have much control over body when the wolf was out. It was usually the cause of the rampages that occured. They fought for ownership. Tonight was different. They were completely in sync.

"either form sounds better than being a vampire." she shoved her hands in her jean pockets and slowed to a walk. The church was visible, but distant. Ceril waited for valentine to catch up.

 

Forest

Nick licked her face furiously and nuzzling the side of her head. He touched his nose to hers and paced around her. Prodding her with his nose, Nick barked his approval and started rubbing his fur against hers again to cover her in his scent. Though he shook his head internally at how foolish his wolf was, it never listened and insisted she belonged to them.

Valentine caught up after a moment and frowned at her words, "You don't really think it's all that bad...do you? Surely being cursed to live as a beast is worse than our fate. Ceril... If you hadn't been changed when you did...I'd probably have killed that girl...and then Seth would've killed me. Even if you're not...I'm grateful you were changed."

Annie's wolf perked its ears and lifted its head. She bit at his leg and let out a bark. Annie groaned and crossed her arms. She really wabted to talk to nick, but her wolf insisted on playing. She rubbed her temples and watched her wolf nuzzle nick's neck.

Ceril stopped walking and a small smile showed on her face. "thank you." she pulled her hands out of her pocket and gave him a kiss. Ceril took his ha and and nodded in the direction of the church. "let's go see your brother."

 

Forest

Nick's wolf scampered off further into the woods and let out a howl again. He wanted to run with Annie. His paws worried the ground as he lifted them individually in anticipation.

Church of Luin

Valentine swallowed nervously at the door and squeezed his eyes shut. Before his hand could reach the door knob it burst open and Seth's bright brown eyes bore into Valentinte's blue. "Rin! ....You're not Rin. Valentine..." he snarled but his eyes misted over and he started to shake. Valentine grabbed for his brother's shoulder to steady him and for once he didn't shove him away. "Seth are you alright? Wh-why are you wearing colored contacts?" Seth blinked rapidly. He hadn't realized one had slipped, showing the dark crimson of hunger eating away at him. "Rin....hasn't come home with Lucy...from school yet. Elizabeth came over earlier...she...she asked Yuka to make her some tea and when she left, Liz attacked me. She took more blood than I allow. I'm so...so hungry...." He slid to his knees on the floor and Valentine followed him, keeping a firm hand on his shoulder. "Seth....you have Mirabelle, Yuka and Cooke...why didn't you feed from one of them?" Yuka poked her brown head around the corner of the Church and wiped at the tears on her cheeks, "He wouldn't let us near him. He said he'd promised Rin he'd only feed from her."

Mayor's House

Lucy had taken Rin around the school, made sure she got to her classes and afterwards, hit her over the head with a heavy branch from a fallen tree and carried her to the Mayor's house in which Lucy had been living. She promised the little girl she'd take care of her and keep the vampires away from her so she wouldn't be brainwashed again.

 

Forest
Annie took off running after nick and let out a howl. She wouldn't let him tackle her this time. She would win. Her wolf nipped at his hindleg as she ran passed him. She let out another bark and grinned.

Ceril stood next to valentine and watched seth breakdown. Her gaze moved to yuka who had obviously been crying. Out of everyone in the house, yuka's approval was the one ceril was most nervous of. Valentine was the one that changed her and yuka was the only person she ever considered a friend. "she's just a human. You can easily get another one." as soon as the words escaped her lips, ceril knew she would regret it.

Nick bolted after her, matchind her stride. As a wolf he was faster, a four legs were better than two. His tongue lolled out the side of his mouth as he ran.

Church

Seth's golden eyes flashed and Valentine moved in front of Ceril. The tearing of cloth filled the silence and Yuka covered her mouth out of shock. "You can NEVER replace a human! Rin is as special to me as....as Lirum was." Valentine shuddered and took shallow breaths. His blood pooled at his feet from the gashes in his chest now from Seth's angry power. "Don't...be mad at Ceril. I came here to talk about change....maybe without her you'll listen. Release your hold on the town of Luin and let the humans move it forwards through the ages of technology and you can live out here in peace with Rin and Yuka and the others."

 

Mayor's House~~

Rin began to stir herself awake, a throbbing pain in her head. For a while, everything was back, and she was tempted to fall back asleep. However, her eyelids fluttered, revealing dim lighting. She wasn't at the school anymore and she wasn't at the manor either. "Where am I? Seth! Seth! Someone, anybody, please, is anyone there?"
