Anthony snickered at her statement. "I bet many of the nights you were locked away, you were cursing his name. I have a good talent for knowing when people are lying, my lady."

She bent her finger at him, beckoning him forwards, closer to her. "Don't ever call me a liar again, Anthony."

 

Bank Chamber

Anthony grinned at her, clutching her hand as he reached her. "Then don't lie to me, Yuel. You have to give me some credit."

 

Bank Chambers

She wanted to scream at him, anger flashed in her blue eyes and her power scored four identical lines along the wall near the bed. "You still insist on calling me a liar."

Anthony flinched, more for Yuel's benefit.. "A liar is someone who always lies. The majority of the time, you have been telling me the truth."

Again, her power scarred the floor, and Yeul replayed what he'd said before. "You have not earned the right to call me Yeul. You will refer to me with respect."

Anthony smiled as he held onto Yuel's arm. "Whatever you say, my lady. I like them with a bit of bite, anyway."

Yeul glowered at him silently. She refused to see any good in that smile or the man that held her now. She missed her sons with an ache in her heart.

annie smiled and pinched vickie's cheeks. "it would be rather inappropriate. Leas competition then I guess. Luckly me." she blushed without looking at nick. she was being too open about her feelings. It was only going to hurt her.

Ceril sat up, watching valentine. "i probably wouldn't have minded if it was my choice. I still don't mind really. I had no intentions of ever being with anyone. You've kinda changed that though. If you actually want to stay with me." it felt strange talking about a relationship in this manner. They weren't supposed to be forced, but now it was.

Anthony tried to look at Yeul in the eye, feeling a melancholic vibe coming off of her. He did something very human and attempted to hug her. It was something that he wasn't accustomed to doing. "So, how exactly did you escape?"

Nick stopped walking and stared at Annie. "Lucky you..." His pulse pounded in his throat and he longed to trade Vickie and Annie around in this position.

Valentine laughed lightly, trying to suppress the urge to flee. "I think that's my line."

Yeul shoved him away, "A werewolf helped me take a temporary leave."

Anthony wasn't surprised by Yeul's actions. He anticipated it. "That's rather clever of you. You must have a way with...their kind."

Annie turned around to see that nick had stopped. "what's...what's wrong?" she grew nervous and walked back over to them. Annie pulled vickie off of nick and set her on the ground. The little girl stamped her foot and pretended to pout between them. Annie ruffled her little sister's hair.

"you're not the one with nowhere to go." her gaze moved to the large crack in the wall and she looked sad. Now she really had nowhere to go. Her little home was destroyed and it didn't seem like valentine wanted her even though he sponteniously marked her.

Nick shuffled nervously, "Alright, I'm only going to say this once. Annie...I know I haven't known you very long at all...or even a whole lot about you, but I intend to learn a lot more about you. I, um...I l-like you. And I think...we should start going out....or something." Though his cheeks colored pink slightly, he held her gaze boldy.

Valentine grabbed her shoulders, "You...I'm sorry I marked you without your permission...b-but...this saves me the trouble. You...you have a certain ability to calm me. I...I've never met a woman like you. I want...to stay with you."

Her heart was pounding and it took couple minutes for words to solidly form in her throat. She looked at nick, who had yet to take his eyes off her, blushing. "i uh...i like you too. And I would like going out." she smiled, feeling lkke a teenager again. Nobody talked like that anymore. "or something..." she smiled and was startled by vickie's cheers. "yay! are you going to stay with us? That would be great."

Ceril smiled at valentine and patted the space on the bed next to ber. "all right. But there isn't rezlly room for two people here."

Nick grinned and swept Vickie off her feet and twirled her in the air, "It wouldn't be appropriate to stay in your house. I'll get a place of my own when the pack gets here. Plus...I think we should start with a date before we start moving in together."

Valentine breathed in relief, "I don't take up much room..."

Vickie pouted in nick's arms. "can I come with then?" "sweetie it wouldn't be a date if you came with." annie watched her sister pout and she rolled her eyes. "is there somewhere specific you wanted to go to? I only know how to get to a handful of places. We just moved here two days ago." she patted vickie's head and pulled her sunglasses back down.

Ceril smiled at him and ran her fingers down his cheek. "well then that's perfect. So now what?" she held his gaze, feeling lost in valentine's eyes.

Nick set down the little girl and tugged her forwards, "Well let's see what's in town. Hopefully there's something fun to do there." Nick kept smiling as he playfully tugged Vickie forwards.

Valentine swallowed and tugged at his collar, "Um...well...usually when a couple does...err, this... It's kind of like a marriage, without the rings... My...my gift to you...would be my blood. That is, if you want it."

Vickie giggled and squealed as nick drug her along. Annie stood behind them smiling. She had never seen her baby sister take a liking to anyone as much as nick. Apparently it seemed to be a common theme. Thinking about potentially going out with him made her heart race. No one had ever made her nervous like this before and she was terrified it might not work out. She walked behind them slowly, watching how they interacted together.

Ceril felt just as nervous as valentine looked. "you...you don't have to feel obligated to give me your blood. I don't really have anything to offer you." she had never dined on pureblood blood before and the thought made her afraid she might not be able to go back to animal blood. She had done so well at avoiding human blood and she didn't know what to offer him in exchange. The home was cramped and destroyed, her blood was already something he tried, and she had no personal belongings that contained sentimental value. The best ceril could come up with was giving him the whole of her body.

Nick hefted Vickie over his shoulder, "C'mon squirm worm. Lets see what we can do to keep you entertained. Ah, here we go, a club. In the daytime it should be perfectly sutible for a young girl like you. Everyone's either unconscious or gone home. If I'm correct...we'll teach you how to play pool." he winked at her and motioned Annie to follow as he headed to the club named The Broken Antler.

Valentine tilted her head, stroking her cheek, "You needn't give me anything. All I ask...is that you take my blood...and accept my oath to be my bride."
