Yeul flopped on the bed and scowled at his manhandling behavior, "You strike me as the type of man who weasels his way into getting the simple things in life to enjoy."

Anthony let off an innocent smile. Every single beat, he believed to be orchestrated perfectly. After all, he had a beautiful vampire mistress in his private chambers. What more was he willing to ask for. "As long as they make a life such as this pleasurable, does it matter by what means one would obtain them?"

Yeul tucked her long legs under her and sat regally in the center of his bed. "It would if one desired to not have a notorious reputation among those that matter." Choosing to delay what he had wished for, Yeul flicked her bright blue eyes up to him, "And your last wish? I don't suppose that would involve something along the lines of creating a place in which you rule."

Anthony let out a laugh, mainly to counter Yuel. He understood the game she played. "That wish will appear when when the time is right. As I told you before, I love the simple life."

Yeul exhaled slowly and leaned back against the pillows. "For one that enjoys the simple life...you live quite luxuriously. I suspect my son behind your wealth."

Anthony nodded. "He certainly did do a lot of help in getting me this job. I'm allowed to hardly do any work, and yet I'm able to live a life such as this. To me, that's simple."

Yeul huffed, "Then you hardly know the meaning of the word simple. Your wish...why do you desire such a thing?"

Vickie giggled when nick picked her up and let go of annie's hand. She hadn't received so much attention in a long time. Annie lifted her sunglasses back onto the top of her head and eyed nick. He was great with her baby sister. "you two look perfect together. I'm jealous. I don't have anyone to look perfect together with. Stealing all the good men vickie." she poked her sister's stomach and made her giggle some more. "victoria's gunna be a heart breaker. I can see it already."

Anthony leaned in closer, closely examining you. "It is a number of desires that course through my body. For one thing, you are immensely beautiful, without comparison. Also, you are a woman who holds great power and carries herself in a great fashion. I am very attracted to that."

Nick laughed, "No way. Not Vickie. She's too sweet. Surely you wouldn't break any hearts, would you?" He swallowed nervously and cleared his throat, "Well I'm staying...and Vickie is much too young to maintain a stable relationship and I believe it's highly inappropriate."

Yeul toed off her stilletos to the floor and glowered at him, "So if I were to be ugly, weak and dressing in jeans and sweaters...you wouldn't ask this of me."

Anthony started unlatching his belt, his smile widening. "Would you be in this situation if that were the case? Just one small change can alter a person's history. But, if you must know, I have a keen sense to find something about each woman I come across attractive."

Yeul watched him carefully. "Perhaps...but my husband did not choose me because I am beautiful, powerful or fashionable. He chose me because I am a Pureblood. And as Pureblood law dictates...most brother and sister will become couples and continue the pure line of their blood."

Anthony moved in closer to Yuel. He made sure to keep his eyes well focused onto hers. "Well, sometimes you must break the laws in order to get some fun in life. I may enjoy my simple life, but what is living if you do not take risks every now and again?"

Yeul snarled at him, "We are not living. We are the undead. Our hearts do not beat and blood does not flow through our veins that is ours."

Anthony glared at the girl. "Ah, but we still are able to be animate instead of a corpse, lying in the ground, and becoming the life source of lesser creatures."

Yeul sat up, "Is that what you make us out to be...animate things that should grovel at the feet of other animate things for survival?"

 

Anthony was on the verge of growling at her, which, he admitted to himself, was probably a foolish move. "Twisting my words, aren't we? Simply because we are not medically alive doesn't mean we cannot live. That is where one truly learns what living is all about. And it is obvious by your words that you have not been allowed to live for a very long time."

Yeul laughed, "Allowed to live?! I've been shut inside my room since I gave birth to my babies!"

"Forced imprisonment, I can assume," Anthony said cunningly. "Probably locked away by your 'loving' master. One must wonder how different a life would be if there was only a slight shift in reality."
