Bloody Nightmare

Balmore manor

Seth stood up straight, his scarlet eyes fixed on the man standing in the doorway. He reeked of werewolf and if a werewolf had wandered into his home right after a hunter had...it meant bad things were going to happen soon. "Get out." he commanded calmly. "No...why should I? Have I interrupted something?" the wolf responded, swallowing past his nervousness that was wafting off him. "I said..." he bared his fangs, "Get out, you filthy mutt." The man's blue eyes turned solid blue without a hint of whites and he snarled. The sound rumbling up from his chest. "Why dont'ya make me, stupid bloodsucker." After a minute of growing at each other, Seth lightened and chuckled, the wolf following his example. "What's so funny?" Seth smiled, stroking Rin's neck, "I remember you from my younger years. You were a friend of my Mother's."

Valentine shook his head, easing himself down to the ground. "I'm starved..."

 

Balmore Manor~~

Rin was worried. She began to think that it was too much to ask to go five minutes without experiencing something completely insane. Of course, she was living with a vampire, so any kind of normalcy could almost be completely thrown out of the window. Still, she was wishing for at least five minutes where no one would barge in the middle of things. "Seth, do I go back upstairs," Rin asked, thinking of some place to hide.

 

Balmore Manor

Seth glanced down at her, appalled by the idea. "No, you're going to school with Lucy. I'll come pick you up when the day is done." Bending to whisper in her ear, "I'm still hungry. Be sure to eat lunch so you have enough blood for me when you come home."

already? He just ate. ceril let out a sigh and rolled her eyes. She looked over at valentine sitting on the floor and forced a smile back on her face. "would you like more?" she didn't really want to give him more blood so soon after his last feeding, but if it kept him docile she was willing to do anything.

Annie walked into a sporting goods store, in town, and asked a clerk if she could speak to a manager. She usually worked and serena stayed home taking care of vickie. In order to afford to move again, they would probably both need a job this time.

 

Balmore Manor~~

"Fine, whatever," Rin groaned, wrapping her arm around Lucy's. A part of her knew that it was a bad idea to be hanging onto her; in fact, she didn't fully trust Lucy to begin with. Maybe it was the fact that she was annoyed with Seth that she decided to continue on without thinking. She then sarcastically said "Let's hurry up and get to school."

 

Balmore Manor

Seth watched Lucy and Rin leave the Church before turning his attention to the wolf before him. "Your name is Nick, right? I suppose you wanted to discuss something?"

Nick took a deep breath, despite the sweet smell of vampire burning his nose. "Your mother told me to check up on you. She said...watch over my little boy. I didn't think... Anyways...I need to invest some money in something." He knew he had Seth's attention as the Vampire moved and picked up a leather bound book, "And that would be?" "A friend...her name is Annie. She has two sisters. In fact...a few of my pack mates back home were wondering if Luin could become a small area that a pack could live in if they didn't cause trouble. I'm here to deal. Land...for whatever you want." Seth's easy smile spread over his face and Nick had to swallow hard to keep the growl from emerging from his throat.

 

Road to Church~~

Rin kept onto Lucy's arm until she was sure that the church was out of sight. She felt a bit stupid for doing this; mainly because she didn't know which way it was to the school. The orphanage was very religious and very strict, so she was home school during her stay there. She had heard stories from others about what it was like at the schools; how terrible all the kids were to each other and how they would home in on their biggest insecurities to attack you with.

"Um, which was is it to the school," Rin asked Lucy, doing her best not to come off intimidated.

Annie was waiting patiently for the manager when her phone rang. She pulled out her phone and checked the caller i.d. It was serena. She was probably seeing if everything was okay. "hey. No it's cool. I'm in town looking for a job. If we want to leave this place you'll probably need one too this time. What?! Are you serious?" she walked over to a corner of the room for more privacy. "are you sure you don't want to leave? Because we can go somewhere safer. I'm sure we can find some place safer. All right, we'll talk later." she hung up the phone just in time to see the manager walk over. "good morning." she smiled at the man cheerily.

Valentine involuntarily leaned closer to her, his normal blue eyes darkening until they hit an odd color of violet, "Yes..."

Road to Church

Lucy led the way down the long road away from the Church towards Luin's main town central...area... All the while keeping silent and brooding over her situation. The sunlight didn't hurt her eyes just yet as she'd read about Vampires in Seth's book.

Ceril sighed and slid out of the rocking chair, onto the floor, next to valentine. She brushed her red hair off of her shoulder. The long braid hung loosely behind her back. Ceril closed her eyes and leaned against valentine's side.

Annie smiled pleasantly at the man named brandon. He was impressed by her extensive knowledge on camping equipment and and sports equipment. She tokd him about all of her athletics in school and the amount out time she had spent camping in the woods. He didn't even ask for her to fill out an application because he had never seen someone with so much knowledge on everything in the store. "thank you very much. You're too kind. So i'll be back tomorrow then? Wonderful." annie walked out of the store and her smile quickly faded. She pulled out her phone and dialed her twin. "hey. Is nick back? Really? It's been awhile. Okay. Well i'm gunna go check on him. I'll be back soon. she took off in the direction of the church.

 

Road to Chruch~~

Rin felt even more uncomfortable with the silence than she thought she would. She couldn't feel anything coming from Lucy; any sign of what she could be thinking. She couldn't even believe herself, actually being a good girl and going to school. "How...is it there," Rin asked, trying to break the silence.

Valentine leaned across her and licked his tongue across her neck, tasting her before he sank his fangs into her skin. Pushing her onto the ground, Valentine let her feel all she wanted of the same feeling he gave her last time. Undeniable pleasure.

Balmore Manor - Unknown room

Seth sat in a stiff leather chair across from Nicholas. "Maybe the journey has has boiled your tiny brain a bit too much. Estabilishing a pack in Luin would destroy what peace I've established." Nick growled, frustrated. "Growling isn't going to help you. I'll be willing to make a deal..."

Road to Luin

Lucy glanced over at her, "What? Hey, if you got something to say...I'm still human so just say it."

ceril laid on the floor while valentine fed from her. as much as she didn't like the after affects, she enjoyed the being fed from part. there was a sense of closeness and valentine made sure that she was feeling pleasure, not pain. she ran her thin fingers through his hair as he drank from her.

annie passed a couple of girls walking as she headed in the direction of the church. her nose twitched and she glanced at them skeptically. they stunk like vampire, but both appeared to be human. familiars. figures. she rolled her eyes and continued on to the church.

Valentine stroked his thumb across the underside of her breast. The only sound hitting his ears were the sounds of him gulping down her blood with unusually loud glunking sounds.

Balmore Manor - Unknown room

Seth leaned back, satisfied with their deal. "Alright... I'll bite. If you can convince a few and I mean a few, members of your pack to come and we'll see if it will work out. Just keep in mind, adding a lot of people to Luin will stir up trouble."

 

Road to Luin

Rin was confused. "I was just asking how it was at the school," Rin said, her tone now bitter.

annie walked up to the doors of the rundown church and hesitated for a minute. she could still catch the smell of nick lingering in the air and with a sharp breath, she stepped inside. annie sat down in one of the dusty pews at the back of the sanctuary. she figured she'd give him a couple more minutes; but if there were any strange sounds, she would run after him at once. being in a vampire den was not the most appealing thing to her.

Ceril began to feel lightheaded again and was thankful they were lying on the floor. She let go of valentine's hair and reached for her own forehead. She gave him a gently nudge and whispered in his ear. "valentine...i need you to stop."

 

Balmore Manor

Seth led Nick out into the Foyer and patted his shoulder even as the stench coming off of him made Seth's nostril's burn. "Thanks...err...Mr. Balmore, sir...I guess. Listen..I know the guys will be glad to hear what you've told me."

Luin

"School is school...it's fine." she responded confused. How on earth did this girl not know what school was like?

Releasing Ceril, Valentine sat up, holding his breath even though he didn't need to breathe. "I...I...I'm sorry...I'm really sorry!"

Ceril sat up rather shakily. She grabbed valentine's arm to both steady herself and calm him. "relax. I'm fine. It's not like you drained me." ceril shushed him and closed her eyes, humming you are my sunshine. she leaned her head back against the side of the bed.

Annie smelled the stentch of vampire grow stronger. one of them was now a lot closer.

Seth pulled open the door to the church, smiling and stopped when he saw Annie. Nick grinned, "Hey Annie! Seems like Seth wasn't such a prick after all. You got a phone on you? Seth's won't make long distance calls."

Valentine panicked, "N-not that...I...I...I didn't mean to touch you like that... I was...I don't know..."

 

"Ah, okay." Rin didn't quite know what to say to Lucy. It was just like she was back at the orphanage, being around people she knew that they didnt' care about her. "Why did you go see Seth?"
