Bloody Nightmare

Balmore Manor Foyer~~

Rin wasn't smiling. The pat on her rear carried a very different feeling than it had a few minutes ago. For all of this, she blamed Lucy. She was the one who destroyed her special night as well as take all of Seth's time. As she got on top of the stairs, she leaned over the balcony. "I LOVE YOU," Rin obnoxiously yelled over the balcony, making sure that the entire building heard her screaming.

Ceril moved over, making room on the bed for valentine to lie down. "which is why humans don't know I live out here. Only the other vampires, which then mock me at the parties. Not like I care. The only time I ever see them is at those frivolous parties. The only humans that ever travel out to this part of the woods are hunters, and they are never observant enough to notice my home high above their heads." she wished she could sleep. It was a great way to pass the time away, especially since you have all the time in the world when you're immortal. Often times she could close her eyes and shut out the world for a few hours, but lying there lifelessly and sleeping were two different things.

Serena had already been up reading a book in the living room when she heard nick come stumbling through the halls. She had thought about making breakfast, but with no one to eat for a few more hours she had scratched that idea. She set the book down and walked around until she found him. "good morning. Can I get you some breakfast?" she greeted him cheerfully.

 

Treehouse

Valentine sat beside her, feeling uncomfortable. "If that is your reasons I will respect that."

Cabin

Nick stopped, rubbing his eyes, "Hey...there's something a sleepy wolf needs to see. Something pretty in the morning. Yeah, I could go for some breakfast."

 

Payphone

"Alright, then what is the Lycan Hunter Society?" Allen asked. "Their a group of Lycan Hunters." Keel replied. He couldn't really give him a detailed answer since he didn't even know about them until now

"it is." Ceril sat up and slid off the bed, walking to the other side of the room. She drew a curtain, seperating herself from valentine so that she could change. She slipped into a snug pair of boot cut jeans and a lacey cream blouse that hung loosely over her shoulders. Her petite frame made the shoulders slide down occasionally as she attempted to brush through her matted red hair. When she had finally finished combing through it, she pulled it into a low-hanging side pony just above the nape of the right side of her neck. Ceril pulled the curtain back and walked across the cold wooden floor barefoot. She sat down in a rocking chair stuffed snuggly between the bed and the wardrobe. It really was a cramped space, even for one person. "my apologies if I offend you. It's just...it's just how I feel." the rocking chair creaked loudly as she rocked back and forth in it.

"well thank you. It's awfully sweet. Don't let annie hear you talk like that." serena waved her finger at nick with a large grin on her face. She turned to head over to the kitchen. "i'll get breakfast started right away. It should be ready in about a half hour." serena walked cheerfully into the kitchen. It was rare for someone to be up as early as her, so it felt nice to not just sit around for a couple hours.

 

Treehouse

Valentine watched her carefully with blue eyes of a hawk. "It would take a millenium to come to this conclusion...but, is it possible you're hiding from someone."


cabin

Nick ruffled his hair, once again he was told something about Annie and he didn't know why she would apply to him. Why should she care what he said to her sister. Meandering into the shower, Nick still contemplated Serena's words.

Balmore Manor - Study

Seth chuckled briefly at Rin's words. He'd have to remind her Vampire hearing was better than humans. Everyone in the house had already heard their conversation from the start. Bringing Lucy into his dark study, he sat at his desk and glowered at her. "I'm going to have to run some bloodwork and extensive tests. You'll have to stay down here for the time being."

Ceril stopped rocking and planted her feet firmly on the wood. She sat there silently for a while, contemplating valentine's words. "it's actually quite the contrary. I've recently decided to go searching for someone...but i'm not sure where to begin. It's why I was still at master balmore's when you arrived. But I didn't get the chance to speak with him. Not like it matters...i'm not really sure if I want to go. I'm content right here." ceril stared at the leaf on a treebranch running through the top of the treehouse. She looked at the leaf quite often during the day. It always managed to stay green even though it never received any sunlight. It reminded her of herself, surviving in the dark alone.

Serena began scrambling eggs while the pancakes fried in the skillet. She turned on a third burner as the bacon finished yhawing out. Cooking always made her happy and breakfast was her favorite to make. in a matter of minutes she had plates full of pancakes, eggs, bacon, and fruit arranged ornately and placed on dining table. Serena set glasses out for juice and as soon as the table was set, she could hear vickie rushing down the hallway. "i smelled bacon and woke up right away." vickie stopped in front of her older sister and reached for a slice of bacon off of the table. Serena swatted her hand away. "manners."

 

Cabin

Loud, thudding footsteps echoed down the hallway as Nick hurried into the kitchen, pulling his shirt over his head, his hair still dripping with water. "I smell bacon!" He reached for a piece, exactly like Vickie had.

Treehouse

Valentine nodded, "You mean...you're looking for your Pureblood that Turned you."

Study - Balmore Manor

Seth left Lucy in his study as she slept on the fold out couch. He supposed he'd taken a bit too much of her blood and made her dizzy. Letting her rest was best. Returning to his room he hoped Vickie was sleeping already.

Serena smacked nick's hand away angrily. "manners! We may be part animal, but it doesn't mean welive like it. Nicholas sit. Vickie go wash your hands." she walked back to the refrigerator, pulling out the milk and orange juice.

Ceril closed her eyes as she began rocking again. "yes. And no. I want to find him, to ask why he would change me if he was just going to leave me there, but I don't really want to know. I'm happy right here. And I can't promise I wouldn't attack him. I almost died because of him once, I wouldn't want to die because of him twice." she rocked in silence, listening to the occassional squeak of the chair.

 

Cabin

Nick whimpered and sat down closest to the bacon, sniffing eagerly. "It's really different being in a house instead of out in the woods. Manners...you sound like my mother."

Treehouse

Valentine fell silent, his body relaxing as he fell into a light sleep, uncommon to Purebloods.

Anthony's Office

Yeul flicked her hair over her shoulder and stared at the man, a sly smile gracing her delicate features.

Balmore Manor - Seth's room

Seth sat beside his little human and stroked her hair, listening to her soft breathing.

Payphone

Nina sniffed, "Lycan Hunters despise us. They think we're not fit to hunt something that we're half of. The Lycan Hunter Society is made up of humans, they have a strict security policy to make sure all their members are human too. They hunt and kill werewolves without mercy. They're moody freaks and I hate them."

 

Anthony's Office~~

Anthony smiled, happy that for once that he was in a seat of power. He sat down in his chair, acting as if this was just another business transaction for the bank. "So, what's in it for me," he asked with a ironic hiss.

Seth's Room~~

Rin was stirring in her sleep. She was back in the woods, in the middle of the night, but she was completely alone. It was like being in the orphanage all over again. In her dream, she was calling out for Seth, hoping that she would rescue him again. This caused her to speak in her sleep, something she wasn't able to control. "Seth," she quietly groaned in the bed. "Don't...don't go...without me..."

Serena raised an eyebrow as she sat down at the table. "well maybe if you listened to her I wouldn't be scolding you on table manners. Someone needs to be an adult." serena poured herself a glass of milk as vickie came rushing back from the bathroom with still damp hands. She climbed into the chair and looked at serena eagerly. "all clean. Can I have bacon now?"

Ceril opened her eyes, watching valentine dose off. A slight smile appeared on her face. She envied the pureblood. If sleep was something she was allowed to do, then she'd do it all the time. She sat there, rocking wordlessly, waiting for the hours to tick by.

 

Cabin

Nick grinned crookedly at Serena as Vickie came back. "Yeah yeah...bacon time now, right?" Without waiting, he snatched a piece off the plate and shoved it in his mouth. Making a noise of approval, he sniffed the air, "What, Annie doesn't get up this early? Should I go get her up?"

Balmore Manor - Seth's room

Seth sat beside Rin on the bed and trailed his cold fingers along her cheek. He hadn't realized he'd let himself get so cold. Rin would always be warm as long as she was human. Her wanting that warmth taken from her, made him ache inside. If he'd had a choice, he would never have chosen to be born like this. His mother was lucky she hadn't died....giving life to two sons had to have been taxing.

Anthony's Office

Yeul exhaled in a controlled manner, her calm green eyes watching him. "It's a matter of what you want. I can grant you three things you desire, and nothing more. Much like those stupid human's creation...the one that lives in a lamp..."

 

Balmore Manor Seth's Room~~

Rin had awakened from her nightmare. Her eyes not yet adjusted to the darkness, she clung onto the pillow that was right next to her. In her hafl dazed mind, she thought of it to be Seth. She then looked up and noticed his outline, doing her best not to cry. It was all a stupid nightmare, but it felt so real to her. "Everything okay with your friend," Rin asked in a whisper.

Anthony's office~~

Anthony's smile appeared similar to a serpent slowly closing in on its paralyzed prey. "I guess that would do rather nicely. Do we have a deal then?" He let out his right hand in order to shake hers.

Serena's eyes widened as she reached out for nick's shoulder. "absolutely do not go wake her up. I can't garuntee your safety if you do. Annie does not get up before noon for anyone or anything. Trying to wake her will only put your life in danger." "oh can it serena i'm already up." annie appeared standing silently behind nick. Her hair was a wild and tangled mess. The bags under her eyes showed what little sleep she got. Her left eye appeared to be bloodshot. She tried to smooth out her hair with her fingers, but it didn't work. She pulled her hair back in a pony, to be brushed after breakfast. Annie sat down grouchily between serena and vickie, avoiding eye contact with nick. Serena let go of nick's shoulder and put some strawberries and oranges on her plate, along with a couple of pancakes.

Nick watched Annie sit and grinned, "Alright, she's up. We should go for a run after breakfast. It'll be fun. I'm pretty sure Serena could use the activity. Can you even catch me?" He stopped talking, "Oh that's right...I keep forgetting you're not like my pack back home... It's hard to get used to. Two werewolves that can't change at will." Sitting down, Nick filled his plate with pancakes and bacon.

Balmore manor - Seth's room

Seth crooned to Rin, trying to get her to go back to sleep. "Yeah, she's sleeping. I'm running a few tests to determine her parents since she said she didn't know. You have about an hour until you have to get up for school."

Anthony's Office

Yeul gripped his hand, electrical currents ran down her arm and into Anthony's blood. "When the moon is new I'll return home, you have until then to ask your requests of me. If my husband comes here, our deal is null and void." She remembered the exasperation and anger in his voice and on his face when she spoke of finding her sons to let them know what became of her. He hadn't liked it one bit and she wanted to know why. They'd be worried, not having heard from her so long after the Purge and to have her own Husband telling her to stay clear of the boys was disturbing.

 

Balmore Manor Seth's Room~~

Rin gave him a glare through the darkness. "You're still going on about that school crap, aren't you," Rin asked in an irritated voice. She sluggishly turned away from him, embracing the closest pillow next to her. She still carried no interested in going to school, but she wasn't going to miss out on as much sleep as she can get at this point.

Anthony's Office

Anthony gave her a smile. "It's a deal then." Quickly turning on his computer, he put in a few key strokes to unlock it. As he typed to get to the banks database, he asked, "So, what are the names of the two young men that you requested."

 

Cabin
Anmie picked at some scrambled eggs. She was unbelievably tired, but knew she wouldn't be falling asleep. A small yawn escaped her lips as she lifted up the fork to her mouth. "no. But we could go for a human run. Although I doubt you would ever be able to keep up." serena chuckled, thinking about all the first place medals and awards her sister had. They competed in most of the same events, but it never bothered her coming in second. annie was even faster than most of the boys from their school. She set seventeen state records in six years. They wanted her to train for the olympics, but she didn't want to show off. "a run might be fun, I haven't gone in awhile. Vickie will you be all right by yourself for awhile?" her younger sister nodded. She was used to being home alone on a regular basia. "can I time again? I found my stop watch." annie ruffled her little sister's hair. "absolutely."

Ceril stopped rocking and stood up. She lifted the trap door a crack to see how bright it was. The forest still seemed to be dimly lit so she slipped out silently. Valentine would probably be hungry when he awoke and after all of the blood that had beeb shed, her hunger was flaring. Ceril landed on the forest floor barefoot. It usually didn't take long for her to find small game, the larger usually meant traveling a distance. She didn't want to risk getting burned, so staying under the cover of the tree shade was crucial. something small, but big enough to share... she spotted a small doe, it would have to do for now.

 

Cabin

Nick kept his lips pursed around his food while he ate. When he'd finished, he licked his fingers, "Don't blame me if you get stuck behind in my dust. After all...I wouldn't want your pretty face marred with such an ugly expression such as defeat and embarrassment." Oblivious to anything he ever said, Nick continued smiling and headed to wash his sticky fingers free of the syrup.

Balmore manor - Seth's room

Seth curled around her and shut his eyes. Valentine might be able to rest once in a while, but he would never be graced with such an ability. For all he knew, his parents didn't have it and that made Valentine a black sheep in their family.

Anthony's office

Yeul folded her fingers in her lap, "I think you know one of them quite well...Seth Balmore. And the other, I'll find when I find Seth."

Annie rolled her eyes. "we'll see about that. Hopefully you're not a soar loser." she swallowed the eggs and took an orange slice. The juice ran down the corner of her mouth and annie had to grab a napkin to clean it off of her face. "annie can you ever eat without making a mess, can you?" serena watched her sister clean the orange juice off of herself.

treehouse
Ceril lunged at the deer, catching it by the leg. She held it down and snapped it's neck. The less it bled out before breakfast the beyter. She slung the doe over her shoulder and began climbing back up the tree. The deer dlumped to the floor of the treehouse with a thud. Closing the trapdoor, ceril shaked an area of the deer and slit it open. The blood was still warm and felt refreshing. It wasn't as great as eating a carnivore, but it tasted better than a squirrel or rabbit. mmmm...
