Seth picked her up carefully. "I must remember you are not a child."

Anthony's office

The woman's blue eyes flashed and three claw marks scored across his desk as if from nowhere. "I gave birth to two of the oldest vampires alive these days. I gave them what power they have. As mother to them and wife of the Orignator of the Balmore bloodline, magick dwells within my body. And I'll use every last bit of it to kill you and whoever else gets in my way. I only want to see my sons."

 

Luin Road to the Chruch~~

Rin smiled as she was in his arms. "Should we move somewhere that's more stable," Rin told him.

Anthony's Office~~

Anthony's smile was really cocky now. "Are you sure you really wish to kill me? I own the only bank in Luin, so I know where everyone is located in this town, meaning I can find whatever you are looking for. There's no way you can get in without my verification. I'm not afraid of facing death, but you'll gain nothing from my death."

Vickie sat there listening to nick's stories. She couldn't believe it all. He met her mother, knew her sisters, but was friends with a bampire. That she didn't understand. "you knew annie and serena? What were they like when they were little? They don't talk about stuff from before mommy and papa died. I barely remember them. Just photos really. Why don't vampires and wolves like each other? And the hunters? Who are they?" vickie had a million questions. They were always swimming in her mind and her sisters would never answer them. They may tell her bits and pieces, but never the whole story. Not now, not ever.
Annie sat at the kitchen table sipping her tea. They had been talking for longer than she imagined. she thought about going to check on them, but figured vickie could use some company that wasn't them. Vickie didn't get to talk to others very often.

~orphanage: basement
Ceril stood there horrified watching the blood drain from lurim's neck. She rushed to her side, ripping a large chunk off of her already dress abd quickly tying it around her neck to stop the bleeding. Her dress didn't have much length left to it. It barely covered her butt now. Ceril tied the fabric as tight as she could without choking the girl. Humans, so fragile and breakable. "how could you do this? Do you have any idea what you've done? Seth will go on a rampage! The entire town will be reduced to chaos all because of you!" she had her finger pointed at him accusingly, shrieking at valentine in the basement.

 

Cabin - Vickie's room

Nick rubbed his head, "Well...hmm, I don't remember much about your sisters...but I do know the answers to the rest of your questions." He held up one finger, "The reason wolves and vampires don't get along, is because we're natural enemies. You see....a really long time ago, when Purebloods weren't so very endangered and werewolves could walk about in packs. Before anyone could see it coming...the werewolves became slaves to the vampires." Holding up another finger, "As for the hunters...they're...another sort of people... There are two different types of hunters. Vampire Hunters and Lycan Hunters. Vampire hunters...or Dhamphir, are half vampires. They were born with one half of their genetics infected with the vampire curse. They're recruited by something called the Vampire Hunter Society. Lycan Hunters....they're our worse nightmare. Hunters taken in by preists and taught to hunt our kind." Nick considered it for a moment and pulled off his shirt, half turning to Vickie. "Lycan Hunters don't have a speical name, but they use special weapons. I was chased by one here. Shot me full of silver bullets. Vickie...if you ever meet a man with a scar on his face...turn and run as fast as you can."

Orphanage - Basement

Valentine crouched in the corner of the room, holding his head. "It wasn't supposed to be like this...I didn't mean to... Father will be so angry with me. I'm sorry...I'm sorry!"

The girl struggled against Ceril and untied her legs. "Get me out of here!"

 

~north woods: cabin
Vickie stared at nick's chest in awe. She lifted her hand up to touch one of the round scars, but then dropped it realizing it might be innopropriate. His chest was covered in small bullet scars. "why...why do they want to kill us? What did we do?" she didn't understand why the lycan hunters would want them dead. Everything nivk said made sense in her mind for the most part, but she wished it would come from her sisters. That wasn't ever going to happen, so at least one person was telling her what she needed to hear.

~orphange: basement
Ceril's eyes shifted frantically between lurim and valentine. She wanted to free the girl, it was the whole point of going there, but she was nervous about what valentine might do. Her mind wondered what might have caused this pureblood to snap the way he did. His mind seemed to be in two. A crazed man and a lost child, always waring for dominance. Finally she decided to do the one thing she had to. Quickly ceril untied the girl from the chair. She looked over her shoulder to check on the pureblood. She whispered something in lurim's ear to keep valentine from hearing. "go to the woods as fast as you can. I'll help you and if you want, I can take you to her. Go." she pulled away from the human and walked over to valentine, sitting down next to him. She spoke soothing, like a mother to a young child. "what are you trying to prove lord balmore? The only thing you're doing is destroying yourself. Wouldn't it be better to get a fresh start? Go somewhere new and be free of this torture?

 

OOC: What happend to Suzaku's group?

 

ooc: Suzaku left the hotel and is currently unconscious in the river. Nina and the others can take full advantage of the darkness to freely hunt Seth, Ceril, Valentine, Mimi, Anthony, or contact the VHS and recieve further information.

Cabin- Vickie's room

Nick felt along his back and felt the ridges of the scar he was looking for. "The night of my first change...I was hit with some sort of razor. Lycan Hunters believe we're infected with a virus and they can just eliminate it by eliminating us. They don't see humans in us anymore...only wild animals that can't fully control their instincts during a full moon."

Orphanage - Basement

The girl jumped up, confused, "Her?"

Valentine shook his head, "No...no...I can't leave now. I need it...Seth has it. The one thing Father praised us for creating...and he stole it from me...shut me out of the company...and then the Purge...it was lost...I thought... Seth still has the research." Valentine ran his hands through his hair, flicking his bright blue eyes across his shoes. "I...I'm not...leaving without my share. And neither is that girl!" he jumped up, shoving aside Ceril and ran after the girl as she scampered up the stairs.

 

~Hotel Still~

"So, what now?" Keel asked.

Vickie was confused. It didn't make any sense to her. "but...but if we were more wolf than human why wouldn't we be born that way? Not human?" she was smarter than people gave her credit for. If they were truly wild animals, then they wouldn't originate in the form of humans.

~orphanage
Ceril scrambled to her feet and raced after valentine, lunging at his feet. Grabbing valentine's legs, she sunk her teeth into his right thigh, ripping a chunk of skin. "you have to let her go!" she figured by now the entire orphanage had to be awake. There was no containing the noise anymore.

 

Cabin - Vickie's room

Nick shifted, he'd never asked that question to his parents or his pack. "Hmm...you've got me there. Hey...you want anything? Warm milk? Snack?"

Orphanage

Valentine snarled at Ceril and watched the girl disappear above the stairs. "What are you doing!? She's my only way to get it back! I need Lirum to make Seth listen to me! He won't...he won't listen..." He thumped his head down on the stairs.

Hotel -

Nina pulled out her phone, it buzzed with a text and she frowned. "Something else is in town? W-werewolves!? And a Seeress Pureblood? Keel, we need to go...we need to get to a payphone or a landline and place a call in to the Lycan Hunters and get out of town."

Vickie shook her head dismissively. "no thank you. I have water and serena doesn't let me eat before bed. She says it's bad for di...di...diges...diges..." she sat there frusrrated, trying to think of the word. Her brows furrowed, showing her frustration.
Annie finished her tea and walked back into the kitchen, putting the glass in the sink. it's taking a long time. I can't imagine him having that much to talk about with an eight-year-old. Maybe he actually went to bed in serena's room. she sighed and headed back toward the bedrooms.

~orphanage: stairwell
Ceril sighed and sat down on the stairs, taking valentine in her arms. "i'm sorry for attacking you lord balmore, but she had to be freed. Have you ever just tried to speak civilized with your brother? Maybe if you weren't trying to destroy everything he worked so hard to create then he would respond better. Violence doesn't solve anything." she tried cradling him in her arms, not sure if he'd jump into the crazed man mode again. She pitied the pureblood sitting with her. He was so broken and disturbed.

 

Cabin - Vickie's room

Nick stood and stretched his muscles. "Disgestion. Well, if you're all set, I'll let you be then. It's been an awfully long day for me... I'll see you bright and early. You should join me for my run in the morning...I'll get you up." Winking at the little girl, he slipped out her door and realized he'd left his shirt in her room. Shrugging it off, he continued towards the girls' bedrooms. Where was it they wanted him to sleep?

Orphanage - stairwell

Valentine clung to Ceril, "I can't... Father....always taught me that to love is to destroy. I can't love my brother without destroying him... So...I told myself I would do everything to keep him from relatively thinking of me as family. Seth doesn't listen to me...he doesn't listen to anyone that isn't paying him money in some way...not since Mother died."

 

Balmore Manor Foyer~

Johanna and Mimi slowly walked into the mansion, doing their best to keep their noise down. Johanna was a bit taken back by the quiet that was in the manor. It was very eerie that this place was so quiet so late at night. It just didn't feel normal; probably because the only time she ever is over here is when she comes to the midnight parties. Still, the air felt wrong.

"Let's go to your room for a bit, 'kay," Johanna asked Mimi in a cooing voice. Mimi nodded and the two of them ascended to the second floor.

 

Hotel~

Keel was surprised when Nina mention werewolves. "Any idea on where one is?" He said beofre taking out his phone and sending Allen a message.

Luin~

When Allen got the message from Keel, he scracthed his head. "How would I know where a payphone is. Oh well." Closing his phone, he decided to help him find one.

 

~cabin
Vickie put her toys before shutting off the light and crawling into bed. Annie walked down the bedroom hall and noticed nick just now coming out of vickie's room. Right away she noticed his missing shirt and couldn't help but give him a once-over. He was riddled with scars, but still very attractive. she stopped out in front of him. Serena's room was in between her own and vickies."hey." she tucked her still damp bangs behind her ear so it was out of her face.

~orphanage: stairwell
Ceril held valentine close and stroked his hair. "that's absurd. Love doesn't destroy, it conquers. It's an incredible force that when it's in place long enough, becomes unstopable. If you really don't believe me, then don't love your brother, but tolerate him. You can be civilized without having to have a strong emotion one way or another. Show him who the bigger person is." she spoke softly to him, not wanting him to get upset again. He was kind of cute when he wasn't on a rampage. He really did remind her of a child, which only made her resent her existance some more. She always wanted a family and children. To grow old and eventually die and now that will never happen. She ref us ed to bear one of those abomination unborn children of the damned. It was no fate for anyone to be forced upon.

 

Cabin

Nick gave her a slight wave and smiled. "Hey yourself. Ah...sorry about my appearance. I was telling your sister some of my old stories... That...was alright, wasn't it?"

Orphanage

Valentine lifted his head, considering her words carefully. "You'll help me? You'll stand beside me? That way...Seth can't overreact without hearing me out. He can't throw me out. You'll stand beside me, won't you?!"

Hotel

Nina frowned and brushed her hair out of her face, "I don't know... I need a land line and quick. If there are Werewolves here, I don't want to be caught in between a fight with one of them. Their teeth are like knives to vampire skin...it hurts...so very much."

Road to the Church

Seth nuzzled his partner. Taking the occasional break to let Rin breath from their "tiring" activities in the grass.

 

Luin Road to the Church~~

Rin kept her body close to Seth's. The feeling of the grass tickled her a bit as the wind blew though the night. As she kissed him, the wind picked up a bit, and a chill came down Rin's body. To aid her in warming up, she clung on closer to Seth, losing herself in the night. "Aren't you cold," Rin asked him, feeling stupid for asking the question immediately afterwards.

Annie looked at him nervously for a little while before answering. They really wanted to wait to talk to her until she finally changed. It was supposed to be months ago, but it had yet to happen. "i suppose not. Can I ask you a question? There's something that's been bothering me for a few months and since you're older I figured you might have some answers." vickie's delay on changing was eating away at her. That something must be wrong.

~orphanage: stairwell
Ceril sighed and kept a reassuring smile on her face as she held valentine. "sure. I'll go with you lord balmore. Yuka has already told me that master balmore was quite fond of me. I don't ask him for blood or money. Just solitude for the rest of existance in my tree. I'm one of the few who don't take from him at all. I show up to his parties and that's it. I don't even eat those poor people that are brought to be slaughtered. I've committed myself to a life without human blood. So if you can control your temper i'll go with you. I'm sure he would be more keen on listening if you showed up willing with one of his loyal subjects." she continued to stroke his hair. By now, lurim would have had a good head start to the woods, or home if she wanted to head straight there. Hopefully she wasn't bleeding too badly anymore.

 

Cabin

Nick grinned, leaning against the wall, "Sure, ask away."

Orphanage

Valentine thought it through, "A-alright...I suppose I could try. If...if you believe he'll...wait... He still holds parties in which he sacrifices humans? Father does that....Mother always hated it. When I was a child, she kept me away from them because I was weaker...I guess that's why Seth hates me. I spent time with Mother more than he did... Where he suffered Father's iron fist...I reveled in Mother's soothing touch." His mind away from the girl now, Valentine's bright blue eyes glowed with a pitiful look and the edgings of crimson.

Road to the Church

Seth laughed and resumed licking at her throat. "Not at all. Not only because I'm cold-blooded, but also because I have a warm human under me."

 

Luin Road to the Church ~~

Rin gave off a goofy grin. Her cheeks turned a very cherry red when she realized how stupid she must have looked. Suddenly, the feeling of the weather had disappeared around her. She felt safe in Seth's arms, and enjoyed being caressed by him. "Well, I'm glad I can warm you up," She told him, beginning to kiss him.
