Bloody Nightmare

Balmore Manor - Foyer

Seth released the hunter and rolled his shoulder as fresh blood rolled through his system, healing his wound. Wiping his mouth with a handkerchief, he tossed it on the man's neck to hide the injury. "Yes. Are you..." he bit down on his words, of course she was frightened. Who wouldn't be.

 

Balmore Manor Foyer

Rin was wondering exactly what Seth was asking her. She figured that he was asking if she was scared about what happened. Of course she was scared; someone had broken into the Manor and tried to take her away from there. She wasn't going to lie and say Seth wasn't scary, but she knew that he did it in order to protect them. Running into his chest again, she didn't fight the tears that were dripping down her cheeks.

"Does it hurt," She asked.

 

Balmore Manor - Foyer

Seth nearly bit his tongue in half to keep from saying something cliched to her. "Ah...no, not anymore. I'll be a little sore, so be gentle with me." Smoothing her hair, Seth set her away from him and wiped her tears, "You have such lovely eyes....I dare not change them by changing what species you are. Come with me, Rin. Let's dispose of this man someplace where he won't find our home again." Picking up Suzaku's unconscious form, he slung him over his shoulder and started for the door. Kicking the gun over to the corner, Seth figured he should keep the toy and dismantle it so he wouldn't be shot again. Chances were, the hunter had a zillion other weapons he'd come charging at him with. It was best to keep Rin someplace safer than here.

 

Balmore Manor Foyer~~

Rin followed closely next to Seth as she was going to follow him to properly dispose of the body. She looked at the corpse, but not too carefully. He seemed to have a promised life, even a promising after life, but decided to mess with the wrong people. "Seems a downright shame," Rin said to herself, commenting on the body, thinking back to a song she once heard. it was kind of a comedic, twisted song, and one that Rin would sometimes sing to herself on boring days. She continued to hum the rest of it while following Seth closely.

 

Church

Seth glanced down at her, "Shame? Oh, he's not dead, love. Half-vampires like him, require a lot more than a bite to put out of commision. He'll be up again in a day or two." Setting the hunter down beside a tree, he pried open his mouth and held it open for Rin. "Half-vampires, or Dhamphirs, can never make their fangs disappear by will. They keep their mouths shut around humans. Vampires, like me, usually don't hide our fangs, but we can. If need be."

 

Church

Rin silently giggled as she figured Seth didn't get her joke. Rin examined the hunter in front of her. She clearly saw the fangs in his mouth, similar to Seth's. The way she looked at the creature, it was as if he was some kind of animal they were getting ready to dissect. Rin didn't think that tearing him apart in such a manor was out of the question either. "That's good to know," Rin commented, backing away from the hunter.

Seth hummed a Whitney Houston song and rolled the hunter over the hill, letting gravity take him where it wanted. Turning back to Rin, he grinned, "C'mon, show me how much of that humanity you humans cherish so much can handle. I dare you to climb this tree." Feeling it wouldn't be too risky, he cocked his head to the side and watched the young girl beside him. How far would he allow human emotions take him away from the reality he'd created for himself. But...was it truly reality if he created it?

 

Church~~

Rin let out a more audible laugh this time. "Why would I want to do that and ruin this lovely little night gown I'm in," Rin said, teasing Seth in the process. "If it was a double dare on the other hand, that's a different story. You can't say no to a double dare"

Seth lifted one eyebrow and spread his fingers across her cheek, "Alright...I double dare you. If you beat me...you can have whatever you want." Raking his gaze down her nightgown and back to her face, he smirked, "Whatever you want." he repeated.

Bank- Anthony's office

Anthony's office phone rang without end.

 

Church~~

Rin smiled a very malicious smile. The possibilities flowed through her minds, all that she knew Seth could make come true. "Alright, it's a deal," Rin said. She didn't wait for him to initiate the contest; she wanted to win no matter what. It had been a while since she had climbed trees like this. The nightgown seemed to be tearing as well. She knew that it wasn't covering up much to begin with, but she found it very pretty, as well as warm. She was hoping at least that it would give her an advantage against Seth; lust was always a powerful weapon, no matter the situation.

Anthony's Office~~

Anthony had obviously been very bored over the past few days. He always tried to look busy while interviewing girls for the open secretary position. After some time away from the office, he came back, only to hear the annoying tone of the phone on his desk. He picked it up and said "Hello," in a grumpy manner.

 

Luin- Road to the Church

Seth chuckled, watching her climb. Exhaling slowly, though he didn't need the oxygen, he took another breath and closed his eyes. When he opened them, dark brown iris' lightened as the wind whipped his face from the treetop. He didn't bother glancing down at Rin, still climbing.

Bank - Anthony's office

A dark, deep voice rumbled through the reciever, "You'd best not be taking that tone with me, child." An Originator's voice snarled.

Rin couldn't believe her eyes. She grew very angry with Seth, tricking her lick that. Rin figured that he was going to pull something like that, but she still felt like it was worth trying. "You ass!" Rin called out to him. Rin grudgingly continued the climb up the tree, now no longer filled with intensive. She reached Seth's level, huffing her way into the branch. Half of her nightgown had been torn from climbing the tree. "You tricked me!"

Anthony's Office~~

Anthony's face became hard. Something in his body was telling him not to make the person he was talking to into an enemy. Instead, he took a second to calm himself. "May I help you," Anthony said in a calm voice.

Seth smiled gently and hoisted her up so she stood opposite of him, "Did I? Have you ever considered....that what you want...might be exactly what I want?"

Bank- Anthony's office

The Originator rumbled in a less intensive tone, "A woman by the name of Yeul Balmore is heading in the direction of Luin. Your town and Seth's town. As a vampire unconnected to Seth by oaths, I want you to detain Mrs. Balmore and convince her to return to Romania." He paused for a moment, "The woman has long silver-grey hair and blue eyes. Have I made myself clear?"

Rin stared at him, not sure if he was too serious. "And what exactly is it what you want?"

Anthony's Office~~

Anthony made sure to remember the details of the girl. He wasn't too sure of what was going on, but it seemed right to have this man as his ally. "I understand. What exactly does she want with our tiny, nothing town?"

Seth dipped his head close to hers, "Just a kiss...and for you to go to school."

Anthony's office

The Originator snarled, "That's none of your damned buisness! You will find her, and you will send her back to Romania where she belongs, despite any excuse she gives! That woman is a vixen! If I could leave my estate, I'd be down there finding her myself. I swear, if you set a hand on Yeul in any way innappropriate, I'll be at your door to rip your head off."

Rin sighed. She didn't quite understand what was so important about going to school. She moved closer to him, noticing the tears in her clothing aided her, in a way. "I can grant you a kiss, at least," She told him, moving her lips closer to his.

Anthony's Office

Anthony couldn't help but want to laugh at this man's outburst. It was obvious that he didn't think very well when he was angry. "I'll do my best to find her and return her to you. I have no control of her actions before I find her though."

Seth captured her mouth, keeping them both steady in the tree with one arm. Pressing against her, he snapped a branch in half without realizing.

Anthony's office

The man started to growl something else when the phone went dead. Standing at the front of Anthony's desk with a delicate hand holding the phone cord that had been yanked from the wall, was the woman he'd described. She was lean and batted her dark blue eyes at Anthony. "Hello."

Rin slowly shut her eyes as Seth kissed her. She felt safe in his arms. Even if the branch snapped between the two of them, she knew that she would be safe in his arms. Rin kissed him back, enjoying the peaceful moment away from all the drama.

Anthony's Office~~

Anthony looked that the woman at the front of the room. This definitely wan't something he was expecting to do. He didn't exactly like the mood the man was talking to him over the phone. He looked at the woman, sure that this was the girl the man was talking about. He pretended that nothing was wrong, ready to talk in a monotone voice. "Hello, ma'am. Is there something I can help you with?"

Seth flicked the broken branch away and pulled her closer to him. He had to stop thinking of her as a little girl. He'd watched everyone in this town grow up, including Rin.

Anthony's office

The woman dropped the cord and leaned against his desk, her white dress gaping open from a slit in the middle of her chest. Fashion designers...they were all about sex appeal. "Please don't play dumb with me. I have excellent hearing and I'm not stupid. The man on the phone with you earlier, my husband...is ever so careful. All I want...is to see my boys again."

Rin was smiling as she felt herself become closer to Seth. She couldn't help but think that she was stuck in a dream that was impossible for her to wake up. Her heart began to flutter as she leaned in closer to her. Rin decided to kiss him again, to return the great affection she had for him.

Anthony's Office~~

Anthony smiled, now understanding more of the situation. He still didn't know why her husband called him, and what roll he wanted to play in this little story. "Well, I was told to take you back. What exactly are you going to do to stop me." Anthony felt comfortable in his words to her.
