Bloody Nightmare

Annie was startled by thw large wolf that walked up to herm but immediately noticed it's familiar scent as it nudged her with it's nose. "nicholas? But...but how are you...? and controlling it?" she was so confused, but also very much in pain. "it's not safe here. That pureblood is lurking around here somewhere. his stench is pretty overpowering." she bit down on her lip to contain the pain. She didn't want to look weak, not in front of him.

 

North Woods - Trail

Nick nodded his furry head once and twitched his ears, scanning the forest for Valentine. He moved behind her and nosed her in the back, trying to get her moving. A snarl emitted from the forest edge and Nick spun around, growling in turn. Yellow dominated his eyes and his lips pulled back, revealing long, white canines. Valentine dropped down from a tree and Nicholas snarled with such force the ground seemed to vibrate. "Oh, I'm soooo scared. Big bad wolf, going to bite me are we? Quite the old fella, aren't you? Controlling your inner demon. But...alas your girlfriend is injured...however will you get her home? Can't carry her...you're just a mutt." Nick's fur lifted on his shoulders in rage and he launched himself at Valentine. Thrashing and struggling with the vampire on the ground they rolled into the underbrush of the forest and disappeared. The occasional sounds of a bark of pain or a gutteral grunt coming from the approaching darkness.

Annie shouted as nick lunged himself at valentine, but it was too late. She watched the two disappear into the woods horror stricken. She felt helpless, and that wasn't something she was used to. Annie was always the action type and now she had to wait, hoping that nick would be okay. The odds didn't seem like they were in his favor, given that he had just pulled so many bullets out of his body. They were naturally quick healers, but silver took a little bit longer. She was starting to feel dispair when her sister came out of the tree lining holding a shotgun.

Serena had been eating when she noticed nick was gone. It had taken him an oftly long time to change so she went to go check on him. Taking off seemed strange since he planned on staying for a few days. After standing around for a few minutes she a loud thud and shouting. It was accompanied by growls and snarls. She knew something was wrong and went to the closet, grabbing a 12-guage. Serena noticed vickie looking nervous and walked over to her before leaving. "vickie lock the door and don't let anyone in. i'll be back soon, I just want to check on that noise." she hurried out the door gun in hand, finding her sister leaning against a tree.

"what happened?" annie looked frantic and in pain. "i sprained my ankle on that root over there, then that bloodsucker came back and nick attacked him. They went down there! she pointed in the direction the two battling monsters fell and serena hurried down carefully. She kept the shotgun up to her shoulder, aiming the entire time she walked.

~balmore manor: basement
"i suppose he does. I guess I never really realized it before." ceril glanced up at the clock on the wall, noticing what time it was. "it should be dark now. Probably time to go home." she sighed as turned towards the door.

 

North Woods - Trail

Nick sunk his teeth into Valentine's shoulder as the vampire tore at the fur and skin on his flank. "Get your filthy...mutt teeth out of my body!" Ripping him away, Nick found himself flying through the air and landed against a tree. Suppressing a whimper, he pulled himself to his paws and shook his head of the flashing dark spots bursting in front of his eyes. Valentine growled, "You've ruined my best suit. You stupid mutt!" Kicking Nick in the side, the wolf snapped and bit Valentine's leg, tearing fabric along with skin away from the bone. Valentine lifted his head and Nick's ears twitched backwards as they heard Serena descending from the trail after them. Valentine turned on his heels and bolted away, leaving Nick panting and licking his nose as he sniffed at his wounds. They'd heal soon enough.

Balmore Manor - Basement

Yuka nodded silently, "Yes I suppose it is... Ah...with Valentine out there please be extra careful. And...Seth said he found werewolves living in Luin now so...be wary tomorrow night as it's the full moon."

 

Balmore Manor Second Floor~~

"Mimi! Get back here! You can't go in there!"

Johanna had been chasing Mimi around the house for a while now. Mimi had become very unruly and inpatient. She had a sudden burst of energy and was ready to let it all out. She had been bouncing around the walls as Johanna was chasing her, trying to calm the young vampire down. She wanted to ask Seth if it was okay for her to go outside now.

Without much thought on the situation, Mimi broke through the doors of Seth's room. She made her way to the bed and started bouncing around, hoping to wake up Seth. "When do I get to play? You said I could play!"

 

Balmore Manor - Seth's room

Seth leapt from bed and pinned Mimi to the floor, his hand closing her airway and his other hand holding one of her arms above her head on the floor. Blinking, Seth returned to his senses, "Mimi...?" Pulling away from her, Seth crouched at the base of his bed and folded his arms around his knees like a little boy. "I...don't...don't do that again." His mind racing for an explanation, he landed on one thing only. The vampire within him considered Rin as his mate, which made him sick to his stomach, and he saw Mimi's playfullness as a threat to Rin's life. Thus, eliminating that threat was the only way to go. But Mimi was apart of his family now, not a threat.

 

Balmore Manor Seth's Room~~

Mimi had a look of shock on her face. She had felt trust for Seth, but if he only reacted a second later, the new life she had entered would have been shortly ended. "I'm...I'm sorry," Mimi said, sounding like she wanted to cry. "I'd just like to play around a bit. To...have fun."

Quickly, Johanna came into the room slowly, seeing that the doors were burst open to begin with. She went to the little girl and hugged her. She looked at Seth, figuring out what had happened. Neither of them were really at fault in her eyes. It was all instinct to the both of them. "I'm sorry sir. I'll try to teach her better."

 

Balmore Manor - Seth's room

Seth frowned, mostly at himself. "Take her outside, Johanna....it's dark enough. You'll be alright. Let her expend her energy." He pulled himself to his feet and leaned over a sleeping Rin, mournfully reaching out to touch her cheek and recoiling. "Go..."

 

Hotel Still~

I'll take that as a yes. Keel thought as he took out his phone and sent Allen a message on where he was.

Luin~
Allen had just gotten up when he'd gotten Keel's message. "So that's where you are." He said to himself as he headed to the Hotel.

 

Balmore Manor Seth's Room~~

Mimi gave him a cheerful grin. Beating Johanna to the punch, she made her way out of the bedroom and started bouncing throughout the halls. Not even thinking, she leaned over the railings and jumped down to the first floor. It didn't hurt her at all. It didn't cost her any energy. Johanna bowed at Seth, a sign of thanks, apology, and relief.

Rin began to stir in the bed. The bouncing on the bed had caused her to regain consiousness. She was slightly awake when she heard Seth talking to Johanna. When she felt that everyone had left, she whispered, "Are you okay?"

 

Balmore Manor - Seth's room

Seth laid on top of Rin over the covers and breathed in her scent. She was starting to smell like him. "I'm fine... You're so...warm. Rin...." he murmured her name as he moved her hair away from her neck and glowered at it as he watched her pulse beat under her skin. Changing his mind, Seth reached under the covers and pulled her hand up and set it on his neck, just below the collar of his shirt. Letting her feel the still healing puncture wounds from Lady Elizabeth's feeding. "Everyone feeds from me....if I changed you, you would too...it would be all you want. My blood or my body...never me anymore..."

 

Balmore Manor Seth's Room~~

Rin gave Seth a blank stare. She didn't like it when he went off on these tangents. She felt the wounds against her fingers. They felt deep and very, very painful. She couldn't see herself doing something like that. "You don't know that, Seth," She returned to him, sounding a bit annoyed. "I know my own emotions. And look at you. Your instinct is to drain me dry of all my blood, but you're cradling me in your arms, as if you actually loved me. What does that tell you?"

 

Balmore Manor - Seth's room

"That I've finally gone mad." Seth smiled slightly, unwilling to believe she wouldn't act the same. Not a party didn't go by that Lady Elizabeth didn't show up and demand his blood straight from his neck and he could've sworn everytime she tried to seduce him. "If you don't believe me...I'm sure I could make a phone call and a certain lady would gladly demonstrate what I'm talking about." He didn't like the idea of calling Elizabeth, but he didn't trust himself around Rin anymore. Fear he would do something he could never take back pulled at his unbeating heart and ate away at him from the inside.

 

Balmore Manor Seth's Room~~

Rin wrapped her arms around Seth's neck. She didn't like the tone he was taking, and after the day she had, she refused to let him ruin it. "Well, maybe I've gone a little mad myself. How many people would fall in love with something that's wants to kill them. My instincts are telling me to run away, but something else, something much more powerful, is telling me to stay with you." Rin kissed his lips, running her fingers through his dark hair. She tried her best to hide the tears that were welling up.

Serena hurried to nick's side, still weilding the gun. She knelt down next to him and grabbed his side. "are you hurt badly?" she poked around at him looking at his injuries. "we should get back quickly, before he comes back." serena tugged at his shoulder. Annie hobbled down towards them. Her ankle was starting to heal and she wanted to find out what was going on.

~balmore manor: basement
"all right. I'll keep my eyes open. Wouldn't want to walk into trouble on the way home." she gave yuka a quick smile before walking upstairs and out of the basement. She hesitated for a moment before entering the church to head home.

 

Balmore Manor - Seth's room

Seth kissed her back, refusing to see the tears in her eyes, even though he could smell the salt. Any other time and he would've addressed her distress, but now he didn't want any part of it.

North Woods - Trail

Nick flinched and snapped at Serena as she poked at his side. He growled, limping a few steps. The climb back up the hill to the trail and then back to the cabin would be impossible. Though he'd started to heal, everything felt on fire. Determined not to let two females of his own species see him in this pathetic state, he vainly attempted to climb up the hillside. Sliding back down as his muscles flexed to pull him upwards, he whimpered involuntarily in pain and bent to lick his paws.

 

Outside of Balmore Manor~~

Mimi didn't waste any time once she was outside. She gazed around the scenery. She was able to see everything that was in the night, not being blinded by anything. Running straight across the street, she ran in between some bushes, enjoying the feeling of the shrubbery on her skin. Everything felt real and alive. She started to quickly climb up a tree, Johanna right behind her to chaperon her first true night as a vampire.

Balmore Manor Seth's Room~~

Rin smiled when she felt him kiss her back. She embraced the silence, mapping out the structure of his face with her finger tips. "I love you," She told him while she touched his cheek.

 

Balmore Manor - Seth's room

Seth nibbled on her bottom lip and ticked her neck with his breath. "I...I need you to stop saying that." He didn't want her to love him. He didn't want her to feel the pain of when he found Lirum again. If she would take him back he would jump at the chance. It was always Lirum. But...apart of his mind tore at the thought, reminding him it was Lirum who left him, who initiated the Purge. Who killed several of his closest friends. It was her fault and the knowledge that she hated him hurt more than anything. Rin constantly told him she loved him...that she wanted to be with him....never once had she cringed away from him in fear. Even though she barely knew him, she spoke those words. "I need...you to stop speaking altogether." He licked at her neck, trailing his teeth along the delicate skin there.

 

Balmore Manor Seth's Room~~

To Rin, it felt like her heart had sunk. She had tried to break down the barriers that Seth had around his heart. She even believed that the memories she had crafted with him were something special. Something different was coursing through her body though, something she didn't understand. She looked at him, following that same feeling that was telling her to love him only a moment ago. "That's all I am to you, I guess. Just some toy you can play with and throw away once you go tired of it." She removed the blanket that was on top of her, laying her body out, her limbs stretched out. "I mean nothing, so therefore, I am nothing."

 

Balmore Manor - Seth's room

Seth frowned down at her, his eyes reluctantly roving over her. Sighing, Seth rolled his eyes, "Are you always so melodramatic?" He growled as she moved, his nerves still tense and zinging through his body, "You mean everything to me. For a human so involved with an emotion you're new at you can't seem to grasp that. For a human to still be alive and in a vampire's bed and yet not have a single puncture wound on her, you obviously don't realize how much that means. If you meant nothing I'd have bitten you hours ago and left you dry as a bone." Not realizing he'd raised his voice, Seth backed off and held her face between his hands, "I'll never understand where you get those thoughts from. Humans are my toys...we've been over this. But you.....you are different. You're a toy I don't want to break. A toy I'd rather hide from the rest of my friends and never let them even sniff at your skirts. I don't want them to have you, touch you, look at you or smell you. I don't want them to even breath the same air that you do."
