"So, where to now?" Keel asked.

Seth couldn't possibly promise this to her. "I...I promise," he choked and held her tightly to him, uncaring if he bruised her delicate mortal body. Already she was covered in bruises but he'd sealed her fate with two simple words. But they were two words the woman he'd loved the first time hadn't wanted to hear ever.

Luin - Hotel Still

Suzaku and Nina had gathered the Dhamphirs into a room in a very odd Hotel named Hotel Still. Suzaku sighed painfully. "What else can we do? The night is over...we'll have to pick our moves carefully and move before the Vampires do. Another Purge would be good...but we'd risk the lives of all the humans that live here."

Rin did her best not to groan as she felt herself feeling claustrophobic in his embrace. She did her best to show him her smiling face, feeling genuine happiness. "Thank you," She whispered to him.

Johanna was making her way down the stairs after telling young Mimi to simply stay in the room. She had heard the smashing only a few moments ago and wanted to see what happened. She didn't feel the need to interrupt the moment Seth and his human were going through. She remembered what it was like to be a young woman and in love. She was wondering where her ex-fiance was and what he was doing now. She made her way to Ceril. "What happened down here," She asked calmly.

Seth released Rin and set the blue flowered vase down on the floor. "This...is my mother, Yeul Balmore. She was a Pureblood too. She died a long time ago. Purebloods give up their lives for their children, to protect them....or something like that. Only Purebloods can have children that will be alive when they're born...all others desperately try and their children are born dead."

Orphanage Basement

Valentine crooned at the young girl's side, stroking black hair away from her cut neck and she moaned, half conscious. "Don't worry...it'll all feel good soon...real soon. You smell...so good." She opened dark blue eyes and took in Valentine's malicious face. Terror filled her heart, making it beat faster. He brought glinting fangs closer to her neck and she screamed against the tape on her mouth.

Rin followed behind Seth as if she were his shadow. The way he was talking about his mother made him feel worse. She never knew who her mother was, and the women at the orphanage were far from motherly in her eyes. Still, she appreciated what he had to say all the same. "She'd be proud of you; I know it," Rin said to Seth, mostly speaking out loud to herself.

Annie fidgetted uncomfortably as she waited for serena to show up. "i don't have water, but i'll get you some. Just hold on." she could see the prius in the distance. "just a few more minutes. You'll be fine soon."

Ceril looked up at johanna in a daze. "hmm? Oh. Valentine. He destroyed everything, and that little human girl knocked over the urn of master balmore's mother. from what it sounded like, valentine kidnapped seth's former familiar and has her tied up in the orphange. Then he left. Now they are just having a moment. I didn't feel comfortable watching."

The man shifted uncomfortably, "You...y-you're...Annie..." He pushed himself onto his back with one arm and held his other arm out to her, showing a perfect hole in his bicep. "Re...move....the bullets..." There were several perfect holes in his chest and a few on his legs. The glint of silver from each caused rivlets of sweat to roll down his forehead.

Seth stood, setting the vase on a table and turned to Johanna and Ceril. "That's right...he has Lirum."

"W-Who's Lirum," Rin asked, keeping behind Seth. She was a bit intimated by all the other vampires in the room. She was really only used to being around Seth. Around the female vampires, she felt very out of place. They had a type of elegance that she believed she would never achieve.

Seth figured everyone was waiting for an answer. "Lirum is...was...my human consort for a while. Twenty years ago, I loved her and I thought she loved me. Things happened and she left for New York like she'd always wanted to. I didn't think she'd come back to Luin..."

Annie froze, dropping her mp3 player on the gravel. The rocks scratched the screen and she dropped to her knees. "how...how did you know my name?" the silver prius came rolling up as she tried to carefully dig the bullets out of the man's body. Serena came running from the car with a blanket in hand. She tossed it onto the stranger's legs and knelt down next to her sister."well it's not too often we see a naked male werewolf. Wait...why are you naked? The full moon isn't until tomorrow night." serena gave the man a quick once over with a smile on her face. He wasn't bad, just not really her type. She noticed annie looked a little stunned and out of it, but figured it could wait til later.

Ceril stood, feeling very out of place in the manor. It was such a different environment then what she was used to. It was full and lively, which was ironic since all of it's residents were dead. Well almost all of them. Even when she was alive, her home was never this active. Nobody interacted with one another.

The man growled as Annie dug out a few of the bullets. "Move...faster...in that...form..." he clicked his teeth together as is he wasn't used to speaking with human lips. "You're...An-Annie..." he rasped and shoved himself up onto his elbows and knees. "Full moon's...tomorrow? I need...to find....little Seth. She said...Lu would need me...and him..."

Rin felt very at least. She didn't want to put a name to the person that was important to Seth in his past. As long as it was a blank identity, it wouldn't feel as weird for her. She could picture him saying the girl's name in a delightful way. She held on to Seth's arm, doing her best to keep a straight face. "Well, what do we do from here?"

Seth sighed, "We can't move in the sunlight today. I'm much too tired to fight with Valentine again and Ceril and Mirabelle can't accompany us to help Lirum home in the daylight. We'll rest...at least..I will. Ceril, Yuka, Mirabelle, Cooke...if you would just...ready dinner for Rin and prepare the car with a kit for treating wounds."

Rin was ready to speak out in protest; she didn't wish to leave Seth's side knowing that he was in this kind of state. That all changed when she felt her stomach growling. There was no way that she could hide it, she was the only human here after all. "Is there anything I could do to help?"

Serena pulled the blanket over the man, covering his entire body. Annie stopped ulling the bullets out. Her hands started shaking. The anger started bubbling in her. "we'll talk about that back at the cabin. You need to heal before you go meeting the likes of them. What is it with this town and vampires?" she grabbed his arm and watched serena come up on the other side lifting him to the car. "who are you anyway?"

Ceril stood there with a confused look on her face. Seth kept including her in family matters, but she wasn't family and didn't even live there. As soon as the sun was low enough she would be leaving back to her tree. Ceril didn't understand. "why...why are you including me?"

Seth looked up from Rin and smiled gently at Ceril, "Because I trust you. Unlike the rest of the vampires in this town, I like you, Ceril. Anthony is ll about buisness..and he doesn't listen to me anyways. Everyone else is all about eating people...which I must remind them again that we don't eat people." Patting Rin's head, he gave her a gentle push towards Cooke, "You'll have dinner now."

The man winced and finally opened bright blue eyes fully. "Sorry...I'm not here to make friends with vampires...especially Purebloods...I'm just here for Lu. My name is Nicholas Roman. I'm actually surprised you don't know me." He hobbled to the car and shook brown hair out of his eyes. "I lead a pack back in Manhattan. Yesterday I got a message from an old friend telling me a human girl living in Luin would need my help. I'm a sucker for women in distress." Nick frowned, "Or maybe I'm just a sucker."

Johanna approached Seth very gracefully. "Seth, if I may have a moment. I am grateful for you helping me and Mimi. I know that I am to keep my position at the hospital in order to keep a sense of normalcy, and I am thankful for being able to do my job. If there is anything you need of me though, sir, any thing at all, please tell me to do so."

ceril nodded and gave seth a polite thank you. she walked over to the others and stood waiting by yuka's side.

annie opened up the car door to the backseat. "there is nothing wrong with wanting to help. but these vampires seem like nothing but trouble. let us get you taken care of. then i'll show you where the pureblood is." serena climbed into the driver seat and waited for annie to get in back with nicholas.

Nick wrapped the blanket around him, not feeling self-conscious like he should about being naked in the presence of two girls, but worried about ruining their seats. "You need not. With the full moon tomorrow night...I'll need rest afterwards and I'm sure he's busy. I must find the girl first. How hard can it be to find a human girl that reeks of Vampire?" He glanced around the car and eyed Annie's fingers. "Do you have a knife...or could you dig them out with your claws? These silver bullets really sting. I'd like them removed quickly. A knife would be good."

Seth ushered Rin into the dining room again, met by a simple sandwich and Cooke's nervous chatter. Yuka took Ceril down into the basement where Seth's strange office lie and set on the piles of accounting papers and etc to be sorted and filed away.

Annie turned to dig out the rest of the bullets as serena started the car. "no knife, sorry. We'll have make due. It might be more difficult than you think. This whole town reeks of vampire. My nose hurts just thinking about it." she cringed as the car pulled onto the wooded trail leading to their cabin. Serena kept spying on annie and nicholas through the rearview mirror. She smiled to herself as she thought about how friendly her sister was being. She never took to anyone othwr than her family and now she was in the backseat with a naked guy picking bullets out of his body. She really had come a long ways.

Ceril picked up a few stacks of spreadsheets and tax papers. Her eyes went wide as she looked at all the calculations. She had been a math geek growing up and wanted to get some sort of job working with numbers, most likely an accountant. "my word. Who does master balmore's paperwork? This is all wrong. Whoever filed his taxes for that year screwed him out of a lot of money. You should probably inform him that he needs to fire his accountant." as she picked up files, ceril couldn't help but glance over them. She was astonished at how poor the math was. She sorted everything into piles by year and type, making sure she placed them all into any free folders she could find.
