Bloody Nightmare

Annie weaved in and oit of trees until she reached the ends of the woods. town was in sight, but she had no idea where her sisters had gone. She caught a whiff of something foul and distant, but she had a hunch it would lead her in the right direction. The nose never did lie. She used her keen sense of smell to lead her in the direction of the gas station.

 

Balmore Manor - Dining room

Seth smiled and turned his attention to Mirabelle and Cooke leading Mimi into the room. His smile changed. Gentler and open, he slid out of his chair and knelt on the ground, holding a hand out to Mimi. "You're awake. I'm glad you survived the change. Johanna would be furious with me if you hadn't. You worried me, Mimi...I was worried you weren't going to make it. I trust they fed you a bit. You must be hungry...and not the kind of hungry you're used to. Come here child...I'll give you what you need."

The man grinned, fully, complete with white fangs, "You are simply precious! I never would've thought you'd have met a Pureblood, let alone my brother, and not realized he was important. As much as the pompus jerk likes to flaunt it... You truly are a hopeless creature, cherla." It wasn't completely known why he called Serena 'cherla' or even what it meant. "I am Valentine Balmore. Perhaps you've heard of me? No? My...I'm the one who will be destroying your life from here on." he grinned again, visciously, and dug his fingers into the hood of the car.

 

Balmore Manor Dining Room~~

Mimi smiled at how kind the man was to her. She could barely remember her from the party. He was the last person she met, the one that the party was for in the first place. She took Seth's hand cautiously, still trying to process what was going on. "Did you get any good presents," Mimi asked him, her hunger starting to bother her.

Serena let out a loud growl and heard vickie scream from inside of the car. "you will leave at once!" her words came through gritted teeth. She was abour to lunge at the pureblood if it hadn't been for annie yelling behind them. "hey! Get away from them! I know where you ridiculous vamps are hiding out! Don't think I won't go barging in!" she broke into a run. Heading directly for valentine.

Ceril grabbed yuka's shoulders and started shaking her. "yuka? Yuka answer me." she started panicking. Whatever was about to happen was bad. i didn't think vampires could go into shock.

 

Balmore Manor - Dining room

Seth cradled the girl close and tapped his neck, "Yes...yes indeed," he mumbled, glancing at Rin out of the corner of his eye, "Now it's only customary for you to drink the blood of your Sire. I promise I don't taste bad. It's easy...I promise." He stroked the little girl's back, urging her to feed from him. Lack of this old tradition and he'd lose the girl completely after her first century.

Balmore Manor Foyer

Yuka glanced up at Ceril, her blue eyes filled with tears, "He's going to make Seth angry...he's going to ruin our lives here... I...I have to hide the valuables...and breakables." She jumped up and started gathering up anything breakable or valuable like the old paintings hanging on the walls and storing them in her poor excuse for a room.

Valentine grabbed Annie's arm and spun her around as she charged at him, "Do you now? And where might they have chosen to hide from me now? Last time they had built a nice house...but it was so easy to burn down... Perhaps something more of a challenge this time?"

 

Balmore Manor Dining Room~~

Mimi could hardly understand what was going on. She simply allowed her body to act on its own. Her top lip pulling back, her brand new fangs seemed to glisten. She pierced the man's neck, tasting a small bit of blood. The blood coming from him was something that was much sweeter than she had originally thought it would be.

Rin didn't want to look at the young girl biting Seth. She had learned from last night that this wasn't something that was pleasurable for him. This was a young girl too; she felt that this was something that he simply had to do since he was some kind of vampire leader. Still, she looked away for a little while and looked at the other vampires in the room. "P-pleasure to see you," She said to them.

Serena gasped as the vampire caught annie's arm. Nobody ever caught annie. She was fast. She didn't take first in every track meet in high school for nothing. Annie was startled that the man grabbed her and what he said had thrown her off as well. She looked up at him confused. "you mean you aren't with those other ones?" she hated vampires, but something inside her was begging to protect the residents of the old church. "then i'm afraid I refuse to help you. We need to live in this town too. If we help you then we could have every other vampire from this town at our door and given the stench, that's a lot." she tried pulling her arm free as serena stepped around the side of the car. ceril chased after yuka, helping grab whatever looked breakable or expensive. "let me help or you'll never get done in time." her short dress was making all the work she was doing today rather inconvienent and tedious.

Valentine yanked Annie's arm hard, nearly pulling it from it's socket. "Ah, but alas...I mearly want to rid your town of one very annoying Pureblood. No matter the price...I'd do anything to rid the world of the name Seth Balmore." he snarled in Annie's ear.

Seth closed one eye as Mimi bit him. He'd almost forgotten what that felt like.....not. A poor joke to himself, but one he needed. Every Vampire longed to taste the blood of a Pureblood. To be bonded to one. "Easy...." he crooned.

Mirabelle and Cooke curtsied to Rin and Cooke lifted an eye brow, "Ya like my cookin'? I thought I might've over done it but it seems like you were hungry. I sure hope Seth didn't work you too hard...heh...we all pretty much heard last night. With the talking and the breathing and the..." she stopped talking as Mirabelle slapped the back of her head.

Mimi was drinking as much blood as she could. No matter how much she took in, she had a want for more. She didn't know that she was hurting Seth though. "I'm sorry," Mimi said in between sips.

Rin blushed, hiding her face in her arms. "Y-you actually heard all of that? Everything?" Rin made a mental note to tell Seth that she wanted him to put in sound-proof barriers in his bedroom as soon as he possibly could. She couldn't even look Cooke in the eye, the orange juice shaking in her hand. "I-it was good. T-thank you v-very much."

Seth shut his eyes, "Shhh...it's fine." As soon as he felt the tug of the bond, Seth gently removed her fingers gripping his clothes and pulled her away. "Can you...feel it? That's me...your Sire. Go...with Cooke...and she'll get the rest of the blood you need for you. It might not...taste as good...but the blood from the blood bank....is what we live off of until the next...party...okay?" Seth took shallow breaths and fought to keep his eyes open. He wanted to sleep for a good long time now. Mimi would become Mimi Balmore just like Cooke...but Cooke had refused his name and he had no heir. He wouldn't let Mimi refuse him... He stood and stumbled against the wall, the ground swaying in front of him. "Just...a bit light headed...that's all..."

Cooke smiled at Rin and reached for Mimi's hand. Mirabelle and she frowned at Seth as he stumbled. For a guy that prided himself on being graceful, he was acting pretty clumsy.

"Okay," Mimi said to Seth as she took Cooke's hand reluctantly. Seth's blood was the sweetest thing that she had ever tasted. She doubted that anything would be able to match it. In a soft voice, she started singing "Mary Had a Little Lamb" as she was taken to get more blood to drink.

Rin didn't like the way that Seth was acting. She had no idea that a vampire could be be so ungraceful, especially that vampire being Seth. She held onto Seth, in order to give him support. "If you need to, you can feed off of me." She handed him the small knife she used to eat her eggs with.

Seth made a pained face and leaned heavily on Rin. His face burned. Eventually he slipped off Rin's shoulder and collapsed in the floor.

Mirabelle shrieked, "Seth! Seth!? Onii-chan!!"

Cooke hurried Mimi along. She knew very well Seth would come down with something after letting the little girl feed for so long.

Seth closed his eyes, his face felt like it was on fire and his stomach lurched, forcing him to slightly throw up blood he'd eaten last night from Rin. In his hazy minds eye, he saw her...the black haired beauty that caught his eye the first time. He saw straight to the real her through her blue-green eyes. Lirum... He coughed and laughed at the same time, making it into a strange strangled sound with a smile at the end.

 

Balmore Manor Dining Room~~

Rin let out a scream when she saw him hit the floor. Carefully, she cradled him in her arms, crying, thinking of the worst possible scenario. She looked up at Mirabelle, her face dirty with her tears. "Help him; please!" Rin didn't want to waste anymore time. She searched his body for the dagger he always carried, but there was nothing on him. She then remembered the fangs that Seth had. Rin opened his mouth and purposely cut her finger at the tip. It stung a little, but not too long. She wanted for him to drink from her finger, even though she wanted something much sharper; to give him her arm instead.

Ceril quickly gathered most of the things in the front room. "do you want the bedrooms done too?"

Annie turned in the direction of the church. "serena, finish what you came into town to do, and then take vickie home. Lock the doors. Mr. balmore...i'll take you to the others." her arm hurt terribly, but all she could think about was her sisters getting to safety. "annie no! You can't do this! How will we coexist?" serena wanted to talk her sister out of it, but with one glance she could tell thd conversation was done.

 

Balmore Manor - Dining Room

Mirabelle yanked Rin away from Seth and growled at her, "Don't make things worse. He needs to get rid of her blood in his system. I'm going to take him downstairs, you will draw all the curtains in the house. Seth has had enough sunlight." Immediately, Mirabelle's hatred for humans fired up and she gathered Seth in her arms. "Don't fret Master...we'll go down into the darkness and cold...and you'll feel much better."

Seth cracked his eyes open and glowered at Mirabelle. "You're going to apologize to Rin...and you're going to leave me be. I must be here...for when Valentine comes. It must be made clear he's not welcome in Luin."

Balmore Manor Foyer~

Yuka sighed once everything was clear, "No...this is good enough. Young Master Valentine doesn't venture further into the house than this...unless he choses to follow Seth around."

Luin

Valentine chuckled, "Vampires cannot coexist with werewolves. Let alone with humans in the mix. Now take me to my brother so I can be on my way."

Ceril sighed and took a seat in a chair close by. "so now what? We just wait?"

Annie lead the way, heading in the direction of the church. She was seething with anger. It was like a pot about to start boiling over. "i'm leaving you at the door. You can't make me go in there." this pureblood was vial, hostile, and dangerous. This town wasn't the kind of environment she wanted her little sister to grow up in. they needed to leave. She would get the cavin back on the market immediately, and they would leave the moment it's sold.

Serena had vickie unlock the doors and she climbed in quickly. you do not talk to strangers. We're going home right now. This ridiculous idea of putting you through school is going to have to wait. We could have lost our lives just then. Those kinds of people are dangerous." vickie had enough of being kept in the dark. She was terrified, but spoke up anyway. "what kinds of people?" "we'll talk about it when annie gets home. It's about time you knew."

 

Balmore Manor

Rin was hurrying throughout the mansion and closed all the curtains that were open. She had no idea that what she was doing was actually hurting him. Her hands shaking, she closed all the curtains that she had access to, the last of them being in Seth's bedroom. Afterwards, she hid underneath the covers, panicking in the bed.

Mimi followed Cooke back to her room. She wasn't quite sure what to do now. She faced Cooke, smiling as her own strength was returning from her body. "Can I go play outside," Mimi asked.

 

Balmore Manor - Dining room

Seth pushed himself up, with Mirabelle supporting him as he heard the door practically break itself down. She helped him move through his now darkened home and met Valentine at the door. "Valentine..."

Valentine grinned, he'd completely forgotten about the wolf girl. Yuka cringed in the corner as Valentine waltzed in his brother's home. It was darker than he remembered. "Brother...you look older than I remember. Might I have come at a bad time?" Seth sighed shakily, "No, whenever you come it's a bad time. You make Yuka nervous and you generally irritate me.

 

Balmore Manor Second Floor Hallway~~

Mimi had decided to go ahead and explore the mansion. She first passed by her Sire's room, where she saw the woman from earlier. At first sight, she wanted to take some of her blood, but she remembered the way Seth looked at the girl. Mimi decided to leave the girl alone and continued exploring. As she passed by the staircase, she loomed over the balcony. She saw a strange man standing next to her Sire; the presence he gave off made her feel scared. She wanted to help Seth but fear kept her from moving.

 

Balmore Manor Foyer

Seth sighed and cleared his throat. "You have to see...I am older than you by several years. Why have you decided to show your...ugly mug here in my home this afternoon?" Valentine set a perfectly sculpted hand on his brother's shoulder, "Trust me...if I could say I decided this...I'd go eat grass because it upsets my stomach. Father called me...said you were keeping a human...and that I should remind you why you can't have human consorts. You break things." Seth snarled, "That's you that breaks things...and I have no human consort. That was twenty years ago! Father is behind on his information. Now get out of my house, Valentine!"
