Balmore Manor - Seth's Room~

Seth smiled warmly and stood. "I'll do my best, Rin. Just remember...according to all the humans in this town, I'm the descendent of the founder of this town....which was me." He flicked his hair out of his eyes, he needed it cut soon. For one that never aged, his hair liked to grow continually. Tilting his head, Seth paused in drawing on a clean pair of pants.

Balmore Manor Foyer~

Yuka released the phone and turned a terrified gaze to Ceril, "Y-young master Valentine is coming for a reunion visit later today...." her voice shook and a deep chuckle sounded from the reciever lying dangling by it's cord inches away from the floor. "S-someone...tell Seth..."

Ceril quickly grabbed the phone and hung it up. She set her hands on yuka's shoulders, directimg her towards a chair. "yuka sit down. I'll go inform master balmore. Just breathe. I mean...or pretend to I guess." ceril left yuka behind as she hurried to seth's room. "master balmore! Master balmore are you in there? It's ceril. I have an important message from lady yuka." she quickly knocked on his door. "it's about master valentine."

Rin became aware of how much she had sweat during the night. She wasn't sure if Seth could smell her scent, but she didn't want to take the risk. Crawling out of bed, Rin danced to the bathroom. She decided to run a warm shower, but the moment she got into the bathroom she paused. It was much more elegant than the one at the orphanage. It was also very spacious. Looking at the shower knobs, she was confused by how modernized it was. Taking a minute to figure it out, she spent around ten minutes in the shower. It was only then that she realized something very important.

"Hey; is anyone out there that can get me a towel?!"

Seth yanked open the door, only half dressed, his face a stone mask, "What about Valentine?" He only half gave his attention to Rin's cries for a towel, "One second, Rin!" Giving his attention to Ceril, he hadn't even noticed the change in his own eyes. From dark brown all the way to burning crimson at the single mention of Valentine's name. "What has he done?"

Serena walked outside and over to vickie. "come on vickie. We're going to get you enrolled in school. Annie can throw a fit all she wants afterwards." she walked over to the prius and watched as her little sister came running excitedly after. Serena started the car and headed for town.

Ceril lost her voice for a moment, seeing hoe angry seth had instantly become. "she um...she said master valentine is coming to visit. Today. Then there was laughter through the receiver." she stood in front of the pureblood nervously.

Rin felt a bit on edge. "Is everything alright?" She didn't like the tone of voice that Seth was speaking in. The urgency in her voice made her feel uneasy. She had such a wonderful morning with Seth too; she didn't want his attitude to be ruined by anything.

Seth lowered his head and anxiously flicked his gaze around on the floor, "No...dammit...thank you for informing me Ceril...please...attend to Yuka, she hates Valentine and fears him. I'll deal with the traitor. Do not open the door for anyone today." he told Ceril and closed the door softly. Seth slipped in the bathroom and wrapped a towel around Rin's shoulders, "Something has come up Rin...I need you to stay close to me as possible." The mirror shattered and he held her against his chest tightly. Purebloods developed a tolerance for their rage, letting it build up and releasing it not in a physical way but mentally by shattering things with a thought. Crushing a handful of the towel at Rin's shoulder, he bunched it up and bit it. How could he not be angry when Valentine...the one Pureblood he hated more than anything was going to visit in broad daylight. The man was annoying and more human than he wanted to admit. And significantly younger than Seth.

 

Balmore Manor Seth's Room

Rin jumped when she heard the glass shatter around her. She quickly obeyed what she said, hanging on tightly to him. Wrapping her arms around Seth, she felt something very different. As things began t break around them, she knew it had to do with Seth's anger. "Seth! Seth!" She clung tightly to him, hoping that he would remember that she was in there with him. "Please, Seth, calm down." She tried to kiss him, hoping that this would help him in some way.

Things stopped shattering and Seth pulled away from her, his eyes still a bright crimson. "Let's get you dressed and enrolled...something to take my mind off things." Leading her out of the bathroom, Seth stood behind her and reached over her shoulder to pull out a cashmiere sweater and a skirt in her size. "Rin...Cooke made you breakfast, even though it's afternoon. She hasn't cooked for humans before so just try to eat her food...it might not be very good."

Balmore Manor - Mimi's room~

Mirabelle pulled Mimi from Johanna's arms and tilted the child's head up. Cooke had given her the blood pack curiously and now watched as Mirabelle poured it down the little girl's throat, coaxing her into a state of wakefullness. "C'mon child...time to open your eyes and see the new world you live in. Then we'll go down and meet your Sire for the first time in your new life."

 

Balmore Manor Seth's Room~~

Rin still wasn't happy about going to school, but she realized that she didn't have much choice. If it helped her keep Seth somewhat sane, then she'd do anything for him. She put on the clothes and looked at herself in the mirror. She couldn't believe that the girl staring at her in the mirror was herself. "Is this some kind of creepy fetish you have? Is that why you're sending me to school?"

Balmore Manor Mimi's Room~~

Mimi felt the small bits of blood hit her tongue. Her mind traces the taste to two different things. The first was the pain she felt whenever she scraped her knee or was cut. The second was the taste of candy. That was what blood was to her now. She didn't feel weak anymore; she didn't feel the least bit sick. Slowly, her eyes were fluttering open, adjusting to the light in the room.

Ceril quickly hurried down the hallway, back to yuka. She took a seat by the terrified vampire and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "yuka? Yuka who is valentine?" ceril was rather concerned. She had never heard of a valentine, and whoever he was managed to shake up the residents of the church.

Serena drove into town. She didn't have a clue as to where the school was. She stopped at the gas station to get directions. "excuse me, i'm looking for the elementary school. Could you help?" the attendant gave her the directions and serena thanked him. She took an extra couple minutes buying snacks and such.
Vickie waited for her sister out in the car. She was excited that she would finally get a chance to start school, but terrified to see annie's reaction when they returned from yown.

Seth chuckled lightly and slid a headband into Rin's hair. "No, no fetish. I'm trying to keep you out of trouble, little lady. And away from Vampire fangs thank you very much. When the time comes...if I feel it...I will be the only one who's fangs will pierce this lovely pale skin." He trailed two fingers down her neck.

Balmore Manor - Mimi's room~

Mirabelle and Cooke leaned forwards and smiled at the child. "Well, g'mornin'. I'm bettin' you want to see your Sire right about now. Typical...all of em do.."

Balmore Manor Foyer~

Yuka trembled and gripped her hands together, "Master...Valentine...is Seth's younger brother. Valentine Balmore, is a monster of a man... He's the one who turned me...and probably so many others... I don't remember a thing...but he always visits sooner or later...after he's broken out of prison....and he'll come here...and he'll take everything from me...again."

A man with bright blond hair and shining crimson eyes leaned down and knocked on the window of a car, watching the little girl (Vickie) inside carefully. He relished werewolf scent and it lingered all over this child.

 

Balmore Manor Seth's Room~~

Rin liked the sound of that. She felt as if she were growing on him. Rin wrapped herself around Seth's arm, being the best pet that she could be. As long as she was pleasing for him, Rin felt like she had nothing to worry about. "So, where's your kitchen. Honestly, I'm a bit anxious too see what a vampire would cook for a human."

Balmore Manor Mimi's Room~~

Johanna let out a sigh of relief as Mimi sat up in the bed. It was a sight that she had never been used to seeing. Usually, at the hospital, when someone in her condition was put on a bed,they would never get up again. She smiled at the little girl, who seemed to want to explore her sourroundings.

Mimi felt really good. She could feel that her sickness had gone completely away. All of this pent up energy was going through her veins. She didn't know what Cooke meant by "sire" though. "I guess so. Are we going to go far?" Mimi had hoped so. For a long time, she had wanted to go on a nice walk outside.

 

Balmore Manor - Seth's room~

Seth led Rin out of his room and started down the stairs. He hummed an old, old song and shuffled Rin into Cooke's little area she called a 'dining room' where they'd eat if they were human. She'd set out bacon and eggs easy side up and a glass of orange juice...along with plates full of different foods from different cultures. Seth made a face at the scents, "Gross.....and you actually eat this stuff?"

Balmore Manor - Mimi's room~

Mirabelle shook her head and helped the girl stand, "Master Balmore, your Sire is downstairs at the moment. You'll know him when you see him. Each vampire bitten and turned by their Sire has a connection like father to daughter. If you go to long without seeing him before your first century is up, it becomes painful. Master Balmore is easy to find though. Cooke has a connection with him too so I'm sure you two will be good friends. Well..are you ready to meet him?"

 

Balmore Manor Dining Room~~

Rin sat down at the table, examining the food. It at least looked as if it was cooked just right, even though the bacon looked a little bit burnt. She took a bit of the eggs and placed them in her mouth. It was good; not great, but it certainly was eatable, and much better than the stuff that they were given at the orphanage. "Hush you. This stuff helps me provide you with more blood, right? Let me enjoy my meal so you can enjoy yours."

Balmore Manor Mimi's Room

Mimi slowly nodded. When she heard the "father/daughter" connection, she felt uneasy. She remembered her actual father, and how he and her mother left her behind at the hospital. She wasn't quite in the mood to meet with someone she would see as her father. "W-who's cooke?"

Vickie looked up at the man cheerfully. She pushed the button for the window to roll down and greeted him."hello! It's a lovely day isn't it?" serena looked out the gas station window when she caught the odor of vampire. She noticed it was particularly strong, like when they were greeted in the hospital and it could only be that of a pureblood. When she saw the man standing outside of the prius talking to vickie, she dropped what was in her arms. Serena's heart started racing and she ran out the door, hands shaking. "i don't know what you think you're doing, but you better step away from that car right now! I'm not afraid to make a scene and disturb your little town's peace!" she stopped at the side of the car and looked down at vickie sternly. Vickie could tell she was in trouble, but all she was trying to do was be friendly. "vickie roll up the window and lock the doors now!" the little girl did as she was told, but didn't understand what was going on.

Annie woke to find serena and vickie gone. She quickly changed and started running for town. After what happened yesterday, she didn't want her sisters going anywhere.

Ceril grew more concerned than before. "yuka what do you mean again? What has he done to you? Other then infect you?" she didn't understand what everyone was so afraid of. "i thought you said the pureblood that changed you died in the purge." everything was becoming rather complicated. She wished that she had just faced the sun and gone home when it was still just rising.

 

Balmore Manor - Dining room

Seth closed his mouth and watched her eat. He picked up an apple and examined it. At least it didn't give off such an awful scent. It smelt like nature. Trying to bite into it, Seth found it incredibly awkward. His fangs pierced it first and it reminded him of biting a human as apple juices dripped into his mouth. He hadn't eaten real food since a few hundred years ago. Around when Cooke had been turned.

Balmore Manor - Mimi's room

Cooke waved, biting on a sucker and winked at her, "That'd be me, kiddo. Seth's our onii-chan, but he's a good example for a dad too...I guess... If you like fathers that drink blood, coffee and sometimes when they're half asleep forget which is which. You'll like him when you meet him. Everyone turned by him does. Be it instinct or the natural order of things...or that he's just that awesome of a guy...it's cool." Cooke's country twang made her sound strange for a Vampire dressed in striped purple stockings and a purple dress with equally purple spiky hair.

 

Balmore Manor Dining Room

Rin had finished up with the eggs and moved on to the bacon. She couldn't believe how hungry she was. The food was okay, but it was probably the best food she had ever tasted. With food in her mouth, she giggled when she saw Seth bite into the apple. "'Ou gonna 'inish dat," Rin asked him, her mouth still full of food.

Balmore Manor Mimi's Room~~

She walked over to look at Cooke. Mimi wasn't quite sure how to feel about a father. She reached for Mirabelle's hand looking for comfort. Mimi could clearly remember her from last night. She was the one who took care of her when Johanna needed to go away for a little while. "You'll come too, right?"

 

Balmore Manor - dining room

Seth wiped a bit of egg off of Rin's cheek and tossed the apple into the air, catching it again, "Yes. Do not speak with your mouth full. A lady of your stature now, needs to be proper." He chuckled at the thought of Rin dressed up in fancy dresses posing as Seth's human consort. It was hilarious really.

Balmore Manor - Mimi's room

Mirabelle nodded and led the child out of her room with Cooke on their heels. "Now when meeting your Sire, be sure to be polite. I'm sure the natural reaction to embrace him would take over but do remember, Master Balmore is not used to embracing others. He's quite solitary. I'll be there the whole time, but you'll come to want to be around him all the time. Don't be afraid. He's a gentle man." Mirabelle knocked softly and pushed open the dining room doors. She giggled a bit, suppressing the full laugh at the sight of him actually cutting up an apple now and eating it bit by bit.

Yuka trembled and bowed her head, "I apologize for lying to you Lady Ceril... I tell everyone that because he's a monster. I do not wish to associate myself with him ever... If only he had died in the Purge like he was supposed to...nothing would be like this."

The blond man tilted his head, smiling sweetly at Vickie before Serena shoved herself between him and the girl. "You truly believe I'm just going to walk away from such a delightful girl? And the mear thought of you and a metal door being the only things in my way make me feel...cozy." He reached around Serena and tapped the hood of the car with his knuckle, "This...would pose as only a second's problem in getting inside." He tugged on the lapels of his coat and sneered, "My town? Oh no dear...New York is my lady...not Luin. I couldn't care less about the peace in this pathetic excuse for a town. The fact that I see werewolves standing before me makes me sick. My brother has done a poor job in providing vampires with a peaceful place to gather."

 

Balmore Manor Dining Room~~

Rin groaned as she swollowed everything that was in her mouth. She then looked at him with a questionable kind of stare. "What are you thinking about now, pervert?" While reaching for the orange juice, she saw Mirabelle enter the dining room with Mimi. Rin, however, had never met any of these girls in her life. She could tell though that the two of them were vampires; they gave off somewhat of a similar aura that Seth did. For security, she clutched onto Seth's waist.

Mimi's eyes were first locked on the food on the table. Normally, her mouth would water at such a sight. Now, she couldn't even stand the smell of the eggs in the air. She then looked over at Seth. Mimi followed her initial reaction and hid behind Mirabelle's legs. Peering through her right side, she looked at him again. He seemed like a smart man in her eyes, and also very caring. However, she didn't feel like she could approach him.
