In the world of Crania, two species coexist: The human races and the species known as Bloodlusters. Bloodlusters' were name given to them because they survive off the blood of other species instead of water. During the Dark Ages that occurred over five hundred years ago, the two racess fought for who would become the dominant life form. Many battles took place during the war. The human race outnumbered the Bloodlusters by many numbers. The humans reproduced like animals, managing to have a 3 to 1 advantage over Bloodlusters . Bloodlusters were a savage race however. A Bloodluster was basically human, but they had a unique ability to change one characteristic of their physical body. Some had abilities like converting their bones into steel making them more durable. Others could manipulate their blood to move much quicker, allowing for faster regeneration. After all the fighting, the Bloodlusters became victorious and claimed victory over the country.

The general of the Bloodlusters became King of the entire country and declared that it be law that Bloodlusters and humans are to be equals. Discrimination would not be tolerable. It has been two hundred years since the end of the great war and now there is a new king. He has declared that the peace between the two races should be destroyed completely. This Bloodluster has a unique trait, he can not die naturally and will not age. His original ability was that of not being able to naturally die, however, he drank his own brothers blood which was the ability to manipulate his age. His name is Morakai and he will try and enslave all the human race.

~There are three Crystals that allows a person to be restricted of their exertion. Find the gem, gain intense power. These crystal are the Crystal of Eons located in the Eon Caves, Crystal of Life located around the Poisoned Abyss, and Crystal of Mystery located somewhere in the Frozen Tundra. It is said that three Bloodlust deities guard each crystal. Only those who appear worthy are aloud to acquire such a power. This was the legend behind them. It may not be true for no one has succeeded in acquiring any of the crystals.~

Now comes a time where another war is inevitable. Some Bloodlusters want peace, others want to join together to end this peace. The time is for you to choose. Will you choose to fight for everyone's freedom, or will you fight for the sake of yourself?

    The Rules
No godmoding: We do not want anyone to be overpowered
    Respect other people
No killing unless discussed with me and the member you are killing. You may kill individuals who are NPCs obviously.
    ~You can choose up to 2 characters~
No foul language or sexual innuendos.
    Use correct grammar.
    Obey the RP rules
More than three lines of posting.

I have three special parts for anyone who is wants to be more than just two characters. They are a group of triplets. Each has a unique ability to manipulate there molecular state. One can make his entire body into stone. The other two would be liquid and gas. If they are not taken, I will take the responsibility to use them myself.

    Bloodlusters facts

Bloodlusters are always born with a twin brother ~or sister~.
Bloodlusters can mate with human females. If this is the case, the women will die. ~For women Bloodlust who have childbirth, their life span is cut in half~
~Big rule change~ you may be a female Bloodluster now.

Now humans have some specialties about them depending on where they are born. The world consists of three major cities and and each city allows a specific trait. These three areas are known as City Within the Sand (humans are more durable), City Above the Sea, (humans have more strength), and City Under the Mountains (humans are much quicker).

This is the World of Crania

    Details on this world:

    City Above the Sea
This is home to many of the world's strongest individuals. Made up of many island within a lake surrounded by the forest, it is hard to see why not. Moving from location to location would increase ones strength immensely.

    City Under the Mountain
This is the land to many of the quickest individuals. It is also home to many of the the world's greatest skill masters. Those who live here are often trained in the arts of archery or knife throwing. Agility is a big part of this cities survival.

    City Within the Sand
The city is placed within the harsh desert. It is a somewhat paradise however. A river going right through it provides much comfort to those who live in this wasteland. Individuals here are known to be very durable. With constant sandstorms and other disasters, this increases their durability as well.

    Frozen Tundra
This is the frozen area of the country. There is very little out in this place but may contain secrets to those who are willing to explore this great ice land.

    Frozen Fortress
This Fortress is just before the Frozen Tundra. This Fortress was built for those who needed to rest before adventure. That has been revoked however. Bloodluster bandits have taken control of this landmark. They kill anyone in range around the Fortress.

    Battle of Blood
This was the battleground for the start of the war. This was the locaation where many Bloodlusters had died to human attacks. The name was given from all the blood that was spilled that day.

    Abandoned City
This city was once known as The City Among the Plains. A strange occurence happened however, causing many civilians to have died. The city has been abandoned and many treasures still remain. Those who are willing to pass the poisoning fumes in the air may be able to acquire these artifacts. None have succeeded so far.

    Poisoned Abyss
This area of water use to be pleasant and contained many wild and exotic creatures. An odd disturbance occurred, poisoning the area around. The islands submerged in this toxic waste are said to hold many secrets to Crania's past.

    Forest of Nerves
This large and vast forest is dark and mysterious. Many who enter eventually go insane. It is said that only those who were born in the City Above the Sea have the ability to maneuver through this forest while keeping their sanity.

    Great Plains
Not much occurs here. It is a very open area filled with beasts who feed on its grasses. It is really the only area unscathed by the war.

    Final Battleground
The battle that ended the war occurred here. The bloodlusters took Crania for there own and the General was crowned king of the land at the center of the grounds.

    Tree of Ages
This tree has mysterious abilities. Those who eat its bark are said to never go hungry for a month. Its leaves can cure any injury. The only problem however, the tree is surrounded by deadly and viscous creatures. It is a very unsafe terrain.

    Forbidden Swamp
the swamp is known to be forbidden due to the fact that those who enter it, never come out. It is said a large beast lives in this area and feeds on those who enter it. None know for certain however.

    Battle of Broken Bones
This battle zone was the arena to where the tides of war changed. Many humans were slaughtered at this site. Bloodlusters were beginning to gain victory more often.

    Eon Caves
These caves contain many rare minerals that are worth a great deal of money. They are very hard to get to and back. The large desert makes many die from dehydration. Creatures named Sols live here. They are harmless though.

    Immunity Island and Morakai Castle
This is the homeland to the new King of Crania. This island was discovered right before the war. The current King of the land chose to build his home there. After the war, Morakai took over and claimed the land as his own.

OOC: Now to allow the story to begin

Emi took her sword and placed back into her sheath. She had just slayed a group of rabbits for her dinner that night. It was night and she had set up her camp. "May you be blessed little ones." She said before taking a bite out of the rabbits leg. The taste of the rabbit had filled her system with energy and warmth. It would be a long night before she had to move out again. Her destination was City Within the Sand. It was a long journey to the city though. She needed to obtain one of the three crystals to help her to kill the king and create peace. The Crystal of Eons would be to the south of the city. After that she would need to acquire the Crystal of Life at the Poisoned Abyss and the Crystal of Mystery at the Frozen Tundra. Emi was hoping for others that may share her thoughts to save the land. Until then, she would rest to wait until the morning.

A slight breeze that traveled swiftly across the Great Plains caused Jean to grasp her skinny arms and bring her knees closer to her body. The night was dark and without the sunlight, it was getting a little colder. She had taken shelter near a herd of cattle, simply sitting on the ground of the vast plains that surrounded her. She remained cautious not to get too close to the creatures and scare them off. She didn't want her alarm system to go run off without her. Yes, her alarm system. It was a smart move in her part, if danger came by - the cattle would take off and this would be her cue to get lost as well. Also, if they were still there in the morning, she'd gladly kill a calf for something to eat.

    'Something to eat.'

Her stomach grumbled slightly as the thought of some food lingered in her thoughts. A small sigh escaped her pink lips as she squeezed her arms more - enough to dig her nails into her skin and reminded herself, "You're not hungry. You're not hungry at all. You've just had a feast." Of course, this was a lie. Normally, she was not one to eat plenty but she was still human. She had some lunch earlier - just two rabbits she managed to catch, which was amazing since there were not plenty rabbits in the Great Plains. Not to mention she had gobbled up two, which indeed was a feast on itself.

She shut her eyes and felt her long lashes graze her skin as she put her head to her knees. Jean knew she had to get out of the Great Plains some time soon. She had been there for too long, and she was almost near the clearing of the Forest of Nerves. Her main goal at the moment was to travel to the City Above the Sea but she knew she could not pass the faster route through the Forest of Nerves. She had heard many tales of the forest and feared they were true. She had come up with a plan to pass through the Great Plains, go completely past the Forest of Nerves and through the small entrance into the water that surrounded the grand city with the hopes of having a slight change to her life. The City Above the Sea held the more powerful individuals and she knew she could learn a thing or two aside from her great skill in throwing the knives that lay beside her and glistened in the moonlight.

She lifted her head up from her knees and turned to her right, opening her eyes and looking at what stood from far away. The City Above the Sea, she could not lay her eyes on them, but she knew it was waiting for her and she knew that she very much needed them if that meant surviving a while longer and standing a chance to the Bloodlusters that might surprisingly pop into her life. She knew she had to move - and she had to move soon. However, rest was what she knew she needed now and with that thought in mind, she lay her lanky body down on the ground and shut her eyes once again.

'Tomorrow will be the day I officially make my way to the City Above the Sea. Yes, tomorrow. Oh, I really hope I don't get killed.'

It was hot as always. Everyday it was hot. To an foreigner not used to the heat, they wouldn't survive past the second day. But for the residents of the City Within the Sands, they were born and raised in the heat. It was as natural to them as gravity. The cold that came at night wasn't all that bad. It was actually quite refreshing and if anything work heavy needed to be done, the people would tend to do them at night preferably with a bright moon lighting the night. During the day, most of the people tended to laze around unless absolutely necessary. It was too hot to do much of anything. Though of course the important things like market shopping still happened. Most times being under so many sheets to make shady places would alleviate much of the heat.

Here, in the market was where Angel currently was. "'Go and buy some bread, fruit and honey!' she says. 'We're running out! With the leftover money you can get whatever it is you want!' she says," muttered Angel annoyed under her breath. "As if there'd be anything left that I could even spend," she huffed. The prices of food were rising. They were inflating most likely due to the trying times ahead. As isolated as the City was, not even they were exempt from the news of the new Bloodluster ruler. People were getting nervous. Even humans who were good friends with some Bloodlusters were starting to act differently with them. Trying to win favor. Angel sighed in sadness.

Having arrived at the designated stall with the lowest prices of fruits, she greeted the Bloodluster seller who had become a family friend. "Hey there. So...this is the lowest price possible?" Angel asked questionably. He affirmed. Well great, at this rate I'll barely be able to even buy a snack for myself. she thought depressingly. Still, supplies were supplies, and the family needed them dearly. After buying all that they needed, Angel was left with barely anything left. And I had wanted to get a new weapon too. This stick that I fashioned out of a dead tree is about to break if I get attacked one more time. she sighed and went on her way. As she approached the inner city gates, Angel readied her weapon. She nodded at the guards to open them for her as she stepped out and headed towards the lot in the distance that was their family home. All that lay between her and home was sand.

As Zeek moved the market area he thought about what he was going to do next. This city held nothing but bad memories to him and he wanted to get away from them as quickly as possible. The problem was that it would take days to reach the next city and he didn't have any supplies that would last him. Even his powers had their limits so he couldn't rely on them forever. If I can get some supplies then all I'll need to get is my weapon then I'm all set. He thought as he continued to walk through the market.

OOC: Still trying to get villains and good Bloodlusters.

Emi had awaken to an overcast morning. The wind blew across her face causing her to shiver. She wasn't well clothed for this weather condition. She was just south of the Frozen Tundra and it was almost winter. The cold weather was perfectly natural. She wasn't very rich, but she needed some warm clothing for the future ahead of her. She chose to journey south to the City Above the Sea. The forest was dangerous, however. She would need to gather all of her strength to navigate through it.

She rushed into the Forest of Nerves. Her first priority was to find the river that would lead to the giant lake that surrounded the small island chain. She walked for some time and found the river that would lead her to the sea. She walked aside the river when she had suddenly tripped over a log, impaling her knee with a branch she had landed on. The pain was excruciating. She began to cry. It was a long time before she had showed any tears. The blood from her tears slid across her face, dripping onto her open wound. She quickly pulled out the stick within her leg to allow her Bloosluster ability to take full effect. After the tears were spread around, her wound had healed. She began to sit and rest for some time until she would once again move out.

After a long day of searching for supplies, Zeek was glad when he had gotten everything he needed. He stood right in front of the city gates and took a final look back. "Time to leave all those bad experiences behind." Without taking another look back he left his hometown and headed into the sand. While he didn't now exactly where he was going, he had a general idea. It was a complete change in scenery than he was use to. Fortunately for him, all those years living int he City Within the Sand he'd adapted to the temperatures of the desert.

Elias rode through the plains in the large truck that had picked him up. In the passenger seat, he sat there sharpening the large knife he usually kept concealed in his jacket. He had assured the man that he had no intentions of using it on him, but the guy was clearly still nervous. She was close. He could feel it. Those children would be his soon enough, no matter what it took. Elias had been searching for months, missing work like crazy. The army could wait, however, until he found his unborn children. They wouldn't be raised by some weak human girl. They're Bloodlusters and should be raised by one.

Nichole sifted through some food in the market. The City in the Sand was much hotter than she was used too and ghe food appeared to be rather dry. She had only been there a few weeks and really hated it. Lucky, Nichole had managed to find some work as a nanny for fellow human family. They took pity on her and her sad story. The months since she left home have been anything but easy. A pregnancy was tiresome to begin with, but being a human pregnant with Bloodlusters on the run, was torture. She didn't know how much longer she could keep it up.

Treading briskly but carefully through the sand, Angel tried not to disturb much of the sand beneath her feet. The local scorpions were pretty huge, and after having been stung so much as a kid, Angel's body eventually became immune developing specific antibodies to combat the venom. Still, getting pinched was a pain and she'd rather not ahve to go through that. Though even she could see that her makeshift stick weapon could probably maybe protect only one direct hit. Thus, she hoped they wouldn't suddenly sense the vibrations of her walking so she could get home safely with her supplies. Angel wondered how they could even be that sensitive as she would assume that the shifting sands didn't allow for much echolocation or whatever device the creatures used.

It was just as she was pondering this that her foot kicked over a small sand pile, sending small pebbles and the whole pile rolling out. Immediately, she turned around and sprinted as best as she could, her feet always staying on top of the small sand dunes made by the wind, skilled enough not to trip on them as a large scorpion came up out of the sand near where she had kicked. Luckily the guards were ready for her and had the gate open. Looks like they didn't quite trust her ability to defend herself with a stick. She was glad for that, as she ran through it and back into the main city. Panting heavily along with some coughing before heaving a sigh, Angel straightened up and thanked the guards. She checked her sack to make sure her supplies were in order before wondering what to do. If only I had a real weapon. And they weren't overpriced. Unbelievably the sale of weapons was also getting inflated, as there seemed to be some sort of idea that they'd be in high demand. I guess war's inevitable at this rate. Sighing again, she went up to a guard. "Do you have a spare sword? Or a spear? Or anything really? I need to get home, and I really can defend myself, but I just need a decent weapon. Please? Do you have anything?" she asked somewhat desperately.

But of course they didn't. If they had, they'd have sold it off for some extra money. It would've been what she, herself would have done if she was allowed to be a soldier. It was a law. A bit of a strange law really, as most of the men around here could easily tell that most of the women were equally as tough and durable as they, if not more. Well having a job would be even more work. Just living here is like a job in and of itself. Angel was sure in a fix. She didn't know how she was going to be able to get back home with these needed supplies with only a stick to defend herself with.

Elias moved through the plains quickly. The extra strength provided him with more stamina, even if it didn't allow him to run faster. The desert was within sight, but it would still take another day's time to get there by foot.
He didn't mind. She wouldn't be getting far and it gave him time to come up with a strategy. He would have to figure out what to do with the human for the next five months until she had the babies. The pregnancy wasn't even half over yet, so the Bloodluster was a little disappointed that the chase would be ending so soon. He would have to keep her locked up somewhere so that he could return to work in the army. He couldn't just let her run free while he was busy earning the necessary money to raise to children. After they're born, then he'll dispose of her. She would only become a liability once they were no longer within her.

Elias couldn't help but wonder if Bloodlust childbirth took the same affect on human women as it did on Bloodlust women. Would her life be shortened? He didn't know, or really care. It wasn't about her, just the babies. He swung the thick bag off his shoulder and dropped it on the ground under a tree. Elias would have to set up camp for the night. There was a hunger growing inside of him that needed to be dealt with. After laying out a mat, he pulled out one of his many knives and decided to go hunting.

Nichole looked up from her cloth bag, hearing some girl beg for weapons. She had one, but it wasn't a great one. It wasn't even technically hers. The family she was looking after provided her with it, in case there was an emergency. She needed it to defend herself from him, but if it came down to that point, it would already be too late. He was too strong to fight off with a simple knife and if he was here, that meant there was no more time to run. Nichole would be trapped. She pulled the blade out from the bottom of her grocery bag and walked over to the girl badgering the guards. "Excuse me," she set a hand on the girl's shoulder and held the knife out to her, "would this help at all? I don't really need it, so if you can find a use for it then it's all yours. No reason to let it go to waste." She waved it slowly in the girl's face so that she could get a good look at it. Nichole felt one of the babies kick slightly and winced in pain. They were strong, like him. One little kick felt like someone was punching her in the waist. There were even a bruises from a few of the kicks.

Angel turned around and looked at the pregnant woman before her. She was quite far along. She looked at the knife she held before but raised an eyebrow and took a step back when she started waving it around. What the...? However, she was not a fan of knives, as she preferred weapons with a larger spread. Angel liked to keep her distance. However, it did look slightly more sturdy than her stick. And it WAS a free weapon. It was then her focus shifted from the moving blade to the face of the woman. At that moment, she had winced in pain. "Are you all right, miss? You look like- well, you don't look so well. Are you sure about this?" Angel walked a bit closer and helped guide her to a nearby set of stairs to sit down.

Nichole forced a smile through the pain and clutched her stomach. The twins had been getting very restless lately and the health care out here wasn't exactly the same as back home. She pursed her lips and nodded as she sat down on the steps. "Y-yeah I insist. If it ever comes to the point that I need it, it'll be too late. If you can find a use for it, I'll be more than happy to let you have it. As for the twins...well, they're out of my control." She sighed and smiled at the girl appreciatively. She was thankful for her help to sit down. The heat was taking a toll on her and made Nichole dizzy more frequently. "I'm Nichole by the way." She wiped a bead of sweat from her forehead. She was going to need some more water soon, without it the children would drain her into exhaustion.

Zachery used his sword to cut some vines in his way. This forest was getting on his last nerve which is why they named it the forest of nerves. They said people have gone insane in this forest and now Zachery beveled it. "I faced worst then a forest." he said to himself. He came to far to lose now, it was only a matter of time until all 3 crystals were his. Once he had one he could just order Morakai to leave and never come back but with all 3 he could control everyone. He hated being Morakai errand boy and being talked down to. "This journey will soon be worth it" He sat on a large root and closed his eyes for a moment. He had a feeling he wasn't alone here.
    ------------
Taylor ran through the forbidden swamp scared as he could be. He wasn't the brave twin that was Zachery. Morakai praised Zachery for his ability while he called Taylor's ability useless. There were many Bloodlusters that could heal themselves but if Taylor could find a crystal his powers would be unique. He kept moving hoping he wouldn't run in to the monster that was suppose to live here .... or worst his brother.

Emi had just begun resting. Her wound was now completely better and she could now move out to locate the river. Before doing so though, she could here a man cutting vines in the distance. It had been quite some time since she had seen anyone that could keep her company. She went to go investigate. She saw a tall man resting on a large root. Her mind was racing. Do I go and say hello? N-no, he might be a Bloodluster working for Morakai. She grew the nerves to walk out and approach the man. "H-hello, sir. What is a man like yourself doing in the f-forest?"

Zachery looked at the girl she seemed scared. She had white hair and red eyes. She couldn't be much younger then him but her eyes told him she was only a child. He smiled "Hello there my dear, my name is Zachery." He set his sword on the ground. "I'm just a traveler passing through. How about you?" It didn't matter if she was human or a bloodluster he didn't think he would need to use his ability. She seems like a ordinary scared girl and he wondered why she was here.

The man talked smoothly, almost comforting. She had no fear of him whatsoever anymore. "My name is Emi. It is a pleasure to meet you. I am traveling to get to the city south of here to prepare for my journey. You see, I am gathering some very rare crystals. There is apparently only 3 in existence." She felt calm. This may have been because she hadn't seen or talked to anyone in a good long while. There was still some worry though.

The raven haired lady looked blankly at her reflection in the water. She had made it. There, in front of her was the City Above the Sea. Just a distance that was engulfed by water separated her form it. She breathed heavily, clearly exhausted by her travels. She fell to her knees onto the ground below her, plunging her hands to the edges of the land and into the water that she knew she had to get into in a while. But for just a moment, she wanted to get some rest and give her time to congratulate herself for getting so far. Possibly in an amount of time that she wished she could improve but at least she was there.

"Just... a little further..." she breathed, and with that she regained her energy and prepared for her swim. She sat on her heels and grabbed one of her throwing knives to arm herself just in case. She heard that there was nothing to fear of the waters but Jean was prepared for whatever she would have to face. Gripping the throwing knife she now held in her right hand, she submerged herself into the waters. It was like a burst of coolness rushed through her body - it was so refreshing, and so nice. However, after a moment of serenity and calmness, the determined female narrowed her eyebrows and began to swim towards her destination.

Her stomach grumbled, her legs screamed to be motionless, and her arms were aching - but Jean pushed all of these aside and continued to make her way to the city. She could rest when she gets there. Jean quickly glanced up at the sky, the cold waters were great right now but if she wasn't dry by nightfall she knew that could be the end to her exhausted being. It would get to cold and she would freeze - one of the ways she definitely did not want it to end. She would rather die trying to fight off a monster or something heroic like that, just to keep her sanity.

Her long limbs continued to push against the liquids she was surrounded by. Her eyes witnessed the city slowly inching closer to her. Then, she quickly looks back at the forest of nerves. A place she had never been and never really liked to be in, that made her cheer up a bit. The thought of not being in that forest. She knew she wouldn't be anywhere near the City Above Sea if she had taken that road, in fact against all odds of her tired body, it made her smile even.

'Good luck to any of the souls who had the guts to try.'

Haruka took in a long breath, feeling the scent on the lake wash through his nostrils as he laid back against the grass. It was times like this were he felt much at peace regardless of all the hardship his life had brought upon him during the years after being orphaned along with his sister. He closed his eyes for a moment, turning slowing onto his side as the last of the suns rays hit his skin. The heat was always kind to him and he loved the simple warmth that remained as the sun set. He opened his eyes, looking out into the horizon and seeing the sun had more than halfway disappeared. 'We should be getting home soon.' Letting out a sigh, he sat up, looking back to his sister who sat against one of the trees. "Oi, Sora. I think it's time we got home. It's not good if we stay out here too long. Who knows who could be lurking around here at night."

Sora held her bunny close to her, her face annoyed by the fact that they had to end the training early with her illness kicking in at the worse time. It had become more of a bother than it normally was and she didn't know how much longer she could take it interfering with important matters such and building up her strength. Eventually, she turned to look back at Haruka, glaring just a bit at him comment. "What? Do you believe we are not strong enough to defend ourselves against a few thugs looking to pick a fight? We've dealt with much stronger foes than the ones lounging about here." She looked at him more intently, squeezing her bunny against her body. "Or is it that you believe me to be a weak link just because my body failed me for a moment?"

"That's not it at all. Stay calm." Haruka sighed, placing his hand to his forehead in disbelief at his sister's jump to conclusions. "I just thought it seemed nice to get home early for once and enjoy a nice dinner. It's been a while since we've both had a good meal." He did his best to assure her of this, not being sure that he could handle another argument tonight, mostly with her bickering on and him just listening before she stormed into her room. "What do you say?"

"I say we wouldn't have to feel so weak if you allowed us to drink human blood once in a while rather than that wretched animal blood you keep forcing." Sora replied bluntly, turning away from him and relaxing herself. However, she remained alert of her surroundings, being sure no one tried to sneak attack them like they have tried before.

"Enough with that. You're not feeding off a human so just drop it already." Haruka stood up, cleaning himself off and walking over to her. He stared down at her for a moment, examining her before extending his hand out. "Come on. It'll be getting cold soon. You wouldn't want to get more ill now."

That hit a nerve for Sora but she let it slide, slapping his hand away and getting up on her own. "Fine. We'll go." Without another word, she began walking away, making her way back to the road that lead to home. However, a small blush appeared on her otherwise pouty face, as the last of the sun disappeared.

Haruka watched her before smiling, shaking his head and giving out a small chuckle. 'I don't know what I'm going to do with her sometimes.' He soon followed after her, feeling glad to finally be able to make it home for a real meal, that of course he would have to prepare. But nonetheless, he was happy and with his sister, the only thing that mattered to him.
