20 hours into the game. This is my Game of the Year.

I mean, probably. Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain and Batman Arkham Knight each has a chance still, but DAMN will it be tough to beat Bloodborne. It's just so well designed in every way: the combat in its speed and strategizing on the fly, the aesthetic of the world and creatures and weapons and outfits, the music and sound effects, the atmosphere (in an action-adventure game what?) and the shortcut pron.

I LOVE the game Bloodborne. It's amazing how From Software pulls the rug right under us and realize the sudden change in the game. This is easily by far the best game I have played this year. I'm only about halfway in, yet it has already sucked me in. Boss fights are epic, the OST is AWESOME, game is tough as nails, and the game keeps throwing hoops and switches on me, never leaving a dull moment. I would love to talk more about this game, but the game is so enriched with lore, it's hard without spoiling anything.

If someone needs a reason to buy a PS4, this game would be it. Even someone like me who is not a fan of From Software games and has poor patience skills, I strogly recommend this game to any PS4 user.

I really enjoyed the gritty, bloody theme of the game, (it's called Bloodborne, so that's a given). I got really frustrated with the lack of summoning and beckoning instructions early in the game, though. Yes it was eureka when I finally got it, but the mystery and enigma surrounding it wasn't necessarily needed. I enjoy that far more in the story than in the multiplayer part, especially for a few bosses where I really needed an adult.

I haven't beat it, being that my boyfriend spoiled everything, and I got frustrated over one level and haven't returned, but the fighting system, weapons and outfits, and even the enemies will definitely have me returning to it at some point in the future.

If there's any complaint I have about the game, it's that some of the optional paths are VERY obscure. I had to have a friend tell me that, somehow, I've missed three bosses, and hearing him try to explain how to reach one...really shows that, while I generally love the enigmatic tone and method of storytelling in the game, they need to leave a few more hints if they want even half of the player-base to experience what they've created.

(that and I don't care at all about Chalice Dungeons.)

    DOUBLEPOST:

New patch will include the following:
    • Password matching can now be done regardless of level.
    • Password matching can now be done even if registered to a different oath.
    • Quicksilver bullets and blood vials can now be stored up to 600 (the previous limit was 99) in the storage in Hunter’s Dream.
    • Weapons and hunter tools have been tweaked, it will be mostly buffs.
    • A bug of the Rifle Spear has been fixed.
    • A bug with Blood Gem Imprints has been fixed.
    • Boss rewards in the Chalice Dungeons will be improved, they will now drop blood gems randomly.
    • Chalice dungeons will now include Blood Stone Shards at Depth 1, Twin Blood Stone Shards at Depth 2, Twin Blood Stone Shards and Blood Stone Chunks at Depth 3, Blood Stone Chunks at Depth 4 and Blood Stone Chunks and Blood Rocks at Depth 5.
    • Other bugs have been fixed.
    Dat 600 storage tho.

Awww yis. Now I no longer have to sell my blood and bullets at the limited 99 space

Not sure what the bug for the rifle spear is meaning. Is it the broken as hell Arcane build of the spear that wrecks everyone? Or is it a legit bug?

Super psyched for the expansion. Wondering where the entrance(s) to the DLC will be. Hoping it's the gate of the Great Bridge. Then they can open up that damn shortcut door from Cathedral Ward.
