Square-Enix Blitzball~

Wow! I would sooo sign up! lol We could make our own team! Although I'm not sure how they do it, that's water right? O_o I would drown in a minute even without people tackling me for the ball.

 

I have often wondered about that actually ^^ how do they stay underwater and deal with all that the sport throws at them?

xD I think they would just et used to it through training ^^ Like Yuna can't swim in FFX but by FFX2 she has been practicing enough to be able to play.​

 

Hmm, maybe but I still find it kinda weird I mean, the game is 5 mins long an even with half-time it's split into 2mins 30 seconds.

 

Isn't it 10 minutes long? with a gap after 5 minutes?

^^ well look at how the Russians train their gymnasts, they are taught right from when they are tiny children. Maybe it would be similar with blitzball, in that they have severe training?

Well Yuna was never meant to be a Blitzer, ever since she was a kid, she was more destined for the Summoning job.

Hmm I think actually it is more like how it is in RL some people can swim under water for a long time perfectly well, whereas other's can't. xD I guess Square never expected people to look into that much :P​

True, also I guess they practice deep breathing alot.

lol yea probably not, but just look at this site, almost every day someone finds out something in the game nobody really noticed and everyone goes on a long explaination of it but it truth really I don't think Square Enix really put that much thought into it.

 

:P I know! Though she is a bloody useless! Paine is pretty good xD I HATE that you have no real control over them in FFX2 -___- it sucks majorly, they should have kept the style the same way it was in FFX, but I assume that they wanted Sphere Break to be seen as more important =/

I agree, I think they could have put more thouht into it xD buuuut I love the game so I guess I can ignore the unrealisticness of it, after all they live on a world where they have freakin aeons and ghosts ^^​

 

Yea but like I said, they probably got to many things with people saying it was to hard :/ so they had to change it. That's also a good point, SB was spost to be more important.

Hmm I really don't see how people find it hard, I think if you practice and pay attetnion it is actually very easy.

Oh BTW a good tip for increasing levels etc, this works for me <3

When you have secured the lead, just keep passing the ball between all of your team, that way they ALL get points for being involved, and you can actually gain quote a few if you manage to keep the ball for your team by doing that :noworries:​

 

Yea but some people get turned off trying because it's hard...I sometimes leave games for sometimes up to half a year or more cuz I hate that I can't beat a part.

Hmm that's a good point, but now when I can't get past a bit I just think, "**** it" a lost game can happen ^^ but there will always be other games :P

If I get stressed by a match I lose concentration and can't focus on the game :P I find the pause button helps a lot when it gets frustrating :P

Something else I would recommend is, switching players, so that ALL of the team gets to play at least half a match, otherwise you end up with one very weak player constantly sat out, build them all up and it is much better <3​

It is my favourite game within a game ^^​

 

I can't deside what my favoreit game in a game is, I have about 4 favorites I can think of right now from the FF series

*in no special order*
FFX - Blitz Ball
FF9 - Card Games
FF9 - Fake Sword fighting (in the thearter at the start of the game)
FF9 - Chocobo truesure hunting game

as you can see, I rteally like the FF9 mini games XD

 

Generally I don't like mini games, so in a way it is weird that Blitzball gets to me so much <3 especially when you can see how much they have improved xD and they start becoming clearly stronger ^^​

 

Generally, I hate about 3/4 the mini games I play because their pointless, aren't really planed out and aren't fun. so I kinda know what you mean.

 

I just buy Biggs and Wedge and I never lose a match...
