I don't know if there is a tread for this but in that case it's dead.

I have an obsession with their music, though they are no longer a band.
(Travis Barker and Mark Hoopus formed the band +44 and tom Delonge formed Angels & Airwaves. They basically went different ways because Tom wanted the music to go in another direction).

    But the music still lives.

Discuss pretty much anything regarding Blink 182 etc, in this tread ~

Yeah, they were an awsome band.
But I don't think it would be quite as good if they kept going but wanted in different directions.

Yes true. I never really even listened to +44. Only Angels and Airwaves.

Whats funny, is both those bands sound exactly the same so they went in the same direction.

But either way, I remember when they were a local band playing at local places in my city and back then they were awesome, btu after Enema of the State they started to suck and I stopped caring cause they got all Emo and ghey as feck.

So I liked their stuff before they got crazy big and sold out. Back in the good 'ol days of watching them play at the beach and Soma. Good times.

Well sorta, the are similar yet different IMO.

I actually think they went up and down and not just from up and straight down. They had their ups and downs, but I still think there were some good songs after the Enema of the state.

Well that would be a great feeling, I'd like to experience that. Sadly it isn't going to happen with Blink 182.

I love blink-182 so much. I own Dude Ranch (although it snapped in half before I ripped it. ;-;), Cheshire Cat and Take Off Your Pants and Jacket. Cheshire Cat is my favorite, but I still haven't heard a lot of their stuff. I disagree with the idea that they 'became emo'; I read that they described their last CD to be a "improved and more serious blink".

My favorite by them is probably "Peggy Sue". :3 I really hope they get back together one day; I would love to see them in concert.

And I don't really like Angels and Airwaves, but (+44) is one of my favorite bands.

Blink 182 are the shiz. I love 'Stockholm Syndrome' the most out of all of their songs, and 'Violence', too. <3

I grew up listening to their stuff and to see what they have become is really depressing. And emo maybe isn't the best word so for a lack of a better I will something like....actually mushy would be a good word. Now its love songs but if you listen to old stuff its about one night stands and stuffs. I think they got lost on who they were before which was basicly living in Pacific Beach in a crappy apt. by the beach that cost way to much <------True Story they did live there.

Blink182 was always a great band. I think what made their appeal grow was the fact that they weren't professional at their gigs and they acted normal instead of being uptight ****s like some bands are these days.

I have nearly all of their albums and used to be a blink finatic when they were still together XD

I still listen to Blink-182, and I actually can't stand +44 or Angels and Airwaves. I dunno why.. I've tried to like 'em, but their music just doesn't do it for me. :\

Now as for Blink.. :DD My favourite songs are Dіck Lips, All The Small Things, I Miss You and Down. I usually listen to these four constantly, along with the Enema of the State and blink-182 albums.. sometimes Greatest Hits >_> I remember me and my sister used to listen to I Miss You over and over on repeat as soon as it came out until we knew all the words off by heart xD Still as obsessed with it <3

I loved listening to Blink back in the day, and I still do now. It was a sad day when they broke up. My favorties are "The Rockshow", "Adam's Song", "Dammit", and "Feeling This".
