" No not married just engaged. I'm sorry I didn't tell you before it's just that well, I never wanted to be engaged. I... it was an arranged marrage." She said about to cry.

 

He couldn't take any more of this! This time he was the one who ran off. Or at least he tried to. He accidentallty tripped over the exact same root he tripped over the night before and fell flat on his face again.

 

" Ultimare! Are you ok?" She asked bending down to help him.

 

"Why?" he said, still crying, "Why does this always happen to me! Why is it every time I fall in love with someone, they end up being engaged to someone else! WHY?!?" He beat the ground with his fist

 

" You mean this has happened before?" She asked confused.

 

"Yes." he said "It has." He could remember all of the times perfectly. But, out of all of them, this time hurt the most, this time he actually got to kiss her.

 

" I'm so sorry..." She said tears streaming out of her eyes now. Suddenly a man came up from behind her and pulled her up to her feet by her hair. " Oh how disrespectfull" He said meeting eyes with her. She stared at him horrified. Then he slapped her across the cheek and she fell to the ground. The man stared at her evily, he was very tall and had long silver hair.

 

"HEY, YOU LEAVE HER ALONE!!!!" Ultimare screamed, standing up. "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!!! YOU NEVER HIT A LADY!!" He summoned his two Keyblades.

 

" Ooh aren't you just a tough guy, but you have no right to be hanging around with her." He said pointing to Alex on the ground. " Now Alex......." he picked her up by her hair again. " Introduce me to your friend." He said to her. " This is Drake......... my Fianc'e" She said tears streaming down her cheek, but it wasn't from the pain of Drake pulling her by her hair.

 

"WHAT!" he shouted, very surprised at what she just said. "THIS is the guy you're gonna marry!?!" He turned to Drake and said "You are a sorry excuse for a human being! You don't even deserve Alex!! I don't see how her parents could ever want someone like you marrying their daughter! You disgust me!" He spat at Drake.

 

Drake just snickered. " Come Alex, I came all the way here to take you home." He said turning away. " No.. I.... I won't go back." She said shaking. " You dare deffy me?! Fine then, I'll just make you come back with me." He said walking over to her and grabbing ahold of her hair again. This time she didn't even put up a fight. She knew all too well what would happen if she did.

 

Ultimare ran in front of Drake and said "You let go of her THIS INSTANT!!"

 

" Fine I'll let her go." He lifted her right off her feet and threw her to the side. She hit the ground hard.

 

He ran over to her and helped her into a sitting position. "Alex!" he said, "Are you alright?"

 

" Ye.....yeah, but hurry get out of here! I can't defy him. You need to get out of here before he hurts you." She said worrying about him.

 

He smiled at her and said "Do you really think he can hurt me! I mean come on! You've seen what I can do!"

 

She smiled. " Alex come here at ONCE!!" Drake yelled at her. She slowly got up, and walked over to him, staring at the ground. " There that's a good little house wife." He said like she was a dog.

 

"Hey! Drake! Think fast!" he said, throwing a darkness ball at him.

 

The stench hit the shepherd like a brick to the face. He'd recognize a stench like that anywhere. Someone was using the darkness.

But that was immpossible. Besides Blake himself, no one had power like that except for the gods. Unless...

"Unless I'm not the only one touched by a god", the shepherd said out loud as he started off towards the stench.

 

Drake turned around and caught the darkness ball. "Fool" he said throwing it aside. " Now she will pay for your foolishness." Drake said grabbing ahold of Alex's throat and lifting her into the air. She sqwrimed and tried to loosen his grip on her throat, but he was holding on too tight.
