Bishop Arrested for Child Chimney Pot Stunt

So I was looking around the odd news on yahoo.com, when I found this little article.

Gees, poor guy. He was just trying to help his kids with a school project. o.o Any thoughts or comments on this? XD

 

thats kinda unbelieveable. there are more than oneside to the story so we reallycant be sure. but if he's innocent then he cant be faulted. considering he's already been released.

 

If he was there, or they were wearing safety harnesses and in no real danger, then I cry overreaction on the part of the city. If, however, he was lying and they were not protected and were unattended, then, while the reaction was a little extreme (a fine would do), the cops still did the right thing by helping them.

Talk about an over-reaction. Stories like this piss me off especially when you think how many children ARE actually abused and mistreated and child services are no help whatsoever.

True he could be lying but I don't know, lying about what they wearing etc would seem stupid since witnesses can easily counter that if it wasn't true.

:/ maybe the authorites should focus more on children who ACTUALLY need help.

 

Is it wrong that I saw "Bishop Arrested for Child.........." and immediately thought "MOLESTATION"? xD

This does sound like an over reaction, but if one of the children had fallen and the police had decided not to do anything about it they would be blamed for his stupidity. They can't take any chances.

 

I can see how this can be misunderstood, but I can't pick a side in this either.

I agree with what CtR said though, Im pretty sure the social services are wasting their time here; since when has it been abuse to allow your children to safely climb places?

 

Haha this is the stupidist thing I have ever heard O.O
They sound as if they was as safe as their father implied, and also If The kids felt scared then I am sure he would have taken them down. But He was helping them win a comp!!! I mean if it was a punishment then I can see how it can b classed as cruelty. The UK is messed up (yup thats where I am from). our health and safety acts are ridiculous! and child cruelty dontttt get me started, the amount of babies beaten to death every week over here is appauling URGH!! Ima shush now!
