Stan Lee does not approve of them.

 

I may just be agreeing with him because he's Stan Effing Lee, but I've also always wondered why people celebrate a day that's nothing but a reminder of how much closer you are to pushing up daisies.

Yeah but you should celebrate how you've survived another year of life :3 Ahh who cares, any excuse to celebrate right?

 

People die without having experienced any birthdays. It could be a celebration of having made it that far to begin with. "Congrats! You're not dead!"
