Biohazard (Remake)

Mya frowned at Kanonno. She hated people who would doubt her help. It seriously ticked her off. Well if you insist, stay out here. I heard the rape and murder rates went up in the past few days. Everyone else can follow me in. She then walked into the tunnel and motioned everyone else to follow.

 

Kanonno stepped back suddenly, her green eyes wide, hurt from Mya's sudden harshness. "H-hey! There's no need for that! I was only asking!" She sighed and scratched her head slightly, before picking up the pace again so she was closer to Mya. "...Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you, but you most likely know as well as I do that finding someone trustworthy around these parts can be as hard as bending a thick metal strip with your bare hands. I'm just being cautious is all..."

 

Intersting place to have a hide out. Ren thought as he made his way in. Hearing what Kanonno had said gave him a confused look on his face.No place is that protected at least, as far as I know.

 

Danni raised her eyebrows with suprise as Mya snapped at Kanonno though she did understand her reasoning, she was just glad she hadn't voiced her own slight doubts. However, when Kanonno tried to apologise and make it up, she just laughed and shook her head. She had to take these moments as and when they appeared. Her attention was drawn more to the tunnel they were walking down, it was kind of creepy in a way but she wasn't the kind of girl to be scared easily. She knew that making a place homely wasn't the biggest concern here, this place was built to be safe and hidden, those things it certainly was. Still, it just further reminded her how far away from home was and made her wonder what she had actually got herself into. She wrapped a single strand of her jet black hair round her finger as she quietly followed the others, briefly considering what each of their stories might be. She did not doubt they all had their own reasons for being here and maybe together they could succeed in their own goals.

 

After a little more walking, Mya led them into a large room. The left side had a kitchen with a dining table. The right side had 5 beds, one which was slightly messier. The middle of the room had some couches and a cabinet full of pills. The far end of the room had a door. Mya gestured them in Make yourself at home. I'll cook up something for you guys.

OOC: Why do all these have to die ;~;

BIC: Kanonno sighed heavily and wiped the water from her eyes, hurt after being snapped at and then ignored. Why...is it so hard.. she thought to herself, slowly slumping herself down on one of the couches away from some of the others. She looked around slowly with her sad, green eyes, examining the room to see if there was anything of interest...though nothing she saw really held her attention.

 

OOC: I'm tired of bumping all these threads :/

BIC: Mya shook Kanonno lightly. You need to put more faith in people. Whether they go along with you or not, you can't get anywhere without trust in your friends. She handed her a bottle of pills. This will ease up your symptoms and the progress of the virus. She headed back to the kitchen area and cracked a few eggs.

 

Kanonno nodded, sniffled slightly and then accepted the bottle of pills from Mya, immediately ripping the lid off and chugging down on maybe 2 or 3 of the pills, forcing them down her throat. After congestion, she replaced the lid and sat back on the couch (which was deceptively comfy), waiting for the pills to take effect. "S-so...Mya..is this like a safe house? Or is it where you live 24/7?" She looked over at the girl in the kitchen and awaited a reply.

 

OOC: lol, sorry for my long silence, I had forgotten about this thread. :P

IC: Jayne had followed the group silently, not much used to talking anymore. She tuned them out and walked behind, trying to decide wether or not she should stay with them. Yes, there was power in numbers, but it also made it harder to hide. Besides, she wasn't used to trusting either. The last two people she had trusted were both dead now, and had been for a long time. The only thing she could trust in this life was that one day, she would die. Hopefully not for a long time, and hopefully not by the Virus, but still, it was inevitable. When they reached the hideout, she returned from her thoughts and looked at each of the people around her. She smiled a half smile under her mask at Kannono's joke and then was somewhat startled by Mya's response. She looked behind her one last time before deciding to go ahead and give this whole teamwork thing a try, then she followed the group into the room.
Sitting down on one of the couches, she watched Kannono swallow pills straight from the bottle, and made a mental note to avoid needing medicine at all costs. Mya went to the kitchen to prepare a meal, and Jayne looked around at the others. It suddenly occoured to her that although they had all introduced themselves outside, she never had. "Oh, by the way, I'm Jayne."

 

OOC: Gonna stall until the others respond

BIC: Mya nodded while adding ham and onions to the pan. Nice to meet you. And yes I do live here. It's very safe. Although I do have Safehaven soldiers coming through time dice it is required to let them go through. But they do give you supplies if you're clean. She motioned to her cabinet full of bottled medicine. Though I wish they realize I have no use for them.

 

"Maybe they could be used to help others out." Ren said taking a seat on the couch. "You never know when someone might need them.

 

She looked back at the others. Like you guys. Take as much as you want. Medicine is worthless to me in my condition. She hummed a song while sprinkling some salt on the eggs.

 

Jayne felt her heart sink down into the pit of her stomach as she heard Mya speak. She was beginning to remember why she hadn't talked to anybody in a while. "How..." Her voice caught and she cleared her throat. Why was this happening, she barely knew the girl. It wasn't like last time. "How far along are you? You know, with the Virus."

 

Mya sighed and placed a lid on the pan, making the eggs cook a bit as she walked over to her bed, eyeing a picture of her and two people who looked like her mom and dad. I'm guessing a Level 5. Close enough to die, but not enough so you suffer. Every day, you wake up, wondering when the next symptom will hit, how fast the virus is growing. It sickens me to see that stupid dome. They're holding parties, enjoying their life, and not care while we rot away and kill each other just for another day to live. She shook her head, forcing a smile on her face. Ah what I'm I saying. I tell people to enjoy their life. You should too. A 21 year old like me should try. She walked back to the kitchen, holding back her rage of emotions stirring within her.

 

Danni listened in silence to what Mya was saying, it was so scary. Someone that young should not be dying, it was wrong in so many ways. Yet in the world they lived in, it had become a harsh truth of life. Looking round the room, she wondered how many of them had the dreaded virus, they were all so young but the virus did not discriminate. She had not come down with any of the symptoms yet but among so many with it, she suspected it wouldn't take long. She wondered if she'd already caught it. She sighed and gazed at the medicine, she knew she could just take some medicine and return home right now having acomplished what she came there for. But she also knew she wouldn't, she wouldn't leave all these people, it would just feel so mean. No, she would stay, despite the risks and hopefully do some good.

 

Once Mya left the room, Ren took a look at the medicine. He had no idea what level he was on if he even had the virus. He went over to the cabinet and grabbed one bottle of medicine. Who knows, this might come in handy. He thought moving back to the couch.

 

Jayne looked around at the others, while Ren got up and took a bottle of the precious medicine. The medicine that she herself would never taste, because other hands had touched the bottle. What if taking the medicine would prevent the virus? She really should take some, but what if by doing so, she caught the virus she so feared and avoided? She decided to just not take some. "So..." she looked awkwardly at the other people, her purple eyes the only part of her visible under all the clothes she wore. "How many of you have the virus?"

 

OOC: Marushi, just to let you know, the virus only spreads through human contact. It cannot live on non-living things such as bottles or food unless human saliva or blood has come into contact.

BIC: Mya chopped the eggs into large pieces and walked over to the room they were in, handing each one of them a plate. Enjoy your food. She however didn't take a plate herself

 

Kanonno glanced up at Mya as she handed her a plate of food, giving a small smile to show her thanks. "You...okay?" She asked as she noticed Mya not taking one for herself, which worried her slightly. At the same time, she heard Jayne's question and turned to face her, focusing on her purple eyes as that was really all she could see of her. "Level 3...just going on 4..." She rubbed her arm awkwardly and looked away. "The depression...is just kicking in...it's horrible but...I can live with it...especially since other people have got it much worse than me." She glanced back at Mya again and sighed heavily.
