Biohazard (Remake)

So earlier I made an RP called Biohazard (some may remember) and I closed it down. Why? Because I did a horrible job trying to make it. Story was bland, not enough descriptions, and other whatnots. So I've decided to scrap back to the drawing board and create up a new story to make and hopefully a better interesting storyline that people can be interested in.

Btw, not for the happy, joyful people. You've been warned

History- In 1942, a strange meteor crashed in the snowy cold lands of Russia. A few Russian scientists took the rock in and decided to examine it. What they found was a strange virus that affects humans and kills them from the inside out. They worked on it until the start of the Cold War. They were planning to use it to cause a biohazard in America when the launch failed due to advancing secret military troops. They had to blow up the laboratory to hide all evidence. It was all gone, but one sample remained. The secret troops took it to a secret lab in China. Until 2045, finding out that the virus could be used for biological warfare, they decided to test it out on some criminals. What they didn't know is that it was very contagious and very hard to detect. Soon, the test subjects and scientists died a few weeks later. It started with just 10 people. One year later, 95% of the population was infected with it. When the world found out, it was too late. Billions of people died in a matter of as long as years to mere amounts of weeks and others infected and seriously sick. In a last attempt plan, all the world powers created a giant dome in the middle of USA and placed all the military forces inside of it so anyone caught entering will be killed. They stayed safe as they already created a tamperer for the virus while the towns and societies outside went to hell.

July 23, 2046- Population count is now 20 million. 10 million are infected and another 10 million are safe from it, in the dome or naturally immune to it. Military forces continue to grow slowly. More crime is committed on the streets. medicine is rapidly dropping away, government never giving a damn to the people outside. If people were lucky, they could barter the guards to smuggle their way into the dome, now called Safehaven. A cure has not been found yet, but the scientists are close to finding one. More rioters are joining the crowd surrounding Safehaven. When will this be over? The smell here is horrible. So many bodies are rotting away and we can't toss them away. I'm afraid of the young ones. They're sick and it will get worse. How much longer do we have to suffer?

Situation- The virus has been given no official name. The outside world calls it the Hand of Death. It is a 6 step process from little symptoms to death. Government is holding out, hoping it will die off soon and then rebuild the world. Gangs and raiders are constantly terrorizing people for food, water, and rarely some medicine to halt the process temporarily.

The Hand of Death- Coming on the meteorite, it can spread in a few ways. One is skin-to-skin contact. Another is sharing water, food, or others that involve human saliva/blood coming in contact with another human being. Each stage can carry on to another. The 6 stages are:

1. Literally nothing. No one can tell if the person is infected. Reason why a cure cannot be found. The earlier it's found, the better chance to recover.

2. Minor cold like symptoms. Cough, sneeze, and maybe a small headache.

3. Normal cold like symptoms. Also minor fever. Can kill young children/old people if not taken seriously

4. Major flu symptoms. Also migraines, major depression, hallucination, seizures, and minor internal bleeding

5. 100+ fevers, delirium, shivers, painful cramps, irregular heart beat, normal to major internal bleeding, possible insanity and organ failure.

6. Guaranteed death. Heart failure, liver failure, blindness, insanity, critical internal bleeding, malaria like symptoms, and blood clots

Areas/Factions-

Slums- The area around Safehaven. The slums was a beautiful city until the plague spreaded. People now live mostly inside, fear of the raiders that take and kill whatever that want, and looking for hope from the government. There are a lot of supplies here if people know where to look. Very dangerous at night as many gang activities happen mostly at night. A militia was created to protect the lives of the slum citizens from the raiders

Villages- A lot farther away from the dome and mostly deserted. Many inhabitants headed to the slums for the medicine until it dropped out. A few live here. Not much supplies, but a lot of animals live here for food and other necessities. Very rarely do raiders come and attack here. Most of the people here are friendly.

Safehaven- The place where everyone needs to go. The dome is impossible to penetrate, more than 3 million soldiers and armed vehicles stationed for a riot attack, and all the world's power leaders are camped here until a cure is made. No entry unless smuggled in. Only the most wealthy live in the grand exquisite homes in Safehaven

Raiders-
Bunch of escaped convicts or poor people who want to grab what they can. Especially the medicine. They constantly attack different parts of the slums to see what they can get their hands on. Sometimes even a girl or two for their...purposes. The Safehaven army keeps them away from the core of the slums where the entrance of Safehaven is.

2. Keep everything around an R rating (Yes, this RP can get pretty mature at times)
3. Do not kill other characters unless I give you permission along with the owner of that OC
4. Do not "Ditch" the RP without telling me. This seriously pisses me off and is a waste of time to those who need a response. The rule is if you do not post within 4 days of your last post, they WILL be killed off unless you notify me. Got it?

Bio: She was born into a wealthy family and was a single child. In fact, her father was one of the scientists who worked with the Hand of Death. When the biohazard appeared, her family couldn't afford to bring her with them into Safehaven so they ditched her in an orphan shelter. She caught the disease at age 18 when she was attempted to get raped by some slum scumbags. She managed to get away but left with a disease that could kill her. Her job now is to comfort the people who are losing hope in their battle with the disease. She helps the Slum Millita grab supplies from nearby warehouses for the shelter they live in. Soon, they will try to break into Safehaven and try grabbing the antidote. Always in danger since her infection level is seriously high and constantly collapses into a horrible cramp or even a coma.

Bio: Born in a wealthy family, Xane was a talented strategist. He could beat every player in board games and won a national chess champion at the age of 6. Eventually, he joined the army after attending military school from age 13-20. He quickly rose from a mere private to a high ranking colonel in the US army. When the virus hit, he was given full charge to the 1st Brigade Safehaven Military, His job was to keep the Raiders and Slum Dwellers away from Safehaven, but also try distributing food to the rowdy crowd outside of Safehaven which continues to grow.

Bio: James lost his parents after they tried to get themselves inside of Safehaven. Luckily James was able to escape before the soldiers inside could kill him too. James used to be a part of the United States Army, but was discharged after refusal to abide by the "Kill On Sight" rule inside of Safehaven. He attempted to smuggle weapons out of the Safehaven Armory, but was only able to get a fully loaded Desert Eagle handgun with an extra clip of ammo, and an old M4 Carbine with only one full clip. As for his childhood, James was a part of a middle-class family. They had a good home with little to worry about. Until the "Hand Of Death" came around. It had wiped out James' grandparents on both sides of his family. Since his parents' murder, he has vowed that he will avenge his parents or die trying.
Other (optional): James is an angry person, willing to do what is necessary to avenge his fallen parents. Despite that, he is also willing to help others with their problems if they need it.

Man, I'd hate to be someone who's at the 6 stage. That must be horrible.

Bio: Hikaru's parents abandoned Kale and his younger brother when they were 14 and 12. Hikaru was in charge of taking care of his little brother since he can remember. He became infected when attempting to stop an infected man from attacking his younger brother and the man bit him. The delirium keeps Hikaru on his toes but still not a safe distance from his little brother. When his little brother became sick, Hikaru promised him he would search for a cure for him, even at the cost of his life. Even at Stage 6, Hikaru vowed to keep his promise to his brother and search.

Bio: Kaoru's memory was lost not long after his parents abandoned him and his older brother. Watching his brother go through grief of their parents leaving them and then the stages of the virus he tends to keep to himself a lot more than normal. Even though Kaoru is 18, his memory dates back to being twelve years old. Having his infected brother close to him spread the virus to him but he's never complained.

Bio: Ever since the death of their parents we he was 12, Ren's took the responsibility of raising him and teaching how to fight with a sword and in hand to hand combat. Even though life for them seemed fine even with the Hand of Death virus around, the slums were still a dangerous place to live in. So they both left the slums and headed for the safe heaven. The problem was that when they got there only one of them was allowed to enter. Deciding it would be better for her if she lived in safe haven, so he left her with the reassuring words that one day he'll come and live in the safe heaven and left.

Bio: Danni was born into a small village and after inherting a bow, she quickly learnt archery to go hunting to make up for the low supplies to do her part. As time went on more and more people left the village to head for the slums but she stuck it out. It wasn't an easy life but she didn't mind, they got by with the food they hunted and her family somehow managed to avoid the virus, maybe as the village population was ever decreasing and visitors were seldom. She knew it was much safer here than the slums from the many stories she'd been told. However, that was until the raider came. She had been out hunting when it happened but she returned to find half the village destroyed, her dad dead and her young sister wouldn't speak about what had happened. The raider had been killed but the damage had already been done. The communtity got together after this to try and recover from it but it soon became apparent the raider had brought something extra with him. Shortly after, serveral more people in the village had the infection, including her family. In light of this, Danni has sworn she will go and get medicine and try to find the cure.

Bio: When the Hand of Death came to their village, Jayne's parents packed up the family and moved to the city, hoping to be smuggled into the Dome. They were very careful to never touch anyone's hand, or brush up against anybody in the streets, and they never shared water or food, growing all their stuff and purifying all their water before drinking it. They weren't careful enough, however, and one day Jayne came home to find her father in a frenzy and her mother with a slight headache. Even though they weren't sure it was the virus, they were going to take every kind of precaution. It soon was evident that her mother had the disease, so for the next several months, Jayne spent her life in a breathing mask and surgical gloves, waiting on her dying mother. Then, when her mother was in the 6th stage, Jayne's father couldn't handle it anymore and took off his mask to kiss his wife one last time. He died six months later. Jayne's lived on her own ever since, roaming the streets and stealing whatever she can to survive. Ever since her parents' death, she's been terrified of the Virus and wears clothes head to toe in an attempt to avoid any possible human contact. Always excellent at hiding, she can remain unseen when she wants to and hasn't spoken to another human in almost a year.
Other (optional): Jayne still purifies her water before drinking, and only eats food that she finds still completely wrapped (like granola bars, crackers, stuff that comes individually wrapped), carefully unwrapping the food with her gloves and then removing the gloves to eat the food with her hands, which she washes constantly in purified water.

Bio: Krill grew up in nice peaceful area, surrounded by friendly people and such. Life was good, until the infection spread and hit his area. Things went into utter chaos, people were accusing others of carrying the disease which led to a lot of problems, leading to many deaths. Frightened, Krill's family made their move and evacuated the area in hopes of finding safe shelter. But as luck may have it, Krill had caught the disease spontaneously and foolishly confronted his parents. They, of course, were horrified - thinking he had a Stage 6 disease - and threw Krill away like he was a piece of trash almost instantly. Shocked and in terror, Krill's personality almost did a complete 180 degree twist, throwing his cheery demeanour out the window. Nowadays he distances himself from the others, never really communicating unless something catches his interest.

When a government keeps a secret, hell will break loose once they decide to tell the world. And in that point, everyone but the rich and powerful suffer. The weak and poor fight to create a faction to stand up. As long as a corrupt government stands, the rebellion will never stop. Little do we knew that as we go to hell with the others, we shall rot and the last thing we see is the laughing faces of the rich and greedy." ~Mya

Mya sat on an abandoned shopping mall rooftop, looking across the horizon. It was beautiful except a giant dome blocked half of it. It has been 2 months since she caught the Hand of Death. She had a horrible life of comas, cramps, intense fevers, suicidal thoughts, insanity, and a lot of internal bleeding, but it never dampened her heart that there was hope out there. She was a selfless person. All she cared was the life of others. The children, the old, the hopeless. She would die to bring hope to the people. Right now, it seemed impossible. The Raiders take their belongings to spare their lives. Once in a while they take a female teenager. What happens to her people don't want to think about. Mya closed her eyes, trying to listen to some sound of hope. All she heard was the sound of the wind rushing and faint gunfire. Was there hope? Would they die without a cause?

 

A cloaked figure, stood in spacious, dusty room, sprang forward and unleashed a cry as he tore what appeared to be a training dummy to pieces with his rain of kicks. He stepped back to admire his handiwork, panting heavily and sweating bullets. "It's not enough!" He cried angrily, turning and smashing the filthy window behind him with his bare hands, sending shards of glass everywhere. He pulled back and sighed in dismay, wiping the blood off of his hand with some kid's "Spiderman" shirt that was hanging the wall. Over the past month, Krill's disease had driven him up the wall. The migraines and depression he could handle, they gave him reason to train as much as he did. It was the hallucinations and depression that were getting to him, he had already beaten up some innocent people, thinking they were his parents or someone else who had abandoned him. He approached the window again, this time for some "fresh" air to wash some of the depression away. Gunshots were still going off in the distant, a giant dome was blocking the view of the world he longed to escape to, fights were taken place below, life had gone to the worst kind of hell imaginable.

 

Jayne stood silently in the shadows as a group of raiders walked past her, laughing and bragging about the day's spoils. She waited and she watched, completely motionless, and smiled at the thought of them completely missing her again. Here she was, close enough to touch them, and they walked on. Of course, she had her knife at the ready, just in case she was spotted, but she wasn't too worried. In a moment, all the raiders were gone and she stepped out of the shadows to continue on her way. Jayne was hungry, and she was looking for some food. She came across a run-down Safe-Way, some poor guy was trying to run a business even in the midst of the poverty around him. Clean food sold here, the sign read. Untouched by any HANDS. A clever marketing ploy, but still. "Better hope he's telling the truth." After carefully making sure that there was no one around, Jayne walked up and picked the lock on the front door. She always hated doing this, but her situation made it neccessary to steal. She took only enough food to satisfy her hunger, and then she took off, locking the door behind her.

 

Danni gazed back at her village sadly, "I will find a cure and I will be back" She whispered though no one was around to hear it, it was more to attempt to convince herself she would. Her family back there were suffering and she'd felt so helpless. So, she'd vowed to travel away to get medicine and find a way to help them, she knew it was probably not the most sensible thing to do but she couldn't stand to watch so helpless. Now she was on her way to the slums, a lone girl with jet black hair and bow and arrows upon her back. An odd choice of weapon, many would think, it was out of date 100 years ago. However in a world where bullets were hard to come by, she could make her own arrows and in the right hands, it could be just as deadly as a gun. It suited her just fine. She'd been hunting with it her whole life, so she'd got pretty good though she'd never shot another person but with all the dangers ahead, she knew that might change.

BIC: Mya continued to rest until a bullet hit the railing she was sitting on, startling her. She looked down and saw a group of 5 Raiders. Hey sweet stuff! What are you doing up there? You belong down here with us! Mya hissed back at them. Back off! I'll kill you all. They all mocked being scared. Ooh so scary! Once we grab a hold of you, we'll take you back and see how tough you are after 50 of us gets out share. It's been too long since we got a good looking girl! As the approached the building, Mya shot a round at them. I told you to stay back! They growled. Let's see about that! The leader snapped his fingers and two guys threw high explosives onto the support pillars. See you in hell! Shame we couldn't give you a good time! They set it off, causing the building to tilt forward and sending Mya to the floor. Crap! Gotta get off before- She was cut off by a searing pain in her sides as she collapsed to the floor. No please! Not now! Symptoms couldn't have gone off at a worse time. The building was threatening to smash to the streets if it weren't the last 2 pillars they forgot to blow up. She had no choice. It was risky. She pulled out a flare beacon and fired a shot in the sky, marking a location that could be seen miles away.
