    • The premiere of The Legend of Korra book three with three new episodes on Nickelodeon: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
    • The premiere of the movie Zapped on Disney Channel: 8:00 PM - 9:45 PM
    • The premiere of the new sitcom comedy Girl Meets World, a sequel to Boy Meets World, on Disney Channel: 9:45 PM - 10:15 PM

And I can catch them three hours early, too, because I have both the west and east channels, and the east channels have HD. The conflict with The Legend of Korra and Zapped also isn't a problem since I can just record one on the DVR. Tee hee.

Makes me wish I had DirectTV so I could watch both Disney channels, cartoon network, as well as Nick.

I expect Girl Meets World go one of two ways:

    1) It's just like every other sit-com for kids that just panders and treats kids like they're idiots, completely going against the themes and tone of the original show. However, because its like everything else, it becomes popular and is another cash cow for Disney.

    OR

    2) It sticks by what the original was in terms of tone and theme, becoming its own thing, and being vastly different than all the other kid's sit-coms. However, I would expect it to not be as popular because its not like everything else and wont last long.

I feel like this show is going to have at least a bit of leeway, since Boy Meets World was reeeeeally popular and ran for like ten years.

However Disney has this really dumb rule where they refuse to let a show run more than four seasons, so it definitely won't last as long as that.

Possibly. I mean, it does help that a lot of people who worked on Boy Meets World are on this project. However, it could also be a "lightning in a bottle" sort of thing, where everything came together at the right time.

I also feel that what helped the show was that it lasted so long. You saw these people grow up, go to college, get married, and live their lives. And yeah, that rule of not having go on for longer than four season (although I heard that it's actually a 70 episode sort of thing) could get in the way. I understand why they do that though.

    Zapped?..
that sounds like it has the makings to be one of the worst things ever.

wait book 3 is starting already? i haven't even watched book 2 yet. i was going to catch up in time.

boy meets world was slightly before my time, but even with reruns it wasn't something that appealed to me.

If you ask me, that's a stupid rule. Nickelodeon does the same thing (with some exceptions, such as iCarly due to its popularity), but at least Disney Channel doesn't cancel sitcoms after only one season left and right like Nickelodeon (How to Rock, Marvin Marvin, Wendell & Vinnie, etc.). Just let the people run it for however long they see fit. I mean, they canceled The Amanda Show on a cliffhanger, and people never got to find out what happened to Moody because Dan Schneider, the writer, didn't even get a chance to write another Moody's Point. They canceled the revival of Figure It Out after only two seasons -- the original had four seasons, with the last two being Family Style and Wild Style, respectively.

However, one thing I noticed is that they only do it with sitcoms, not cartoons. Look at how long Rugrats ran for and how long SpongeBob SquarePants and The Fairly OddParents have been running for. Not that I'm complaining -- I love them -- but still.

    Hey, that show's funny. :D

    It's a movie, not a show.
