An absolute cult classic game is getting its proper HD reamke treatment!
Note: the article just below specifies the Xbox release date, however it's the same date of release for the PS3. Just to say if you wondered.

Beyond Good & Evil HD Price and Date

I adored Beyond Good and Evil, everything was brilliant it was just a shame that it didn't get the attention it deserved, it covered almost everything that makes playing grand games great.
Likened to and Xbox and Playstation equivalent of the Zelda series, it bags in adventure, story, simple yet thrilling gameplay, characters and side missions to keep you entertained whole-heartedly recommend it, and for just 800 Microsoft points for the Xbox and £5/$7.50 (not sure about the dollars) on the PS3? It's so worth the price tag!

This re-release bodes well for an announcement on the possible sequel that went into production years ago, hopefully with good sales it'll be sooner than later.

Are you sure there wasn't a thread on this already? I didn't check myself...but this is ancient news. @-@

I have the original game, and while I am happy that Beyond Good and Evil is getting attention, I'm not buying the HD version of it.

D'aw, I was going to tell you to correct the way you posted that link.

Oh well, I'll just up your video with this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31QEERV4Rdc&feature=fvwrel 8D

There were threads about 6 months ago, but I was mainly just updating the price and date of release, since it is relatively soon and cheap. My main aim is to encourage others to atleast try it, becasue of how much of a classic I see it as.

Also, I say 'announcement of a possible sequel' becasue the sequel has garnered little attention over the number of years it has been in production for, and all I know is that recently a number of game series have been canceled (e.g. Guitar Hero and True Crime) and i'm cautious about putting my faith into any possible future series for this wonderful, but easily overlooked, game. Buuuuut, with a re-release of the first game, it bodes well that the developers are lining up the sequel for a sooner release if the first game does well with its HD remake.

I've been waiting for a sequel for 8 years, it better actually happen!!!

About freaking time! This game is a hidden gem. Can't wait to play it, though it may be a wee bit longer since there has been no confirmed date for the ps3 version. >|

...yah, that's not real. Looks cool, though. I mean, all you did there was press A. Not fun.

I think that was just a cutscene of some kind with the "press A" commands slapped on to make it look like gameplay. But then we figure out it's not after the commands get more and more ridiculous. Maybe.

Overall, it's a teaser with fake gameplay. So it's half-real...I think..

I think it's a cutscene, or what could potentially be a command sequence but you can see that the 'commands' and xbox points were superimposed.
