Best video game ever made?

So um... What is your favourite video game of all time? Mine are half-life 2 and Sonic 3

 

The game I think I have most playtime in is Counter Strike 1.6... The versatility of that engine is ridiculous, and a lot of games spawned from that. (The Half-Life engine, but I never played HL).

So I think, to me, it's CS1.6.
Money-wise, it's WoW (Never played it.)

 

For me, Final Fantasy X (although the most time I've played a game was Dissidia with 300 Hours). FFX is a beautiful game, with an amazing soundtrack. I just love it.

 

Dark Cloud will always have a special place in my heart, it had a brilliant soundtrack and was just an all round great game, really not as well known as it should be. Kingdom hearts 1 was the first game I ever got obsessed with though, and I'd say that has to be my favourite game of all time, despite how general opinion is KH2 was better.

Also Dissidia has the most playing time for me, but that's just cos there is so flippin much to do.

mmm, I'd have to say definately Legend of Dragoon, Final Fantasy's, Kingdom Hearts, Time Hollow, and Rogue Galaxy....oh yeah, there's also .hack//G.U.

 

Oblivion. Oblivion and then Skyrim once I play it. xD

 

Quality-wise, Skyrim is not that great. I mean, I love it, but even if the game is big, there are so many dumb glitches (yeah, yeah, people say it's because it's so big, I don't care, they should've been able to fix the glitched and backwards flying dragon by now). The game is addictive as hell, but as mentioned, I wouldn't consider it a good game, quality-wise. It's addictive as **** though.

 

As I said before I've never played it. And the quality was really great and as you say it's really addicting to all of my friends who have it. The glitches I can understand and fellow consumers should also understand the fact as to why they have it.
But the main quest line isn't that long I was told. But there was so much stuff in the game it's take you like 5 year to complete. (as in get every little thing in the game)

 

Well, personally, I think the story sucked, haha. And it was very short. It's true that there are a lot of stuff you can do, but at least for me (I quite enjoy the game), after I get all the achievements (Playing on 360), I'm probably never going to play it ever again.

 

Since its quite hard to decide for me, I will just pick one from this year, Portal 2. It had amazing characters (Wheatley and GLaDOS) and intriguing puzzles.

 

That sucks. I wish it wasn't short. :( I really wanted a good story. Thats what games like that lack, when they have great quality they have a shiit storyline to go with it.

 

The thing is, though, there are several sub-stories that are probably equally long, so all in all, there are quite a couple of stories to play though. Companions, Brotherhood (I think is their name), Stormcloaks, etc.

 

Kingdom Hearts.

And more a lot of games, but Kingdom Hearts is in 1st place.

 

Ah I know what you mean now. I remember being told about the Brotherhood and stuff so I know what you mean.

 

These are all guilds/groups you can join.

Bards College — A guild of musicians, vocalists, and story tellers, based in Solitude.
College of Winterhold — A guild dedicated to the study and practice of magic and based in Winterhold. They are similar to the Mages Guild in previous games.
Companions — A guild of mercenaries, dedicated to combat, based in Whiterun. They are similar to the Fighters Guild in previous games.
The Circle — The most trusted and accomplished members of the Companions.
Dark Brotherhood — A secret guild made up of professional assassins. Identical in function as their Oblivion counterparts.
Imperial Legion — The military power of the empire, they seek to maintain Imperial control of Skyrim from their base in Solitude.
Stormcloaks — The main organization of rebels in Skyrim's civil war, they seek Skyrim's independence from the Empire. They are based in Windhelm.
Thieves Guild — A secret guild dedicated to professional thievery, based in Riften.
Nightingale Sentinels — A cabal of the Thieves Guild's top members that serves Nocturnal and protects her shrines in Skyrim.

I am the Archmage of the College of Winterholm, in the Circle of the Companions, in the Brotherhood, Stormcloacks and in the Nightingale Sentinels of the Thieves guild.
All of these have their own little story, some more extensive than others. (The Winterholm college is pretty damn long)

 

I personally say that the Ace Attorney games are among my favourites. (No duh)
I also like the inFAMOUS and Ratchet and Clank games, have a really nice charm and story etc.
However I think the "Tales of" RPG series takes the cake for me, absolutely love those games.

 

NES: Zelda 1 or Ninja Gaiden

PS1: hmm.I'd say Goofy's fun house, FF 7,8 and 9.

N64: Mario 64

Gameboy: Pokemon Yellow

GBA: Pokemon fire red (never played much of the gameboy games at all :L pokemon are the only ones i know of for GBA and gameboy xD)

nintendo DS: The world ends with you or New super mario bro's

PSP: At the moment FF Type-0. Also FF4 complete collection and FF crisis core.

Original Xbox: even though most of these were made Multi-platform, i first played them on xbox: Mortal Kombat shaolin monks and GTA: San andreas

Gamecube: Definitely Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. There was also Zelda (can't remember the title, but it had both wind waker and ocarina of time disc's, the case was golden)

PS2: Okami, shinobi, shadow the hedgehog and jackie chan adventures.

Xbox 360: don't even play mine anymore, but i did love: gears of war 2 and Naruto broken bonds.

PS3: Skyrim , Assassin's creed II , Red dead redemption and Naruto UNS

Kingdom hearts is such a typical answer to be honest, even though i'm being sort of a hypocrite by saying that. Kingdom hearts is my favourite game of ALL time. BUT there are a lot more other games than Kingdom hearts :\ thats why i avoided listing it above.

 

Oh, I forgot to mention, the Halo Franchise with Halo: Reach at the top. Forgeworld alone is a freaking game!
