    Post your opinion in here.

I think Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb's second solo. Chills...

And uh... wow, I can't pick just one.

    Eruption - Eddie Van Halen
    November Rain - Slash
    Cemetery Gates - Dimebag Darrel
Stairway to Heaven - Jimmy Page

Just to name a few of my favorites.

    Damn right.
In addition, pretty much every The Mars Volta solo ever written.

    Stairway to Heaven Live solo.

If you've ever seen footage of Page doing it live...it easily rapes any other solo. And I'm not just being fanboyish. Both technically and creativity-wise....it's(to me) a masterpiece. Page broke a string in the middle of a solo and continued for another minute without losing composure. >>

Let me tell you something about dragonforce

through the fire and flames is NOT their best song
and is NOT their hardest song and defiantly NOT
and the solos in that song is nothing in my opinion
    compared to their other songs

and here is one more thing before i post the title of the song i think it

    Guitar Hero 3
    Killed Dragonforce
    and many other good songs

i personally like fury of the storm and heroes of our time

Uh, dude, this thread's for people to state their opinion of a solo, not for critique about a band.

I third this, I actually had that come to mind when I saw the title of the thread before I even read it. For sure there are dozens that are beyond amazing, but to me this one has something about it that sends chills all the way down my spine and back up again. I can appreciate other solos, but none has ever had the same effect on me as that one did the first time (and every time since) that I heard it.

You sure are arsey lately :l

Trilogy Suite OP 5 - Yngwie Malmsteen
    Eruption - Van Halen
All Along the Watchtower - The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Star Spangled Banner - The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Machine Gun - The Jimi Hendrix Experience
(As a matter of fact, pretty much everything Jimi Hendrix played)
    Cocaine - Eric Clapton
Hanger 18 - Megadeth (Not one of the best, but one of my personal favorites)
