Help Become a Non-Premium?

Is there anyway that after meeting the requirements of being a premium that you can ask the staf to just 'n-make you' back to a normal member?
Not sure if this has been asked before or not.

 

The only way i figure is if you request that they remove either some of your post count or your rep.

 

I believe staff has to manually set you as a Premium and that it isn't an auto thing so you may be able to just PM an Admin and inquire about it.

No, it should automatically set the person to premium. It just takes a wee while to happen. Or so i was told.

 

So you have to be a Premium memeber if you hit the right requirements? No othoer way of staying the same without losing something?

 

You'd have to go back and delete a lot of your post count, I think that's the easiest way. Or you could PM CtR ask ask if she could cut some of your post count.

 

O.o I think its automatic. Once I hit 1000 posts my name was still grey/black/whatever. I had to post 1001 times for it to actually turn pink.

And yeah peace, you should pm an admin, its definately possible.

 

I'm not 100% sure, if this would work, but an Admin could most likely just remove you from the usergroup. However, I hope you know that you wouldn't receive any of the few benefits of Prem (section, usertitles, colored name, ability to hand in Staff apps), so unless you're that strongly against a Pink name, I don't see the big deal.

 

Well, I don't really see the point in a Prem rank, it's just pointless to me, i'd feel more comfortable to just be a regular old member, regular or a Staff, but that would never happen anyway. Not to mention my name would NOT look good in pink.

But I think if you want to do it the normal way, I think the admins would just have to take you out of the usergroup.

Premium switching is done automatically by the site, the reason why some people have to wait a while before they hit prem and others get it in a minute or two, is because the site refreshes the premium status once every hour, at the beginning of the same hour I believe.

Also an admin should be able to override/ turn off your premium status, on some forums that use vbulletin you can even switch that status yourself.

 

Well, you have a ways to go before you'd hit premie any way but I'm sure an Admin could assist you on it when you do get the number of posts required.

2. you can just change your email and not validate it and just wait until it lets you post again.
