I think if I didn't have a job I'd sit around and try to do this kind of stuff. But chances are I'd get bored the first hour.

So I'm glad I have a job to keep me occupied.

But yes, some people have no lives and this is their form of entertainment. Luckily this is only one of two forums I go on. Valenth seemed to have no problems like this. Which is a good thing since then I'd be more *rawr* over this kind of thing.

It is possibly he/she had their router set to change their IP address and I know there are downloadable programs that do the same type of thing. It is likely that they didn't want a pattern to be established to make it less noticeable to the moderating staff of the forums targeted.

As an update though anyway, no new accounts have been made by them :3

I think it is safe to say that KHV is pretty secure at this point in time. As was stated yesterday we actively sought out and removed all traces of them and their accounts from our boards so we don't have to worry about nasty surprises suddenly becoming active *touch wood*

I'm feeling pretty confident.​

can i know what these threads usually look like? because i know a forum that may not know yet, or something, and nor do i know if you guys have contact with them. It's more of a kids forum i used to go to.

 

The threads themselves will be easy to spot straight away, they usually have an indication of what is inside by their titles, such as "Free anime porn" etc.

What is really the best indicator that a site has them is by looking at the new members list and scanning through the names. The names of these accounts are usually a jumble of letters and make no apparent sense. They will join and then slip right into inactvity. So look for new accounts that join and then vanish offline with usernames that look like for example: undodoEnarlfrm was the name of one we had.

Of course that is not to say that every odd looking new account is one of them <3 ​

Most sites that had them had ones that were live and posting by now. I don't think any of the sites that had them had none that posted, though obviously until they post you may not even know they are there.

I would be surprised if a site had them and didn't know at this point as most sites got hit on October 1st initially.

Obviously that is only my own opinion and speculation.

I think I'm gonna try and talk to one of my teachers about this. I'm taking a course at a tech school. Maybe they can help.

 

Thats when you get xtrap or something, that ca use algorithms to detect wether different ip's are stored on a computer.

They do that on another site I go on a few months ago they blocked an I.P. and it kept the guy quiet but the thing is, it may also block other people too. Thats the only problem.​
