BBS2? Lost Game?

I totally agree! I shook off 358 / 2 days as a side quest, but the story was pretty important, i guess thats why they "are/did" all the cut scenes

 

I would love to have a whole game dedicated to Aqua, but I don't know if they should, there cant really be any antagonists and the only thing I can see her doing Is trying to escape and saving the worlds that have fallen to darkness and we all know that doesn't happen, so all I see Aqua doing in the realm of darkness is walking around until she finds DiZ so as much as I would love to see a game just for her, it wouldnt be the best idea

 

Yes but you could very easily seed things for future titles.
Not saying I think this game should be made, but if they were going to make it that's the direction they should go.

 

I think Birth by Sleep: Volume 2 was just a working title or code name for Dream Drop Distance. When you think about it, DDD does seem like a continuation of BBS more than it was for KH2. Just look at it. For BBS, it tied up the issue of Ven not having his heart anymore, explained exactly what Xehanort's been planning since before BBS, and made it clear that both Terra and Aqua's downer endings will be resolved in KH3. All it did for KH2 was explain what that letter was about.

 

You make some valid points, but nothing shown in the BBSV2 trailer (if we can even call it that) played a part in DDD... I guess besides the symbolic element of Sora disappearing.

 

It wasn't really a trailer at all, though. It was just an extension to the secret ending, similar to Another Side Another Story: Deep Dive and the KH2FM's addition to the original secret ending in KH2.

 

The difference being what happened in Deep dive and Sunset Horizons actually DID happen

 

If memory serves the interview in which Nomura stated BBS2 was indeed its own separate thing was an interview centered on DDD, which was right around the corner at the time. I' m not in the mood to look for that interview right now but I read it here, it' s somewhere in the news section.

But then of course some of the ideas he originally intended to put in BBS2 might have landed in DDD and/or KH3 to some extent, go figure ...
