Birth by Sleep BBS for PS2 or PS3

I was just thinking, would they, in the future, make BBS for PS2 or maybe PS3. I know it's sort-of, kinda not expected, but think about it. Nobody thought they were going to make CoM for the PS2, and BAM! They did. Since both the consoles (PSP and PS2/3) are from the same compony, and sort-of have the same controls (the triangle, circle, square, and x buttons), they wouldn't really have to change the controls. Tell me your opinions.

 

Well, Nomura said that BBS is for the PSP. The reason why they won't remake BBS is because it's already being released on the PSP, which uses 3D models much like the PS2 and PS3. There's really not much of a point re-making a game like that because not only would it lose Square Enix money, BBS would become a platformer, which isn't the best way to keep up a 'console exclusive games' reputation. Also, they re-did CoM because the GameBoy con sole had become severly outdated compared to the PS3 and all. A leap from sprites to 3D models is a large change indeed. I think Square Enix re-made CoM for relevance issues only.

Perhaps it might be avalible on PSN as a downloadable game.

Why would they release a game that has what looks to be great graphics and control on a system older than it. And remaking it on ps3 would be pointless, i sure as hell wouldn't buy it unless it was cheap and was basically a Final Mix/International/Directors Cut version

 

Not sure that they would. I always thought they would remake Chain of Memories, due to it being on GBA.

PS2 dying out soon? Consoles that are dying out don't get included in E3 Press Conferences (I don't remember if the PS2 was this year, but I know they were last year at least, which still says a lot, as its competitors from that console generation are DEAD)
Also, this would help Sony out with PSP sales. For example: I don't own a PSP, but I would buy one for this game, Dissidia, and Crisis Core (all Square-Enix products LOL)

Yeah, its possible. I mean, look at the Ratchet and Clank series for a quick example. They had a PSP game, but it got ported to the PS2 later on (though that might have been due to poor sales or something or other)

 

maybe not the reason why they made RE:com is cause most people didn't know about it and when they found out it was too late

 

I would prefer to keep BBS on the PSP there is nothing wrong with it PSP would most likely be less expensive I am aware the PS3 price went down and it might pick up PSP sales

 

no, this is the same conversation as putting that DS game onto the PS3, they put it on that system for a reason BECAUSE THEY WANTED ON THERE.

They might in the way future for PS3, but I doubt PS2 because well, bbs is the last of the new three to come out, right? So that will come out in two years at the least, then it'd probably be a waaayyy while before the remake of it would come out, and how much you wanna bet there will be a PS4 by then.

But on another note, look how nice that game is, like, graphic wise, it looks so much nicer then the other two which are on handheld consoles and it will probably sell much better on psp.

But who knows?

 

About the PSP Go...Is BBS going to be available on the PSN because of the Go's release, or is it going to be on a UMD? =/ I know it's a bit off topic, but I'd like to know.
