Batman: Arkham Knight

Goddammit, do we really need another one? *Sigh* I want Rocksteady to do literally ANYTHING else. They're super talented and I want to see what they do when they aren't restricted to Batman.

Admittedly, this series did give us the coolest Robin design I've seen. I'm sure it'll be a tight game, I'm just not one to see things like this keep going.

 

To be fair, I think this is totally understandable. Rocksteady want to finish the series they started with what they think will be the best Batman gaming experience ever (not to say Arkham Asylum and Arkham City weren't damn great, those two are some of my favorite games from the 7th Generation.) I'm also really glad that they're the team making the final Arkham game. Arkham Asylum helped get me really into Batman, and Arkham Knight is one of the few sequels to a game series that I've really wanted for a long time.

But I do get that you're tired of Arkham too, and I'm excited for what Rocksteady will do after Arkham Knight.

 

Don't be surprised if this isn't the final Arkham game completely, but the final made by Rocksteady. Especially if Knight does really well, which is likely. I think it's WBs second biggest franchise next to the Lego games. Wouldn't be surprised if it was continued from Origins by WB Montreal or someone else, maybe a handheld or mobile game. Or even a reinvention after a few years, etc.

 

the thing that is driving me to buy this (no pun intended) is the bat mobile. I love the arkham games but this what i've wanted for a while now ever since the original arkham asylum

I really like the look of this villain so far. A visual corruption of Batman that looks like he really could go toe-to-toe with him, and I just love helmets that have glowing eyes like that.

Also, no running over people with the Batmobile, as I predicted. Enemies will try to get the hell out of your way, and ones who are too slow apparently get hit with an "auto-taser gun."

And apparently some of the reasons for pushing this game onto the PS4, Xbox One, and PC were "the city itself and the weather," "the long draw distances," and "copious particle effects."

Wait, Arkham Knight is a character? That they made? DC LET THEM DO THIS?

Before I was like "Well duh it's Arkham of course I'm gonna like it" but now I'm like "Gimme gimme GIMME GIMME GIMME."

 

This game just looks so good to me. The graphics, the plot, the gameplay (even if it wasn't exactly a gameplay perspective,) and even the suit (I actually like the armor-esque looks) ;.;

 

Man, I really need to get a ps3 so I can play the first 3... and then not be able to play this.

 

If you're all right with Steam, the GotY editions go on sale often. You can check the client itself or the Humble Bundle website (They do purchases now).

 

I'm not capable of playing games on this thing. at least not games like that. or not without them lagging to the point of being unplayable.
And there are tons of other games I want on ps3 besides those, so it's something I've been planning for a while, but you know, money.

 

I mean... not to be pushy but you could just get a new rig. :x Would probably cost less in the long run.

 

I still think batman is too slim in this one, but I loved everything else! Don't know if the Arkham Knight will be that dude that

or it will be some other guy, Deathstroke was already some sort of "dark batman" and Hugo Strange could pull that off as well.

 

Doubtful, you're mentioning Hush who is an already established villain, whilst Arkham Knight is specifically a new villain designed for the game. For me, at least, that implies not connected to any villains of the DC universe, though I could be wrong. The amount of people who believe it's the Joker is a bit mental considering I believe they've confirmed he won't be in it. But everyone's expecting it to be a lie and then ta-da.

News: Gamestop is going to have exclusive DLC: you can play part of the story as Red Hood.



No doubt only a timed exclusive, but I am disappointed (yet also not surprised) that they're sticking in store-exclusive content again.

 

There's also ps4-exclusive Scarecrow DLC. This exclusive stuff is turning into bullshit. I can no longer buy a complete game.

Pre-ordering is just a waste of money. Hell, even buying video games near release date is a waste of money. god i hate this industry. you don't see this happen at movie theaters: "SEE THE MOVIE AT REGAL AND GET EXTRA 5 MINUTES OF PLOT" like holy ****, this is dumb.

 

The official release date for Batman: Arkham Knight has been announced as June 2, 2015.
