I have a friend who has been banned for ages and I have no idea if they are ever coming back. I think it would be nice if you could put a small notice on banned members pages saying ' reason for ban' and 'exspected length of ban.' I don't mean put the personal reason for the ban maybe just the subject for exsample "banned for bad mouthing"
Banned members get a ban reason, but only they can see it. Even banned members deserve their privacy. It's the same way with warnings/infractions, only the person who has them (and staff) can see them. If you want to know why someone was banned, you should simply ask the person. Whether they do or don't want to tell you why, that's their business.
Thats just it, many of my friends live in different countories and I (exspecally with one of my friends) didn't get time to ask them for different contact details before they were banned... I guess your right about the privacy. But could we at least see the 'length of ban' so we know weather to hold out hope for them EVER coming back onto the wonderful kh-vids
Really? I can think of a few specific instances where a staff member has said how long someone has left on their ban or even if they're permabanned. I don't see anything wrong with putting up there how long a bannee has left on their banned or a "date ban expires" thing on their profile.
^ You can pm a staff member questioning a ban. The few instances where we just say why someone is banned is usually when there's a billion threads about it. As for the "ban date", I would assume that requires a mod I'm not sure even exists.
