Yes, but then it becomes a case of one member's word vs several others in this case. There is no way to prove what happened without at the very least breaking that "privacy" barrier. That's what I meant by half measure, its almost impossible to give members any reasonable amount of real info, all the while still keeping private things private.

There was a fairly good reason that stuff like this was never discussed beforehand, because handling it was very difficult for both the staff and the users. You can end up hurting a lot of people this way, which is bad for traffic. I advise against it personally, but hey just my opinion. You do you.

 

You're reading into it too much and pretty much guessing what I mean by privately. I meant what I said about not breaking the privacy barrier. If Cat and Tale want me to release the images that were brought to my attention I will happily do so, until then any private messages I get will be discussed in a matter where their privacy isn't jeopardized. Also, this isn't any different then when Misty was in charge, any changes to staff or anything in general was and will be continued to be announced to the public.

That's the thing, no useful information was given, and since you wanted to respect them and maintain a sense of privacy, an announcement (or at least one like that) shouldn't have been made in the first place.

A simple "There are going to be some staff changes, so if anyone wants to join the team apply here" thing could have happened. It conveys the information needed, and doesn't touch on the (apparently) sensitive subject that called for the use of "images"? If these images prove their "bullying", then thats great, but you can't really say

"yeah so these two people did bad stuff and were bullies, but I won't prove it due to their privacy needing to remain in tact". Well I mean, you accused them of something without presenting proof, people don't take kindly to that.

NOW I am not saying you need to give us proof. No that isn't the case at all, its your site. The end

BUT

Don't talk about privacy and then hint at this kind of stuff. If anything it paints these people (they are people remember) in a really bad light for no reason whatsoever. Either be private, or give out the info. Being in the middle will leave a bad taste in many peoples' mouths.

Also when Misty was head honcho, you couldn't really talk about this stuff at all. Like if drama went down within staff, that **** was hush hush. Threads got locked, posts deleted, all to keep the peace. She picked one side and stuck with it.

I can't be the one to give permission since Tale is also involved.

If anything, both of us would have to consent. I will not give a solid yes or no until I have consulted with him, and seeing as how he's on vacation that may take a while.

I'm afraid if I answer one way or the other on my own, it will be taken as both of our consent, and I wouldn't want that mistake to be made.
