yeah Reno from Final Fantasy VII

because they have pretty similiar personality even though it doesn't match the names.

Buuut...Axel's name is Axel. That's kind of the problem :0 Axel's somebody's name would have to be like "Ale", "eal" or "Ael" or something x'3

 

You forgot Lea. His somebody is something that is under a lot of speculation. Until Nomura comfirms it somehow, it could be anybody. I don't think it is Reno, because nobody in KH from Final Fantasy has turned into a heartless. Yet.

 

It's not Reno for sure.They may look alike and be by the same voice actor Quinton Flynn.But that doesn't mean they are connected to eachother.I have heard that Nomura said something about Axel being inspired by Reno.

Yeah, I think that Axel's somebody is Reno too. There's no way Axel could have been a girl because nobody's are the bodies that are left behind, therefore making Axel a girl.

I've actually written a little backstory to try and make sense of how he got his name, element, etc. It's been in a couple fanfics of mine, so it's obviously not canon or anything, but it helps me fill in some plotholes.

*shrugs* I 'unno.

EDIT: I forgot my mini-theory behind the tattoos. Sticking with the story above, I like to think that he still felt guilty in his own way for killing his parents, since they were the only ones he ever had, so for revenge he cut his own cheeks, "crying" with his own blood. When the scars formed, they reminded him he'd never cry for anyone again.

I'm pretty sure that Nomura said it's not Reno, but Axel's inspired by Reno. Not sure where the actual source is, but Axel's somebody isn't Reno, that's for sure.​

 

It's DEFINITELY NOT Reno. I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed.
Nomura wanted to place a SIMILAR character in a DIFFERENT environment.
Axel was inspired by Reno and made to be as close to him as possible, hence same voice actor, but it's not him.

its not like they're going to introduce the Somebodies of Saix, Demyx, Luxord, Marluxia, or Larxene
and the Somebodies of the other six aren't really important anyway, its just a backstory

 

well, i've heard that Axel was based off Reno. someone told me his favoirte drink was Ale so that's Axel's somebody's name.

I really want to know who his somebody is. But until we figure it out, I'm just going to say it's Reno. He has almost everything in common, and I know he was like, inspired by Reno. You never know, it could be some random person no one has seen before, or doesn't even exist until some new KH game.
