358/2 Days Axel keeps too much...

Why does Axel keep so much from Roxas? I mean, I just couldn't keep that up. If I knew one thing Roxas didn't, I would tell him like an hour long story of EVERYTHING that happened in the past and whats gonna happen and.....look I just don't get it. What would happen to Axel if he told? Would they like kill him or somthin? Way to annoying. Post when you can.

 

I haven't played Days, but from KH2, I'd say it's just because that's just the kind of guy Axel is.
Plus, he wouldn't want to say anything that would upset his best friend.

 

Well i think even though Roxas did listen to Axel's explanation about Roxas's past Roxas wouldn't just go "oh ok lets go back to this mysterious organization my best friend I don't remember". Roxas would still be doubtful about Axel. Also Axel's mission was to retrieve Roxas. During that time he did whatever the organization commanded without question up until Roxas returned back to Sora (sorry if Im wrong about this. Memories of days are a bit fuzzy)

 

Also...just to add you have to remember that Axel is limited on what he can do because of him being in the organization and everyone dutys was assigned specifically by Xemnas.; Axel wanted Roxas to remember his friendship with Axel what he had forgot during KH2. While playing Days I did feel pretty bad for Roxas (mainly becuse half of the time he'd like be sad and put his head down.

In my opinion, Roxas's nature is a lot like Sora's. Even Riku realized this during his fight with Roxas. So I think that if Axel really told Roxas EVERYTHING about who he really was, that he was the Nobody of the keyblade hero that fights the darkness, then Roxas would have probably left the Organization. And who knows, maybe he would have been like Xion. When she found out the truth about her existence...

...she wanted to return to Sora to awaken him. Even when Axel goes to get her and they face off in front of the mansion in Twilight Town, he even says something like this (I'm paraphrasing here), "I always thought that was for the best, but something about this stinks." I think he wants Sora to awaken, but he doesn't like that Xion has to disappear for it to happen. Same goes for Roxas. If he knew everything, in time he would realize that he has to return to Sora and have to disappear.

True that they wouldn't "kil" him, but he was threatened that Xemnas would turn him into a Dusk. Notice in this video that Xaldin's spear does not intimidate him (Axel is SO cool) but when Xemnas holds up his hand, then Axel tends to listen.

I hated Axel when he did that. Roxas is his best friend which gives him the right to know what's going on. He knew about Xion being a puppet. He knew about Sora being Roxas's Somebody. He knew that there was a fake friendship with him and Xion. He KNEW what the Orginization was planning, but Roxas learned the hard way. Roxas ran away so he could find the truth and Sora. Find what they were planning. He found it alright, but not from his friend like he sould've. Axel may be cool, but he should think about his friends before himself.

 

I think the reason Axel kept things from Roxas was because he thought that it would be better that way, for Roxas not knowing about certain things & for them both to go on with their life in the organization. I mean thats what Axel really wanted,for him to hang out with his friends eating ice cream.And he probably knew that if Roxas found out way too much, all of that would be over.

 

What I don't get is that the Organisation specifically didn't want Roxas back if he didn't remember. In the second fight with Axel, Roxas says that he remembers. Axel then tests him, asking what their leader's name is. Roxas is unable to reply, so Axel sighs and tries to kill him.

Wait, what?

Roxas offered to go back with him. If Axel had simply nodded, and taken Roxas along, he would have been fine and dandy. Sure, some memory loss problems. Big deal. The guy can learn them again. But he didn't, because Roxas didn't remember. Instead, the Organisation tried to destroy Roxas, so that Sora wouldn't reform.

Something isn't right here.

 

Maybe Axel got scarred from Saix suddenly changing.

I mean, have you noticed his weird obsession with friendship? If someone was your friend, you don't just lash out at them and bring them back then act like everything's normal. You at least talk with them, try to convince them, then if they don't, THEN you bring out the chakrams.

His mindset probably went like "If Roxas knows everything, he might just leave the Organization." and he would be forced to try and keep Roxas in the Organization. Knowing Roxas, he would push for more answers if Axel just gave him a vague idea, too. To Axel, he probably didn't want to risk ANYTHING.

Of course, I could be horribly wrong, but this seems a bit likely. A bit.

 

He probably didn't wanna hurt his friend. If I was Roxas I know I would be pretty bummed out if I found out all the stuff Axel hid from me.

 

The less Roxas knew, the better. Axel wanted to follow the Organization..Xemnas's orders, but also wanted to help out his best friend. So there were just some things he had to keep. Not all of course...

 

Roaxa would throw questions right and left and Axel didn't want to repeat himself. In a way he could of been protecting Roxas since the keyblade wielder didn't know much the better. It was all risks if you think about it. Axel wanted to stay loyal with the organization, but he was threatened by the higher ups with the orders. in Kh2 Axel knew that Roxas wouldn't come back without a fight and then Diz was messing things up for them. Axel didn't have time to tell him stuff. He was probably going to knock him out and then bring him back to the castle, however Diz made sure of it. In the second confrontation Axel lost the fight, but was too weak to carry on his tasks so he left Roxas alone. Because of this what made the organzation think that he betrayed them.
