No, because if Axel's name was Alex, his Organization XIII name would have to be Axxel.

And he doesn't have a heart. Just look at him in CoM, he was exactly like the other Organization members. He only FELT like he had a heart, because of Roxas, as was pointed out earlier.

I see why his name wouldn't be Alex. Of course, that would KINDA' make sense if everyone's name in Organization XIII was just scrambled up. Right?

And, yeah, I'll admit while he did FEEL like he had a heart, there's no truth to the theory that he HAS a heart for real. I mean, come on, the dude's basically just remembering a pas friendship with Roxas, or something, His Nobody would probably do that to him.

 

His name could be Alex. There's nothing saying that Xemnas didn't just arrange the letters of his name really if there was an X already there. Otherwise the only real options are Lea and Lae and Ale...which all seem kind of lame. It'd be cool in a way if his name always was just Axel. He fits his name well.

On the note of having a Heart though, Axel doesn't have one. He remarks he felt as if he did because he had memories of having a Heart and his friendship with Roxas made him feel it was possible again. The Nobodies don't have Hearts but they do have souls. Some things may just go and transcend beyond emotion to the soul if you think about it, so something that was really important to a Nobody, may be something that can be acquired. Also, in some ways I see the Nobodies as empathic, meaning they may feel other people's emotions, even if they can't experience their own. Hence why he said what he did about Sora. Also, Larxene was a sadist so if there was no way of her getting anything out of it, I don't see why she'd bother. Saix was another that liked to torment people.

Another thing to note is that Namine was an unusual Nobody in that she was considered to be less there than some of the others. This is because Kairi never lost her body...Riku found it in KH and took care of her. Sora had her heart, so all that was there really of Namine was her Soul, which did seek out Sora to save her. Just something to ponder here.
