Average Teens

Turning, Kara tentatively touched a leaf with her finger. "You're right..." she murmured. Looking back at Shou, she remarked, "So then...this is like...inside somewhere?"

 

"Like a greenhouse perhaps... inside the school..." Shou scratched the back of his head. "Wow... the place is even bigger than I thought..."

 

"I'm surprised a school would have something like this...but the maze?" Kara asked, tilting her head up, looking at him.

 

"Let's just find a way out of here. I'm sure we'll come to an exit if we keep moving forward." Shou suggested.

 

Kara nodded. "Yeah...so you're completely rested now though, Shou?"

 

"I guess so... why?" SHou responded.

 

"You said your feet were staring to hurt a bit earlier...so I was just concerned," Kara shrugged. Placing a smile upon her face, she exclaimed, "But now that we're ready to go...let's hurry onward!"

 

"Very well... so which way are we headed?" Shou asked as he looked around.

 

"Straight ahead!" Kara pointed forward, as that was the first direction to pop into her head.

 

Shou started to walk towards the direction that Kara had pointed. "I hope we get there quickly..."

 

"Then let's race there!" Kara suggested, her eyes twinkling with excitement. "It'd be fun, and we'd get there faster!"

 

"Fine, but I won't let you win." Shou said as he did some stretches.

 

"Neither will I," Kara remarked, smiling. "Well, you ready?"

 

Shou took off without saying a word. He made a mad dash for the edge of the garden. "Hurry, or You'll never catch up!" He yelled back at Kara.

 

Kara laughed as she turned, dashing off to catch up with Shou. "Hey, you didn't say 'go'!"

 

"I just wanted to hurry and get this over with." Shou said quickening his pace. weaving in between trees, He widened the gap a but between him and Kara.

 

Kara put more speed into her running, as she went around the lush vegetation, beginning to lose sight of Shou, as the leaves obscured him.
"Shou, are you still there?" she called over to him. "Shou?"

 

Shou stopped and waited for her to catch up. "Just keep moving forward... I've already found an exit!" He yelled out. Sheesh... I tried to warn her...

 

As Kara was about to reach the exit, she stumbled over a rock. As she struggled to catch her balance, she began to fall into the river nearby...

 

Shou heard a splash. Crap... Shou ran to the side of the river, and jumped in. He quickly grabbed kara and swam to shore, where he layed her there. "Hey you ok?" He asked as he shook her a bit.
