Average Teens

As Kara gazed about, she could practically feel her mouth drop open. The thick wall weaved about the room like a giant maze - or maybe labyrinth would be more appropriate. However, as Shou had pointed out, there was a door at the far end of the room...leading to who knows where.
"Well, let's head over there then!" she exclaimed as she took a step forward.

 

"Just head for the light." Shou started swiftly jumping over the gaps between each wall, and in no time at all was heading right for the door. "Hurry up!" He called back.

 

Kara nodded, as her eyes quickly scanned the scene. Seeing as how walking straight on would probably take too long, she decided to leap across the gaps, following Shou's trail, her long silky red hair flowing out behind her as she did. At last, she reached the door beside him, and she smiled widely.
"That was a lot of fun actually," she laughed.

 

"If you say so..." Shou said as he put his hand on the knob of the door. "This is one weird school..." He said before turning the knob and opening the door.

As the door opened, sunlight streamed through, and Kara squinted, her eyes unaccustomed from the darkness they had been immersed within for so long. She could hear the sound of birds and the gentle flow of water, yet everything was still so bright.
Blinking, she gasped at the sight before her.
There was lush plants and bushes everywhere, with several tall palm trees, casting long shadows upon the fresh, green grass. On the side was a bubbling stream, coming from a rushing waterfall far behind. Several exotic birds flew across the bright, blue sky, and other unique creatures pranced about.
"Wow..." she remarked, awestruck. "This is like...like...a paradise, or an island of some sort..."

"So where exactly are we?" Shou asked as he looked around. Somehow all the clouds and rain had left, and Shou was a little curious. Not too long ago he was hearing loud thunder from outside, but now everything was calm and serene.

 

Glancing at Shou, Kara remarked, "I have no idea..." Walking forward, she remarked, "It'd be weird if this was all just a dream or something..."

 

"So... do you think we're outside the building? I guess we chould find a way back in..." Shou suggested.

 

Looking over her shoulder, Kara shrugged. "I don't know...if we head back, we'd probably end up back in that maze again..." She turned, gazing about at the beautiful scenery once more. "Besides, this place looks wonderful...we ought to explore!"

 

"That sounds like a drag... what if we get lost?" Shou walked forward. "It seems like the trees and vegitation only get thicker the farther you go."

 

"Oh, those are all 'what-if's," Kara remarked, waving her hand nonchalantly. "I'm sure we'll be fine. Besides, if all else fails, we'll just head back the way we came!"

 

"Oh yeah, Cuz that worked so well last time." Shou said sarcastically as he crossed his arms.

 

"Don't be so pessimistic, Shou!" Kara exclaimed, as she turned, walking over to him. "Just lighten up, have some fun, and explore!"
Reaching out, she took his arm, and briskly turned, beginning to dash further into the landscape.

 

"What exactly are do you expect to find out here? What if we get in trouble for skipping?" Shou asked as he was dragged along reluctantly further into the forest by Kara.

 

"Well, because I don't know what's out there, I want to explore it!" Kara exclaimed. "And well, we'll just tell them that we tried to find the office, got lost, and ended up in this crazy place!"

 

"This forest is so big... I don't remember hearing anything about this anywhere." Shou remarked as he looked around. "Can we stop running now? My feet are starting to hurt a bit."

 

Hearing Shou's words, Kara slowed to a stop. Turning around to face him, she remarked, "Think we're in the garden or a backyard or something?"

 

"Kinda big for a garden, but I suppose that's a possibility." Shou looked up at the sky. "Man... it's really bright out..." Shou looked at the plants around him. His eyes widened, as if he had realized something.

 

Looking at Shou, Kara tilted her head to the right slightly. "Something wrong?"

 

Shou held a plants leaf in his hand. Afterwards, he put his hand to the grass and shifted his fingers through it. "These plants... the grass. everything here..." Shou Got up and looked at Kara. "It's all competely dry, not a drop of rain or due on a single blade of grass."
