Avengers(Possible?) Movie discussion.

First off, let me say that the incredible Hulk kicks so much ass. Great movie.

Second, I know that some of you out there have already been thinking about this. You may or may not be a member of this site, but I know that there are. Marvel is up to something big. Bigger than anything they've done as of yet. they're actually strung together Iron Man and The Hulk! this is only the beginning though. More will come, all being connected by the same thread. and that thread is "The Avengers."

Most of you will know of the iron man tidbit after the credits. This is what got a lot of people thinking, probably.
Iron Man: (Highlight for spoilers)

After the credits roll, we find Tony Stark returns to his home, finding to his surprise, that the Director of SHIELD is there waiting.
Movie ends with Nick Fury mentioning the Avengers prodject.


By itself, not all that much. Sign posting a sequal to be sure. But after seeing the ending of the Hulk, this got me to thinking.

The Incredible Hulk:
General Ross sits in a bar, drinking his sorrows away.
Who should walk in but Tony Stark, finding the General in such a pitiful state.
They exchange verbal abuse, as to their nature, and ends with Tony saying that he needs Ross's help putting together a "team."

After seeing this, I just started laughing. Because I thought that this can only lead to one thing. Marvel is Bringing the Avengers to the cinematic screens in a way Never thought possible. Creating movies about the original members of the Avengers, then bringing it to a glorious movie adventure!

However, I have reason to believe that not everybody in the original Avengers will make it to the big screens before the Movie. Some of them were strictly small time, and never grew in popularity, such as the ant man and the wasp. The full roster was:
Iron Man
The Hulk
Ant-Man
The Wasp
Thor
Captain America(Replaced Hulk on team in issue four of the original series. Soon became the identifying figure)

I have reason to doubt that they would do movies on the Ant-man and Wasp(But still possible), but I think we can look forward to a movie of Thor and Captain America. Maybe one possible ending of a captain america movie is where they finaly find him trapped in the ice, like they did in the original run?

I don't know for sure what Marvel has planned, but one thing's for sure. They are doing it in a big way. and they've already got two of the original team. They're probably going to do the rest in the next two years or so, if they're gonna do what I think they're going to at all.

Anybody have thoughts?

 

I am fully psyched to see an Avengers movie.

Simmer down. They have plenty of others to do before they get to the Avengers.

I dunno much about Ant-Man's story or The Wasp in general either D:

 

I'm pretty sure Thor and Captain America movies have been confirmed.
I've heard nothing about Ant-Man or The Wasp movies, and in order to get an Avengers movie out in a few years, they're probably gonna have to cut a few things out. Maybe give a little backstory for the ones they didn't make a movie for, or mention them in another Marvel movie (similar to the cameos in the X-Men movies).

But yes, Avengers is definitely something to look forward to. 8D

 

A few years if they have already begun working on it. If not, probably around 2013, 2014.

 

Marvel is getting quickly ready for the movie, they are making Thor and Captain America movies right before they release the Avengers.

 

I know Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead,Hot Fuzz) is making an Ant-Man movie

So he'll most likely be in it

 

He can become as giant as the Statue of Liberty and mentally order ants.

I read somewhere on the internet that they were thinkin about having Spiderman in the avengers movie as well. Even though I doubt it will happen. I think it will be: Ironman, Hulk, Captain America, Antman and Warmachine maybe.

Sort of. Originally, he joined, but then became a reserve member of the Avengers (way back in the dark ages known as the '90's), then became a full time member of the New Avengers today.

I haven't checked Marvel recently, but they've already did a Captain America movie, which they had full control over, back in '92. Why are they making another one?

 

Mabee it didnt go over well, like the first Hulk

Hopfully they'll drop Ant-man and add Spider-Man instead

 

Lol, I wish, but I doubt that'll happen; Naw, Spidey's more 'legendary' team-ups are with the X-Men. He practically fits right in with them.

The person I want to see with the avengers is Captain Marvel (Genis). We haven't seen much of the power cosmic in movies yet; not since the Silver Surfer.
