That happened with me, too. Maybe it's a browser thing? I was using Firefox, what about you? I dunno.

Well, that being said, let's get to the episode itse--

THINK OF SOMETHING NEW TO SAY CURSE YOUUUU

    Assorted thoughts:
    • That was not the Toph/Kuvira showdown I was hoping for, but I guess it was something.
    • "[Lin's father] was a man named Kanto. Nice guy." /INB4 SU'S DAD IS NAMED JOHTO
    • Bolin fanboying over Toph was perfect.
    • Bataar Sr. was perfect.
    • Aw, look, Bataar Jr. really does still care about his family!
    • pfffff Opal tried to pass Juicy off onto someone else
    • did i miss something in the past two seasons that would indicate wing/wei being into bolin? 'cuz that face stroke was kinda out of nowhere
    • YEAH SU SLAYYYYYY
    • YEAH KUVIRA SLAYYYYYY
    • METALBENDING IS THE FRIGGIN COOLEST GET OUTTA MY FAAAAACE
    • snap, that spirit was kinda right about korra
    • wu i was so proud of you why did you have to open your mouth more ;_;

Tried both Firefox and Chrome, with AdBlocker and Ghostery disabled. Resorted to an unofficial stream.

Man oh man I am loving these Metalbending fights.
Was a little disappointed that Korra didn't get to do that much again.
Surprised they let Prince Wu have a moment of decency, but then my surprise vanished when he revealed his strong sexism.
I got Metal Gear vibes from that Spirit Cannon

KUVIRA HAS A FREAKING JAEGER WITH A RAIL GUN PLS NERF
Seriously though, I have no clue how Korra's going to beat this thing. Every other opponent's been either a really good but still human bender, or been put on a level playing field with Korra. Thing thing just seems damn impossible right now.
Also, man this episode gets suspense down perfectly. I was impressed that Korra actually figured out a way to pressure Batar Jr. without, like, breaking his arm or something. Said it before, but they're really redeeming her.

Kuvira needs to be taken down!

There, now Amaury doesn't have to say it

If I had to put money on one character not making it out of that warehouse, I'd say Suyin.

But seriously, wow, this episode. I couldn't pick my jaw up this whole ep. Did not expect the Colossus at all. (tbh visually at least and a little thematically it reminds me of the God-Warrior from Nausicaa) I love how much they managed to do in this episode without it feeling rushed or smooshed. But wow, Kuvira sacrificing Bataar. I especially liked how she clearly didn't want to get rid of him, but she had come so far that she couldn't reconcile giving up on her goal of reuniting the Earth Empire. Wow.

Kurvia has a giant Super battle Droid with a death canon. She's destroyed all the hummingbirds they planned to deploy. She is sacrificing whatever she can to keep the upper hand.
This is what makes things all the more interesting about this antagonist. It's still a take over mentality, but dammit the execution is just so perfect. Keeping team Avatar as down as they are is just going to make things all the more glorious when they defeat her.

Characters that are probably dead, from most likely to least likely to me:
    Wing/Wei -> Mako -> Bolin -> Opal -> Tenzin

Characters that are definitely alive: Korra, Su, Bataar Jr.

I think Su's gonna live because I swear Bryan or someone from the crew posted an image of her and Lin from color correction during the finale. Korra has guarenteed plot armor till she fends off with Kuvira (plus she jumped pout of the way of the blast & debris) so I'm not worried about her. One of the twins or Opal dying would definitely hit Bataar's "WHAT HAVE I DONE," not to mention one of the twins dying would further the Weasleys parallel~

Mako has a high chance of dying since he was the closest to the window and whatever else was going on. Which is sad because I really started liking him these last two seasons and WUKO ;~; There is literally no reason to kill Tenzin anymore; the best point was when he was fighting off Zaheer & co. and the plot was about the Airbenders, could have hit home for Korra and Jinora, and allowed Tenzin to really feel like he made the impact he was always chasing after.

Anyway, I don't really care about the Colossus or Kuvira's role in the plot? As a character she's great, but it feels like there are no real stakes to this? Republic City is on the line, yeah, but...I don't care about Republic City, lmao. Maybe I would care more about the fate of the city if she was actually destroying it, but all we've seen so far is her sink a couple of boats and a building.

Speaking of which, is it me or does she just really want to kill Korra, lol? As soon as Kuvira saw her on the bison she immediately tried to blast her out of the sky. It would be interesting if Kuvira was doing this so she could control the next Avatar (since they'll be born in the Earth Kingdom), but there's been 0 buildup to that.

All that said, I do think they're handling it well despite my apathy towards it & I am preferring this a lot more than the UnaVaatu mess (although that thing is much bigger than 25 stories, c'mon now).

edit: Preview clip released. No one is dead, I'm kind of pissed at this lol.

I agree with Plums. Someone should have died! lol.

I was most expecting Su/Opal to bite it. I figured that would be the turning point for Bataar. But I guess that her betrayal of him will cover that anyway. It still seems like a cop out that they're all okay though.

I agree with Mish and Plums; someone should have died in order for that big moment to actually have held weight, and move the story forward in a way that isn't just more of "KUVIRA IS BEATING US SUPER HARD GUYS"

If anything, I'd want one of the brothers to die in order for Bataar Jr. to completely open his eyes to what Kuvira's become.

I just saw the article under Trending on Facebook. However, I never used Google for Korra, I just stopped by the the Nick website every Friday sometime after 9:00 AM.[DOUBLEPOST=1418993221][/DOUBLEPOST]I thought each book was only 12 episodes? Book four had 13, but did the clips episode not count?

I was kind of wishing all of the allies who appeared in the series would have shown up for the finale, such as Katara and Toph.

Anyway, is it just me or does anyone else think there might be a sequel, either direct or indirect? The way they had the ending, with Mako saying he'd always follow Korra into battle and have her back, Korra telling Tenzin she still has much to learn, and then, finally, Korra and Asami going to the spirit world for vacation -- maybe show them on vacation and whatnot -- seemed to imply that.

As a final note, the battle with Kuvira's robot reminded me of the battle with VenomMyotimson in Digimon Adventure, specifically episodes 38 and 39 (Prophecy and The Battle for Earth): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Digimon_Adventure_episodes

This was easily the best that "Legend of Korra" has ever been...and now it's over...bittersweet is an understatement.

First, the Colossus battle...was just as awesome as I had hoped. No stupid deus ex Jinora and giant blue Korra like in Book 2: actual strategy and teamwork. It held a lot of weight too because we knew this was the end of the series. Anyone could have died. I'm glad to see Hiroshi at least found redemption.

Next, the final dual between Korra and Kuvira. It felt like a boss battle between two bitter rivals, so yeah, perfect. Maybe would have made it a little longer, but just because I loved watching all the Bending and stuff. Kuvira getting the cannon again was a pretty "OH SHI-" moment.

Then, Korra and Kuvira having that heart-to-heart in the Spirit World. I think it was done pretty well, but should have been longer. It felt like Korra said one thing that made Kuvira realize her wrongs, when it shoulda been a bit more argument and dialogue from Korra to show her development. Eh, I'll settle fine with what we got.

    AND THEN

    THE BEST PART

    KORRA AND ASAMI

    ARE CANON
