Television Avatar: Legend of Korra

I am immensely excited for the upcoming finale. I gawked at the revelation of Iroh, oh lord. What are your predictions - do you believe the United Forces will drive out the Equalists and the second season will take place in the city again, the Equalists will beat the United Forces and Team Avatar will flee, or the Equalists will still beat the United Forces but Team Avatar will stay in an Equalist-controlled Republic City? Personally I see the story inclining slightly towards the Equalists winning and the second season involving the recapturing or liberation of Republic City. What I would like to see, however, is how much the rest of the world outside of Republic City has changed - especially what the United Republic is quite like.

Do any of you have any ideas as to what the title of Book 2 may be? We have "Air" for Book 1, but beyond that we are out of bending disciplines, no?

Nooooooooooo not Lin, couldn't those bison fly any faster? I hope that she gets her bending back though I doubt it. Also i loved how casually Tenzin took out those window cleaning equalists trying to ambush him. I have a feeling that Asami is going to be a b*tch and betray team avatar in some way.

Hyped for the season finale!

 

um, nice question, maybe, it will be Air, Part 2? i highly doubt that she will be able to Completely Master AB in 2 episodes, or maybe, "Spirit" Or "Spiritism" considering she has never entered the avatar state At all, well, im stoked for the season finale, I hope we find out who amon is, I dont think we will tough.

 

HOT DAMN THAT WAS AMAZING

Amon. A bloodbender. I CALLED IT. That was a really sad ending for him and Tarrlok. I love the writing for these guys. Never completely evil, which makes them all the more realistic.

Korra in Avatar State was EPIC. I cannot wait for the next book. They're gonna have to have a really powerful villain to suit her now, and Amon was already badass.

Yeah? Well I called Amon was Tarrlok's brother AND MOST CERTAINLY TOTALLY CALLED that Amon had gotten surgery like his father aka some underworld boss.



But yeah, the episode was just too rushy imo. It's not the best, buuuut. Eh, I got up early for it. Whatever it's Legend of Korra.

 

All of these were really great, and that first point was something that I had never expected.

Still, they never told us just how bloodbending held the power to take away other forms of bending. I don't know, it just bugged me a bit.

I wanted to cry when Tarlokk and Noahtok had their tough times as kids and in the boat, and the way all of that was executed was just brilliant.
Asami and her father... man, that subplot shows you just how much revenge can twist a person, as well as with Yakon and his kids. Now that I think about it, revenge seems to have been a key theme for Book 1.
Seeing Korra in the Avatar state was unexpected and I'm glad that she was able to get her bending back, as well as reversing the effect on everyone else.
Though it may have been brief, the scene at the end Bumi was hilarious (although the timing couldn't have been more inappropriate).
"Jailbreak!" Need I say more?

All in all, the writers did quite an amazing job with this, and I am seriously looking forward to Book 2.

 

Yeah dude, I caught the voice of Aang, too. I think it is the same voice actor.

And ROFL yeah Bumi was just ****ing amazing. Out of ALL the characters, even though he only had that short scene, he's the best character imo.


HAHAHAHA it was so unexptected, I laughed outloud.

Now I wonder what Kya's doing, and I hope we'll see Suki, Zuko, Mai, and Ty Lee in the next season. Curious as to what happened to them.

Oh my god, that is pretty much exactly how their relationship ended.

Poor Asami, between losing her father's sanity and losing Mako, I can't imagine how low she may stoop soon.

HOLY **** THAT WAS OMG but did anyone else think that Aang was not transparent enough? Like he looked alive. That was so emotionally amazing. And the best part was when Noahtok's face makeup faded and he was just in a giant whirlpool of water like "oh **** i'm busted"
I have to say Tarrlok has offically taken the "not as much of a jerk as you could as been" award from Zuko
And I'm just going to say that I feel bad for Asami, but I love MakoXKorra lovin, and hope she gets with the new General Iroh or something and her father goes completely insane because she keeps going for firebenders or something. Holy crap kickass.

 

I dunno dude, isn't that prediction something that would look obvious? (Obviously why a lot of people think that lol) Besides, I think Iroh's personality would be like Mako's. I mean, not that it's a bad thing, but it would be like dating Mako again, but with another dude, y'know?

I think Bolin would be the guy somehow imo. Not saying it's gonna happen and I guess I know the chances are slim, but you never know, y'know?



Also, I don't think Mako was being a jerk in the last few episodes. I mean sure Asami was being a ***** and blaming Mako and hating him, so he got a bit pissed too. I don't think it's his fault wth Asami, but he did confess his love for Korra and w/e.

Damn.

i just watched this for the first time the other day. it was like a marathon of the first season of sumthin. i thought it would be terrible but after watching it i can say its phenomenal.

 

does anyone else feel like the Legend of Korra writers are phenomenal with everything except the romance? i swear in my opinion those scenes are awful.

So, with Book 2 coming in another half a year, what's everyone's expectations?

Thoughts on the exposition of the Spirit World (finally <3333), who you think should see more character development, and so on.

Really really hoping for more Asami and Bolin. Bolin had the potential to be really great, but with the tight schedule + all, his character is lacking a bit. I'm super curious about how Asami dealt with the whole Makorra thing, and even more so on what her relationship with her dad is like now and see her grow into the Badass Normal she can really be.

 

What I want most of all with Book 2 is pacing. Book 1 felt like it was rushed sooooo much. I understand the writers had fewer episodes to work with, but they should have adjusted the story accordingly. Pacing is why we barely got anything substantial with Bolin and Asami, the ending was as BS as it turned out (Korra just cries and learns Avatar state AND gets back all her bending...ok?), and Amon fell apart as a villain.
