I know everyone is sad about Lin and her losing her bending. Quite a tragedy. Happier note for me though, Zuko named his son after his uncle! I can not get over that. That made me smile so wide!

 

Yes, Amon is a Beach, Lin is Epic as always, however i do expect her and everyone else, getting their bending back, in the end of avatar, korra will do some thing crazy u-u, going to watch episode 10 in a few minutes, will give you guys my review on it soon, good to see a guy, with zukos voice, thats his grandson named iroh.

 

kay, i watched it, lin really did get her bending took away, I Hate amon even more for this, she went down fighting, she was awesome tearing up those blimps, as for tenzins children...

BEST PART OF THE EPISODE! "Stay away from my daddy's ex-girlfriend!"? really, that was amazing, the all fought epic-ly, good to see zukos son or grandson or what-ever helping out, and good to see he has zukos voice, this episode was over-all sad, for the city and lin, but i believe that in the finale, lin will still fight somehow, Korra will AB and Enter the avatar state and kisck amon's but, I Want Asami and mako should get togeather.

As glad as I am to see Zuko's son/grandson and hear his voice, I don't like the matchup. His voice doesn't really go with his appearance, imo. Anyway, badass episode. I think my favorite part was when Naga *****slapped Mustache-guy.
Also, Amon doesn't mess around. I'm glad that he took Lin's bending away since it really just keeps working him up as a badass villain. But seriously? Most bad guys gloat and try to persuade/torture their victims for information; Amon gave her one chance and she didn't take it, so bam! No bending.

"Tell me where the avatar is and I'll let you keep your bending."
"I won't tell you anything, you monsters!"
"Alright, bitch, fuck you and your bending!"

I think that's part of the reason that he's such a successful villain. When he was giving the demonstration earlier in the season, he never gave any of the criminals a chance to keep their bending (same thing with Tarrlok). The difference with Lin was that she wasn't a ruthless gang member and she didn't abuse her power, so Amon gave her a chance and kept his word when she didn't take it.

Even for the antagonist of a "kid's show", he's a pretty powerful villain; he can instill fear in us as much as he does it in Korra, and I think they did well to make him the "no second chances" sort of guy that they did.

Sad to say, but I agree. He sounds just like a teenager, not a general. That aside, I'm sure he'll still be a great character and I look forward to seeing him in the show.

Onto the episode overall...

LIIIINNNNN ;___________; you were so badass. why. why did you lose your bending.

I love the airbabies. I literally thought, when the island was first attacked, "it would be cool if tenzin's kids used airbending :B" and BAM. Though I gotta say, I don't like Meelo all that much. His brand of 'airbending' is just.. a little immature for this show, imo. It just doesn't fit the mood.

 

Dude, this is the first time we see General Iroh. I wouldn't be making a fast conclusion since we still haven't seen what he's like. In my opinion, Im glad it's the same voice actor. It brings some nostalgia to the show. I couldn't help but smile when when they panned the camera up to get a look at his face. "**** yeah"


As for Amon being a villain, I don't really see him as one. He's fighting for his reasons, and he's not really doing anything evil. Just, you know, taking away bending and shiet like nobody's business. Well, he does pose a threat to the characters, so it makes him a villain? But then again he's just working towards a purpose, and a lot of people are against him.

I don't wanna get into that.

This latest episode probably made us realize never to mess with air benders, even if they're kids, and especially if their name is Meelo. Holy crap, that kid was just crazy with his air bending....and I'm sure that Equallist got the message when he ended up with an air-bended fart in the face. Lin's reaction to that was just perfect

 

That would have been too cliché with the name.

So just because Hitler did that, Amon is bad now? Amon and Hit are two totally different people.



But yeah k.

 

Yep, she just said no, even when threatened, thats what i love about her, i also wanted to see him named anng, but ohh well, i never tough it was possible to have so much hate over an Anime Character but amon really took the cake, he is a DB! ohh well, who else is pumped for the double episode finale?! only problem is They just take to long to Down-, err, watch.

 

So, about Iroh: someone made a song.

Goddess, I love this fandom.

 

Oh my gosh, it's actually incredibly impressive. Especially considering he has been a character for less than 48 hours and has only had one line. Also something that made me lol off TV tropes 'Zuko's son/grandson is the general of the United Forces. Probably one of the highest honours in the world. D'awww

I don't know, I love how it was Zuko's grandson that's coming to rescue Republic City and help the team, but the voice really really threw me off. It seems like they forced Dante Basco's voice onto him for the sake of connecting him to Zuko and making the fangirls go cray after the moment with Lin. (I have nothing against him though, he's a great voice actor!)

Such a great episode. Lin going down in flames was bittersweet. Amon being a real villain and not monologue-ing instead of actually taking her bending away, Naga b!tch-slapping Mustache Guy ("GET DAT SHIT OUTTA HERE"), the Airbender kids being useful, Rohan (such a BADASS name) being born, and finally Zuko's grandson, General Iroh.

I was kinda hoping for more attention being given to Korra again. Still, I am fully hyped for the season finale.
