@thekeymaster: I see your point on how they both share similarities. But, then again, how does the element bending in Avatar relate to Kingdom Hearts' names?

And wasn't Avatar an idea in America? and Kingdom Hearts with Japan and Beuna Vista?

Agreed. Avatar is pretty original. And your evidence is pretty flimsy.

 

Oh come on. air and water are common elements and they match
the characters pesonalities. Just like fire or darkness.
Now, its probably coincidence. but the similarities between
kh and ff7 are undeniable.

 

Kingdom Hearts & Avatar are as similiar together as a frog and a dodo wearing a bowtie speaking with an Irish accent, whose mother is a half-eaten buzzard.

Because everything KH was a completely virginal, clean idea which poppped out of no where and further more, anything after it with similar elements is obviously a blatant rip.

I believe this thread should be closed as well for the flaming issues.

 

I've waatched Avatar since Day 1 of their adventure, but there's nothing of the same sort within the two. If their names were Sora and Kairi, though, and they still had the same elements, that could be a problem. But, there really is no reason they copied/meant to copy Kingdom Hearts.

....for some reason, the more I think about it, the more I can see a crossover between Kingdom Hearts and Avatar...

 

It's hardly copying, it's their elements not their names meaning, and the main kid uses all 4 elements, he just learned air first.
