I got to see this in Imax 3D New Year's Eve. I was very impressed with the whole thing; the story, the characters, the details, everything.

Oddly enough I will not be getting this when it comes out on DVD. I just don't feel that my home theater setup will do the 3D much justice, and I guess once I go Imax it's hard to turn back.

Saw it yesterday night (2D). It was quite impressive and all that, brilliant final confrontation I must say. They also did a fine job taking the Big Book Of Movie Plot Clichés literally. Avatar was great and I don't regret watching it but it has the most predictable story I've seen in a decade.

Saw it in IMAX 3D about a week ago, I must say, it was incredible but the 3D didn't 'pop' as much as I thought it was going to, and the IMAX wasn't as big as it seemed at the museum or whatever since it was built differently this time... Overall I'm not sure it was worth the extra money it was to see it in IMAX 3D over normal, but it was definitely a fantastic film. Cliched, yes, but cliche done right.

Absolutely ADORED this movie! I couldn't stop talking about it the next day.

My boyfriend and I went to see it in 3D, and though not much of the 3D jumped out (unlike the Alice in Wonderland preview--jeez, that scared the crap outta me), it was still awesome. It wasn't like things flew out at you, but more like you were standing there and watching it.

The storyline was awesome, and a little sad. But I liked the ending a lot. And the graphics were amazing. I was in awe.

I really liked it. Prolly the best movie I've seen in ages.

.... It wasn't cut out. o.O They may have toned it down, but it was definitely there. It wasn't completely obvious what they were doing; younger kids would probably have just thought they were hugging.

My favourite movie for a real long time. Exxcellent in 3D, I hope they do the same for a DVD/Blue-ray release.

I unfortunately have to agree with some saying 'it's a rip-off of Pocahontas'
The plots undertones are very similar, yet the way it was executed, the modernisation and lush flora and fauna just melted that fact away.
A Sci-fi film that's quite down too Earth is really tough to make.

I saw Avatar awhile ago but I didn't see it in 3D. Nothing really seemed like it would be "sooooo much better in 3D". The story was a little predictable but the graphics made it pretty. I enjoyed watching it.

Hehe, yeah it was awkward enough with the toned down 'hugging'.. . I can't imagine the uncut version! :poketoungeb:
