Has anyone else gone to see James Camerons Avatar yet. It is one of the most amazing movies i've ever seen. The story was orignal and unique and i feel that james cameron did not fail to impress people since His blockbuster "titanic".

    your thoughts?

Saw it yesterday. Even though the story line was exactly like "Dances with Wolves", the visuals were completely stunning. A lot of money was sunk into that movie, I give it an A-

Though unlike Titanic you didn't think to yourself "omfg when is this movie going to be over", it definitely kept you interested until the end.

Yes the story was a bit lacking, but the experience, A+.

If anyone is debating to pay the couple bucks more to see it in 3d, do it. I'm probably seeing it again but in IMAX 3d.

    IMAX 3D was sickkkkkk.

okay we walked out of the theater and my sister goes "That was like Pocahontas but with aliens and robots and flying things"
Shes kind of right. But I liked pocahontas so whatever.

And RvR shut your face I LOVE Titanic.

This movie made me so emotional. I know the storyline was a bit cliche and everything, but the visual aspect was just incredible. It was seriously beautiful and symbolic and everything. Just...Excellent movie, I would definitely see it again.

    FUUUUU- I want Imax.

I didn't say Titanic sucked, I said it was boring as hell for a good portion of the movie.

I've not seen it and I'm probably not going to, I dislike movies that only have amazing graphics as it's only good point considering it's story is unoriginal as it's a direct copy pasta from older movies (Dances with Wolves, Atlantis, etc) and isn't a movie adaption of something already existing which sometimes excuses a major lack of plot (though it has to have something more still). Kinda gives off a generic vibe anyway, it's one of those Americans want everything and if they don't get it straight away they start killing, usually the wrong thing when the American army is involved though type off movie . And from what I heard it pulls a District 9 on the audience and makes them feel like shit for being human. Thanks Hollywood. Besides it's advertisement gives me the same feeling as a new FPS game advert, nothing new. It's not for me, I don't care about how good it looks if it hasn't got something else to interest me.

What do you guys mean pay more? I paid the same amount for the ticket for 3D than non-3D. I had to pay for an adult ticket though which is €9.

Whenever I see 3D movies they're usually a few dollars more than regular movies where I live. Not much of a difference, but still. Might be because they offer it in both 3D and non-3D? I don't know. It's worth the ripoff.

I'll probably be seeing it tomorrow. Either Avatar or the Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

It seems most of the male audience is only interested in the actual sinking part. XD

Well what they do here is charge you for the 3D glasses so it costs more then the non-3D version. Even if you already have 3D glasses, you have to pay the same price for the 3D version which includes the glasses in the price.

Going to see it in Imax on New Years eve this week. I'm looking forward to it, everyone else in my circle said it was good in 2D, but way better in 3D.

    Holy jeezis licorice sticks.

    SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FRICKIN AMAZING.

After a little while you forget that its CGI'd. It looks so real. And I really couldn't have given less of a **** that the plot wasn't purely original. So what? James Cameron made it his own.

Love it. Love it. Love it. Love it. Love it. Love it.

But I really had to pee afterward. ><

It's basically Ferngully in 3D. Not much to say about it. At least it wasn't as bad as Titanic.

I truly liked this movie. I went to see it yesterday and I was truly happy that I didn't actually know really anything about the movie until I saw it, so there wasn't too many "Yeah, I knew that would happen" parts.

I've seen both versions - 3D and 2D - and there's not a whole lot of difference. I saw it in 3D the first time, and it's very subtle. Saw it in 2D last night, and I almost forgot that there's a 3D version.

If you get the choice, see it in 3D. But it's just about equally as visually stunning as the 2D version.
