Avalon: The world of no return

"Well she's certainly feisty" Clark said while following Sakura closely behind. "I didn't mean backwater exactly but you clearly arent accustomed to the same kind of living i am.....or used to be anyway" He quickly changed the subject "So what do you do for fun around here? Are there any dangers to watch out for? C'mon c'mon be a gracious hostess" Clark said while scanning the area with his eyes almost electronically.

 

"Shut up! I did not forget your name! I didn't see you, that's all." She scoffed as she got up, extending a hand so her old friend could stand. "Anyway, whatcha you doing here?"

"That's Kyo, feisty, sharp tongue, even sharper survival skills. And for fun, we kill things or we break into stores in the nearest town. And the only dangers are me and Kyo. That I know of." She said the last part under her breath, but she knew Clark probably heard. Suddenly, a low, sharp bark went through her ears. "Did you hear that?"

"Yes, you're both right. You could afford to be less lazy." She said to Ash, but turning to Vin she shrugged. "And he's right, you can always exercise your powers more often." Smirking as she turned, she heard a loud thump! "Let's check that out!" She commanded, running toward the sound.

 

Vin followed her word almost instantly, refusing to address the problem that he had no powers.

Ash unhurriedly walked behind them, "She orders me about as if I'm with her...she'll be in for quite a surprise when I find the right spirit." His powers roamed about, searching for a soul without a body that was strong enough to fight such a woman as Mikazuki.

 

Romeo took her hand and used it to pull him self up."I was taking a nap..."

 

Clark put on a plastic smile after hearing about the leisure activities "Sounds.....thrilling....really....really....thrilling" Great im staying with thieves and murderers And then the bark, which went by Clark completely unnoticed. He looked at Sakura strangely "Um...no? Is it trouble?"

 

"Well, I guess I can let you off with a warning THIS time." Kyoko smiled, remembering that her blade was still in her right hand. Whirling it around, she put it in the small pouch that hung from her back. "You know, I'm soo mad at Sakura right now. The girl thinks we should let a complete stranger in our house." Sighing, she said in a quieter tone, "I'm kinda worried. She used to let me make the decisions just last year. Now, I feel like that little girl I saved five years ago....is all growed up." She chuckled sadly.

Shaking her head yes, Sakura hefted her sword just in case a pack came near. "If a pack comes, you can fend them off, right?" She took slow, even steps forward. "Because I'm pretty sure there are about a dozen headed for us."

Running through the bushes, Mikazuki spotted a familar blue head. "Hey!" She snapped, seeing Kyoko, the leader of the blue team, and another guy. "Kyoko...why are you here? I thought you lived with your family, in Avalon."

Vin followed Mikazuki and stood behind her, his hand on his broad black sword, "Ash, get your lazy self out here!"

Ash pushed through the foilage and imapatiently tapped his fingers against a tree. "Need my assistance? Oh...Milady Kyoko. What wonderful circumstances to meet you here." Ash smiled, though it could barely be seen. He rarely smiled wide enough to be seen.

 

"Same for you. What are you doing here, Mikazuki? Are you lost, or something?" Kyoko and Sakura rarely saw people here, (of all places!) so, they weren't used to seeing five people in an hour. "I mean seriously. What ARE you doing here?"

Mikazuki flipped her black hair back casually. "I'm not lost. I live here. And Ash was trying to find you, if you have to know." Turning to Ash and Vin, she said, "So, you guys good from now on?"

 

Romeo smiled, "Like you've never dozed off before!Anyway about Sakura she is growing up,but thats part of living you should trust her either way" He looked over at Mikazuki,"Hey,whats your name?"

 

Kyoko blushed deeply. "So you say that now?!"

 

"What?",He asked confused

 

Kyoko groaned," Nevermind. That's Mikazuki, leader of the red team." She smacked her forehead and rubbed it. Today was gonna get interesting.

"I didn't need an introduction, thank you anyway. Yes, indeed I am. The two behind me are-"

 

"Why are we out here again?"

 

Ash jumped to the introductions before Vin could slink back into the line he repeated everytime. "Deathchanter Ash. This lug behind me is Vin. You needen't remember his name though. He's with Mikazuki's team. I suppose I'll be spending my days with you lot then." he directed at Kyoko, refusing to look back at Vin.

Vin's face showed his hurt as Ash gave introductions, "Ah, Ash..." He couldn't get a word in from how focused Ash was on Kyoko. Standing back, he watched his new friend distance himself.

 

"Yeah,cause that answers my question..."

 

"Well, I guess he will." Kyo said, looking at Vin's hurt face. "So, um, Vin. We're going to my and my friend Sakura's house the day before we leave. I think its only about five of us, soo..."

Mikazuki sighed to herself, watching Kyoko be friendly toward Vin. 'Why isn't she noticing my pyschic powers? And why can't I read her aura? It's like...like she's got a shell over herself that can't come off.

 

Clark smiled affectionately "A dozen? that it? I was hoping for more of a challenge than that. I'm ready" he said while taking the collapsed bow out of his pocket and holding it closed in his fit. "How far are we from home anyway?" he asked hoping the trip wouldnt take too long, some kind of civilization is what he craved.
