Avalon: The world of no return

Vin lazily blinked in the light, "Who's screaming this early?" Getting up he noticed a girl being attacked by....werewolves? "Things just keep getting weirder." Pulling his sword from his back and disconnecting the chain from his shoulder, he threw it at the werewolf, stabbing it in the back, "Come now. Picking on girls, isn't that a bit...easy?" A smile lit his face as he moved through the brush toward the werewolf, the girl and his sword.

 

" Thanks for the help." Max smiled.
" Whats your name?" She asked

 

Vin smiled charmingly and yanked his sword from the werewolf. The others had run off. "Vin. First Sergent Vincent Mizuhashi. I work for Mikazuki by order of the military. And you ma'am?" he replaced the chain on his armor and tucking the sword back onto his back.

 

" Max, friend of Mikazuki." Max blushed

 

Vin bowed formally, "A pleasure Max, friend of Mikuzaki. Well then, I suppose you know where milady leader is camping out?"

Ash sighed, he'd said too much already. "It's alright Romeo. You don't need to if it bothers you. The undead can do it for you."

 

" Yeah i believe!?" Max smiled. "Its very nice to meet you Vin."

 

Straightening, Vin distantly kept his smile in place as his mind began to wander, "Then you know the way correct? Good, we should leave as soon as possible."

 

"Of course." Max smiled. As Max started walking towards the tree Mikuzaki was hanging. Max walked in silence, she thought to herself," You are the one who saved me right?" " Why do I have a weird feeling?" Trying to keep a smile on her face tears came out of her eyes.
" I can't see clearly." holding her head, because it started to pound really hard.

 

Vin was shocked to see her cry so suddenly, "What's wrong? Miss Max? Are you alright?"

 

Max fell to her knees. "Yeah I'm ok... Its just a pain in the head... I'll be ok." She wiped her tears with the back of her hand.
" Sorry!" Max smiled as she got back up to her feet.
" Oh, and please don't say Miss Max I feel old when people say that." Max started to walk again.

 

Vin sighed and followed behind her, "Alright then." His nature was to call every young lady Miss that he worked for. He knew he'd eventually fall back on his manners and call her Miss Max if he wasn't careful.

 

" Well heres the tree she was at alittle while ago." Max pointed to the tree.
"Again nice meeting you and Thanks for saving me." Max held her hand out and waited for him to shake it.

 

Vin took her hand but didn't shake it. He pressed his lips to the back of her hand and smiled, "The pleasure is all mine."

 

Max blushed, and said," Uh... Um... Well I better get going, before They come after m-!" Max put her hand over her mouth.
" Nevermind, Good bye."

 

Vin held her hand tightly and kept her from moving, "What? Who comes after you?" Vin's odd sense of justice kicking in again and he refused to let her go without a reasonable answer.

 

Max looked in his eyes, shocked. She had no choice, she must tell him.
" The werewolves..... Um I have something they want, that my mother gave me." Max looked down
"Can I go now?" She asked

 

Vin let go of her hand and nodded grudgingly, "If they get too much, you know where to find me." His nearly black eyes followed her movements closely.

 

Max started to walk towards the dark forest.
" Thanks for everything Vin" Max said to herself
When she looked back at Vin she heard werewolves, and thats when she started to run.
"dammit!!!" Max yelled jumping into the river. As she swam to the other half of the forest she notices she had a cut on her arm, and two on her face.

 

Vin watched sorrowfully as Max ran away and disappeared. He'd never been that close to a real girl. His life revolved around protecting people, but getting involved with them wasn't apart of the job description.

 

Sorry. I have to admit, i was a little tired at that moment.
