As for the missing posts maybe they were in a deleted thread? I'm not sure if when a thread is deleted if it sends notification to anyone but the thread owner.

 

Pretty sure it only sends a notification to the thread owner if a thread is deleted. Could be wrong though.

 

See, that's the only issue I have with this. I think we all deserve to be told why our post or thread was deleted or modified. I also think it would be nice to know what modifications were made to our post.

 

Well most of us usually put a reason in the deletions to begin with.

 

Okay. So what would happen with the modification notices? Would the reason just be a general thing like "modified for unnecessary vulgar language" or "modified for inappropriate content" or "modified because it can be." Or would detail be given?

 

Pretty sure it displays what we type into the "Reason for Editing" field, there aren't any set responses.

I lost a post earlier with no notification.

Unfortunately, like Stardust said here, there's no way to look into it without knowing which post it was.

EDIT: Found it. It was a post from this thread made earlier.

 

Wait... so does that mean AutoPM isn't working?

It looks like it was just merged with an existing post of yours in the topic, so nah, not deleted.
