Kingdom Hearts II Automatically Unequipped Abilities

Okay, here's something that has me somewhat baffled.

Why do Jack Sparrow's abilities become automatically unequipped during the first visit to Port Royal and why do Auron's abilities become automatically unequipped during the second visit to Olympus Coliseum?

I understand why they do with Goofy after Demyx, because he gets hit with a rock, but those two others have me baffled.

 

they become unequiped? I've never had that happen to me before.
Where are you noticing this?

 

Well, for example, Jack's abilities are unequipped after he re-joins the party.
If you recall, Will attacks him.

 

At which point were Auron's unequipped?

 

Before the final battle with Hades.

 

Probably cause he was somewhat an enemy for a period of time , it was the second visit where Auron was being controlled for the tournament to defeat Hercules? right?

 

Whenever they leave the party for some reason and come back just before a fight, that happens.
Which is awful since there's no warning or anything.

 

I'm not too sure, but theirs equipaments went back to your inventory as well? I remember that in games of Square Enix when someone from your party leaves, all their equipament is back to your inventory.

If yes, the answer is because you can be using something that give a AP plus into the character. And the characters will pass of the theirs limits to AP.

I do not know, I never equip anything in anyone besides Sora, Donald, Goofy and Riku. xD

But even if you're not using one of those acessories, all the abilities will automatically unequipeds.

Edit: And I remember that when Goofy is hit by the rock, all the equipament he's using went back to my inventory.

 

Equipment meaning his accessories and armour? along with his items.

And i think i can conclude that All three of them have one thing in common , they all left the party during the story mode. I'm sure it happened with Mulan too but she actually turned from ping to Mulan.

 

that actually seems like the most likely explanation. i always wondered why the game did that.
